- Hello guys! This is the inside look of my daily life as a logger! If you would like to see more videos like this video drop a comment! This is the first of many on our journey with youtube. Subscribe and be along for the ride with me and Axlady!
Hey bud. I am a 3rd gen logger. Grew up in a logging family. I have ran rubber tire skidder going on 27 years. So I Know what you do and how hard the work is. It also pays for my race car parts and pays the bills. Stay safe buddy
I subscribed today. I liked ax man on America’s list and never knew he was a logger. I did logging 25 years and just got out of it last year. Respect brother. It’s hard work
All jobs are hard work!!
Yeah 😊 Low Buick logging is good hard work and can be dangerous at times but you can make pretty good money if you can stay healthy
Yeah I'll agree 💯% that most jobs can be hard work in one way or another whether it be physical or mental
You had a very long career if you were a logger for 25 years depending on where you were a logger up in the Northwest (Northern California, Oregon, and Washington state
As I was going to say up in the Northwest the average career for a logger u 15 years and up depending on what your particular job might have been
Being a logger is a tough job! They are some very hard working people! Never thought Axman was more of a literal nickname. Great video!
Love that smile Larry has for everything he’s always doing . Seems like a damn good guy !!
He seems so nice!
Always thought it was neat having a Virginia native on one of my favorite Tv shows. Now getting a glimpse in the life of Axman (and lady) makes this channel awesome. Have grown up all my life just a short drive from you over in Buckingham, VA. Logging is a crucial business around here that definitely aides our local economy, providing employment for many. Truly respect the work you do and looking forward to more inside content.
I've had a line business the past 15yrs or so. You have the right attitude about the rain days. It kills so many businesses bc they won't work if the weather calls for rain. I have never had a rain day in over 15yrs because we will sit in the truck and wait for breaks in the rain.
My favorite racer on the tv…he’s there to race, not argue…has a fast car, does not make excuses when he doesn’t win, seems very cordial to everyone, AND has a supportive beautiful wife who seems very into what her husband does….good to see his every day life away from the track…keep up the good work…you’ve got a fan in this ‘ol Texas guy….best wishes….
Definitely keep the videos coming. The behind the scenes stuff is what the fans really enjoy. Maybe a tour of the race car and what kind of engine and set up your running as well.
You’re a good guy Larry! Healthy lifestyle, beautiful wife, great kids and a very fast NOVA…. 🏁🏁🏁 #1 AXEMAN FAN 🏁🏁🏁
Love it “ Not easy letting strangers in your personal life’s : Great job and much respect from an old Canadian 🇨🇦 trucker & logger / drag racer 👍
3 mins in and I already like the content and like how it's filmed. Great job to the videographer. Thanks Axman and Axlady for opening up your life for a closer view of what yall do for real real!
I'm a old truck driver here in VA myself and a drag racer always pull for u guys
Love this Brother;Ive been a tree man for over 30yrs I love it!!!
Great Video! Keep up the good work from cville!
Coolest Down to earth Genuine Ax Lady and AxMan are the favorites of mine Id love to travel to see them both and what you dream about work hard stay true to what you love and who doesn't get excited when AX Man shows up and whoops some big tires Ax whopping some fast drags man shout out from Bedford County small town of Imler Pa
I logged up in SE Alaska for a few years and loved it. I was not a "choker setter". I was a "Babitt engineer" until I got tossed the whistle after our sling trapped camp. Haha Stay safe Axlady and Axman. Prayers for JJ and Trisha. God was in those cars that night.
Good to see you again, definitely 1 of my favorite drivers. That's the real world of Axeman racing. Wish you would run NPK and show these peoplewhat a real racecar is.
AXEMAN 💪💪💪
I bet Mr. Tyrone has got some great stories about Lil' Ax! Great video!
Best street outlaw UA-camr this was so cool to watch!
I lived near you from 1988 till 2005. I drove a truck for MS Carries till Swift purchased us. Then went to Martin till I retired in 2006. I enjoy watching you! Hope to see you some more!
Keep on keeping on! Ya'll have got this!!
Enjoyed part 1 & 2.
Awesome Family, home, & business! Cars look very good. I enjoy your Smiles at the race track, too.

Much more of an apreciation for you after watching this. A lot of times as viewers we forget the struggles and hard work some of you put in to be able to do ur hobby so we can enjoy watching. Godbless and keep safe out there on the track and on the street,
Interesting and very informative. Thanks
Thanks so much for sharing. Be safe, good luck, and have fun regardless.
awesome guys! I had a suspicion that you were logging related when I first saw you on street outlaws. I really liked your "character" so to speak maybe because your a logger. You may know my family Scotty Baker he is my grandpa he invented the Eagle Sky Car which spawn acme, bowman.... it doesn't look like you guys line log? looks pretty flat where your at. I have moved away from the business and am currently in Montana starting a new company of overland building and just started a You Tube channel and I am terrible as far as camera guy/videographer but would appreciate it if you could check it out. Thanks for this video looking forward to part 2. Keep cuttin wood.
I just subscribed. How great to see your family on youtube.I have followed ya'll on Street Outlaws site with JJ and his gang.I watch every episode of Street Outlaws and some of No Prep racing ,it's on Monday night's on the west coast. I was in Logging for15 years or so, had my own truck for awhile.I'm a Naval Air Veteran,78 year's young.I have a 64 Plymouth 426 HEMI, my Son and I race here in the northwest. Keep sending us new video's as much as possible.Safe Safe.A NEW YEAR IS COMING. YIPPEE.
Badass glad they are doing a UA-cam channel. Keep it coming👍
So nice meeting you and your wife this weekend! You are spot on about logging! People have no idea until you own a business on your own, especially a logging business. Between finding good help to finding drivers to the payments and fuel, breakdowns and weather! We used to do some drag racing too! We use TigerCat, Cat, and John Deere. We used to have prentice loaders.
Its hard an dangerous, got run over by a tigercat sawhead cause sumone wasnt watching out. One me but lesson well learned. This work gets in ur blood. Fun an dangerous. Keep safe Axman!!
I meat ax in maryland a few years ago. Real down to earth cool dude. I wish you were in the npk this year ax. Keep up all the hard work.✌
I like the video. Not everyone knows how mechanized the industry is. A long way from the bow chainsaw days. I have cooked many tons of chips @ a paper mill. Love your racing too!
So this is what Memphis Larry does for a living… And I thought Ax Man came from all the heads he was cuttin at the track…
Great to hear the stories about the long term friendships!
Gday from down downunder from one Axeman to another Axman . Stay safe out there guys!
I worked the old Sawmills and cut wood my whole younger life!!! Tough work! Lots of respect for you axe man!!!!!!!
I'm a journeymen trimmer. Well I "was" as a young man. Hahaha. Mostly power line clearance, but did a sh×t ton of private residential work as well. I have suffered from Rheumatoid Authorities for 15yrs, so my days of tree work has greatly diminished!! LoL Always pulled for Y'all because of the fire in your heart that you race with, and now I know your a Timber/Tree man... Like Y'all even more !! AXTTF!! 🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸
The videography is exquisite. Such a clear and accurate site of Axman and the scenery. Camera man is on point. Awesome job you guys.
Great video Larry. I own a logging company here in Washington state also. You hit it on the head, payments never stop even if the work does!
Axman an Axlady are awesome and to of the most respectful people out there love watching everything you an Sarah do best of luck to you this upcoming season and Axman would love to work for ya one day only live 4 1/2 hrs from your area
Thank you for making a channel! I've met you a couple times at the race track! You definitely are my favorite car and driver!
I never knew that the ax man was a logger...he's koo a regular guy and humble...even after being in the spotlight...don't change ...good luck ...and you do have a fast ass car...
Axman good to see there is still some very hard workers. hard to find any more love it.
I can't say from personal experience but I do know logging is dangerous, hard work. Making profit is more than just tough, it is almost impossible so keeping a business alive multiple generations and still finding time and $$ to campaign a VERY QUICK drag car says tons about Larry and his family's good business sense. Wishing the Nova's continuing success!!
One job I can hounestly say that as a past driver that is one job I do miss. Hauling logs. I drove a 1984 KW 900, triple 4, 15 over, costumised 53 thou rockwell diffs with full lock up detroit lockers. I spent better part of a full month stuffing a kw big 6 suspention under that ol hauler, and mounting the diffs, the top racks and saucer of a Columbia pole trailer. welding in the back apron taking the tractor from a road truck to a full logger. But the big part was the every trip Adrenilon rushes, comming out of the brush with 50 to 65,000 stacked up to the clouds. every trip you made into the mill was a full fillment of accomplishment. I seen trucks wreaked, rolled and ran off into the trees. All our work was winters in snow and ice, and some hills just say was enough to wish you never saw a dam truck. Twice I still have no idea what saved me from loosen it, but I did come home every spring on my own wheels.
Diggin it.. I like that you guys stay so humble just good ole boy.
That's cool to see the daily side on these race car drivers. TV is one thing but nice to see this side👍
Always knew I had connection with ax for some reason. I’ve logged my whole life. I was raised up In it my dad owned logging crew for ever. Keep up the good work buddy.
Great video! You need to have a reality show on logging! I know they use to have one called Swamp Loggers! Keep these coming! Can't wait to see you racing with JJ again!
Badass Man! My Buddy just got his woodmeiser mill goin....Loved ya on Noprep, keep it up. I've got a '30 Ford Coupe Hot Rod, it's a FAST street car! At just shy of 2100lbs the Duntov 283, 3 Rochesters, and the 4 speed with a Shieffer Aluminum Flywheel makes her HARD to beat stoplight racing....
Hey Ax family. I have been following you for a while. I use to drive log trucks and enjoyed the logging business. Being a truck owner was hard with the mill prices always up and down. But you being a Virginia guy was awesome cause I'm from dinwiddie. I bracket race and run the index class at npk. I drive a dump truck now a little bit more stable money to keep things going. Hope to see y'all soon and would love if your schedule allowed to see you at Vmp April 22 and 23 for npk. Come to race or just hang out with us. I'll buy the beer and have a band come out and we will party and have a great time. Keep the videos coming
Hey Larry.. been watching you on tv since your debut! I own and operate two sawmills up in Northern VA. Keep up the hard work man!
Great video Larry I bet you guys have some good Bigfoot stories
The drone footage at the beginning was great. Really like to see the real life behind the scenes, Merry Christmas, Stay safe.
This is too cool man I remember you coming out to Piedmont dragway in North Carolina and that car was the baddest thing in 5 county’s that day.
I'm a tree climber been in tree work almost 20 years. My hobbies are racing and fishing but yea I always wondered where axman came from.
Awesome video, good to see a different side to the most humble man on street outlaws.
I thoroughly enjoyed that. Looking forward to learning more about the logging business. 🤘
He gotta be like my favorite guy on the Street Outlaws. Yes I know he’s not im every street outlaw show but still. He looks and acts like a genuine guy and cool asf.

Sometimes it’s nice to see beer clouds moving in lol. Price of lumber right now you’re basically loaded giant gold bars in those trucks
"I'm not gonna leave... I'm not gonna believe you".... That was the Kry Kelly lesson! 😂😂😂 I like this version of "loggers" better!
Larry and Sarah the real deal from Jersey
I really enjoy seeing what these guys / girls do outside of racing and who they really are. Not who the shows make them out to be!

Ngl i didn't like Axman at 1st. Especially after he cried about the #1 spot on America's list. But after watching more and more episodes about him and his life. He has become one of my favorite guys. He deserves all the success he has and in the future! 💯👏🏾
Great video. Ready to see more
