It’s all my favorite activities rolled in to one. Motorcycles, camping and alcohol. 😂. Great video. Can’t wait to see what’s next in the adventure series.
What would be cool is using those wireless small cctv cameras from blink on your cellular network. That way you can have a really efficient and portable security system
A Cantanary cut tarp (kind of diamond shape with curved edges) will stay very taught when put in place. Something like a Kelty Noahs Tarp woulod be ideal.
stealth moto camping is something in life I haven't done yet, so I'm prepping to go live nomad around the US and see friends and stealth camp some and also on regular public land
Hi Jake, try a ThruNite flashlight in "Firefly" mode, 0.1 lumin. Like walking around with a candle's light pointed only at your feet. 50+ days of battery life.
11:19 my dad had his SLT GMC stolen up in Dallas last year. they ended up recovering it in Louisiana after a traffic stop. The idiots left his plates and sticker on it. Also came back with beer cans in the bed and mud in the interior.
Hammock camping wasn’t really a thing when I was a scout but we did it anyways. I had a normal just hangout in hammock. I use to suspend mosquito net around it and a tarp over top. Was very nice in the Summer.
I like those pour over coffee things, I have some Folgers instant coffee packets that are like the crystal light things for water bottles except for coffee and it's okay definitely not that great
The stock exhaust is basically a zero 😂. I recently picked up a first gear insulated/waterproof suit from revzilla. Very nice. I can ride down into the 40’s with just a t shirt and jeans under it. Just throw on the gloves and boots it makes suiting up quick! I ride down into the 20’s here in ga. (On my triumph) sold my fz.
Just recently got into Steve Wallis and all the Stealth camping shenanigans. Im honestly shook that my other favorite UA-camr referenced another seemingly unrelated channel! Also, i have the same frickin camping stove set.
When I stated building this adventure bike I started researching how people camp on motorcycles. Real quick I realized that in Texas I was probably going to have to stealth camp at times. You can’t look up stealth camping without seeing mr Steve!
When the water dribbles down the side of the pot like that, guide it with your spoon. It's honestly a burn hazard I've splashed myself plenty of times with my cheapo pot.

Honestly that is the only thing i'm unclear of to start doing this. Good job.. Jake. I've never thought that I could do this around dfw but u prove me wrong everytime since 2014.
@@jimperry4420 lol... Thanks Jim and Jake. My original reply was to thank you for all the details in the your videos but just found out that it kinda looked like requesting for more details ... Lol
I really enjoyed this vid. Its definitely a change of pace from your normal content, but in a good way. Life isnt just about dank whoolies, and making fun of DoItWithDan :/ It’s also about watching Jake mix hot coco with coffee and avoiding getting hit by bird shot.
😂 for real though it’s wild the different places and things motorcycles and this channel has taken me. I love playing in so many different field. Supermoto, dual sports, Grom rides, adventure Moto, a 636 build, even flew Paramotor’s for a bit. Man it’s such a wild ride.
Little late to the party but nevertheless i notice you use your phone and go pros for filming. Have you thought of making a "powerbox" for camping? I made one for my motocamping to run various things and it charges from my bike or solar. Super nice thing to have.
You have a real good set up! It looks fun, but definitely not for me. My most favorite thing is motorcycles, but my least favorite is camping. Once I moved from Utah to Texas, I ruled camping out completely. But your bike seems to be awesome for your adventure meets hooligan style!👍👍
Steeevvvveeee he's great. I've always thought of stealth camping on a motorcycle but feel like you can only do it in your local area that you know spots well enough to do. Wish it wasnt so bad to do it like cross country. BTW I'm over west of Fort Worth past Weatherford. A lot of good spots i've scoped out. There was a guy killed in Lipan, Tx (right down the road from me) that got killed by a mountain lion. They're here. Also coyotes bigger than german shepherds i've seen while riding my bike on the backroads.
Can’t believe your strict laws for camping there! Is that just Texas? Over in Scotland we can camp and go wherever we want, same thing in most of Europe especially in Scandinavia (Sweden, Finland, Norway) I live in my van in Europe so have to know a lot of those laws (I keep my DRZ in the garage part of my van) it’s a nice way to live 👍🏼
Stealth camping with bright hunter-orange and neon yellow Klim. Gotta go hi-viz. Never know when a coyote might collide at a deer trail intersection, as everything is out to kill motorcyclists. As far as hammocks go, the correct way to set them up is to achieve optimal angle on both ends, enough sag, and the correct size hammock per one's body to allow for an almost-flat diagonal hang. Everything else is goofy marketing. There's actually a pretty cool book written on the subject of those transitioning out of tents to hammocks. I recommend. www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Hang-Hammock-Camping-Illustrated/dp/1478351187/ref=sr_1_2 And yes, carry a snubby .38 or at minimum, a nice can of bear spray. Bears will tear a car apart to get to a stick of gum. Cougars or mountain lions will tear "other" apart if they want to. But I think a blast of mace would deal with most animal threats.
The haven tent hammock is different. You want the top cable tight. It can’t flip if you look at the design. The sleeping part is suspended below the top line. It’s a pretty smart system. Truly flat, it’s like sleeping on a bed.
Oh yea, getting everything to dry out later so it doesn’t mold can be a pain if you don’t have room in the garage, or waiting for it to finally be dry enough to air it out and then contend with possible mold. Of course I’ve done worse like going to the wash rack to spray down a launcher in below freezing temps. Hard to clean the vehicle when the water freezes to the mud 🤦♂️.
6:53 - There's no bears or anything in this part of Texas. You want some? Let's ship you a truck full of them 🐻 from Washington & BC. Please take 'em. 😂 Btw, that side rotopax looks good.
