Chemicals ka istemaal pre treatment me hi karna chahiye...
Agar aapke aeration ka pH km ho gya ha to aap feed ka pH badha ke feed kr sakte ho... but feed effluent crystal clear hona chahiye...
Feed k saath lime .. caustic add krne se feed turbid ho jata h.

Not directly but we can say... Agar pH badega to bacterial activity kam ho sakti hai aur agar bacterial activity kam hogi to dissolve oxygen ka istemal kam ho jaega means do badh jaega.

Some filamentous bacteria depends on dissolve Oxygen and some are not. accordingly the former can be eliminated by stopping air and the letter by use of chlorine.
