Thank you so so much for this video!!! I'm starting out on my 6 month Travato trip and the door wouldn't open from the outside, only the inside. I couldn't get the magnet plate off as there are no screws to unscrew it. So I took a screw driver and opened up a little space on the top and shoved a very small piece of once sided vel-cro into the opening. I did this on the bottom as well. Now it works! Thank you again!
Thank you very much! And this is another good reminder to never take your vehicle to the dealership unless it is under warranty or the absolute last resort. They incredibly expensive and usually incompetent
I am sooo sorry you had to pay that. But honestly, better you than me, because I have a Promaster and am trying to do my buisness on a shoe string budget- (about 42K a year) and just have to live with these quirks because I cannot afford a dealer to look into some of these things and pay and pay again. So in light of all good things karma realated and the universe as it is I thank you personally for teaching us how to do this. You are a gift and abel to help others less fortunate that yourself and that my brother will help you sleep better knowing you are doing your part when there are so many rip off artist out there. My the Lord bless you.
What year is your van, and what mechanism are you referring to with your key right at the end of your video. My 2017 3500 seems to have a different handle mechanism, mid-rear door mechanism? 🤷
Same here. So I took a small piece of one sided vel-cro and slid it behind the top and one behind the bottom using a screw driver to give it a little gap. That was enough to bring it out a bit and vuella....it works.
You just saved me $1,000! You’re the man!
“The rest of the story” I am old enough to remember this from driving with my dad. Thanks for the smile.😊

Yup. Good job 👍 I ended up disabling the slider handle and just reach in from the front door.

Thank you for the video. I fixed it without having to pull my wallet out!

2015. The thing I'm pointing to with my key is at the very back of the sliding door, up top.
This is definitely the problem with mine but I can’t figure out how to take that latch off
I don’t see any screws

Thank You so much! I was having the same problem on my PM 3500
It just pries off from the front, there are two plastic thingies that hold it on, nothing threaded
How did you get it open to place the inner tube
Pry it off
Hi my van the dors is not open
