Sir, thank you so much for this vid (and the dis-assembly one) - my much loved Elitebook 2560p died recently but I bought a reclaimed motherboard and by following your very detailed steps I am now back up and running - your vid has to be one of the best that I've come across in terms of it's great detail - thank you once again.
i doudt it was shown, but there is supposed to be a heat pad on the chipset, so it makes contact with point on the case. Mine didn't have this :o.. (also might had been taken apart before)... but maybe this also could be cause of failure maybe.
Hey bro. i have a question. I have a hp 2570p i5. Last month it stopped working without any reason (maybe because of power problem of home). I changed Ram, Hd and CPU, but doesn't work. Just fan work for some seconds and again off (repeat repeat ...). Just one time turned on for 30min I updated bios and installed new windows, off again and again fan on off ..... . What's your idea? If I take a new Motherboard will work again??? Thanks
I had a similar issue with my 2560p. We had a storm and there was an outage, with my laptop going dead ever since. I tried everything, and the only thing that worked was a new motherboard. You might first try removing the battery and see what happens when you plug it in without it.
@@reza524 Can you count the blinks of the battery indicator (left front side) when you plug it in and try to press the power button? I know this count of blinks has a meaning to the motherboard issues. We could look into that as well.
@@piotrpeter actually when I connect to charger, the battery indicator is on that mean is charging, except that, when I press Power key, all 3-4 indicators ( battery , Hd, ..) turn on for 2-3 second, Fan work too, and all Turn off again.
@@reza524 OK, if you can you should also check the charger for power/voltage to the system. Also, try this solution then: 1. undo all the screws of the case; 2. unpin laptop battery; 3. unpin cmos battery; 4. hold power (30 sec); 5. connect cmos battery; 6. connect laptop battery; 7. run it. There was this guy on the Internet who executed this procedure and successfully restored their HP to life.
