Matt, how do you use the cactus and prickly pears

Dawn, thanks for watching. You can place the prickly pear fruits in a container of water and agitate them for a couple of minutes to remove thorns and make them easy to handle - alternatively you can burn of the glochids with a lighter (more effective method just dont cook your fruit). Then peel the skin and it's ready to eat. Not mentioned in the video, the paddles of the prickly pear can similarly be consumed - remove glochids, peel, boil the peeled paddle, and then chop and add to a salad.
The Dragonfruit cactus can be easily reproduced simply by cutting at one of the hard narrow joints, allow to callous off, and then placing it sideways in soil. It will quickly set root when in contact with soil and will grow rapidly with plenty of sun, water, and nutrients. These cactus produce delicious fruits of high value and varying color.
