How to Replace the timing belt and tensioner on a 2013 Toyota Hilux 2.5 2KD-FTV Engine Code. Also procedure shown on how to reset the t belt warning light on the dash.

Torque Settings :
Timing belt tensioner roller - 35NM (10mm allen bolt)
Timing belt tensioner - 13NM (2x10mm bolts)
Timing belt cover bolts - 6NM

Good clip you have however forgot to mention to take care not to drop the washer on the back of the tentioner bolt . If you tighten this bolt with out the washer it will lock up the movement of the tentioner

Another great vid, thanks for the clutch one too. I'm going to do the water pump and auxiliary belt and pulleys at the same time, according to the workshop manual its quite involved!

I’ve watched a few videos of cam belt changes but both cars we have use chains as I am paranoid about belts after my uncle blew an engine up years ago! . I was thinking of getting a Transit Custom (wet belt)… what a shit design ! I ain’t getting a vehicle with wet cam after what I’ve read!:).Your vid is the easiest cambelt change I’ve ever seen. No cam lock tool required, no removing engine mounts to enable access to take off an expensive, one use, wafer thin cam belt cover etc etc Looks like a good engineer designed this engine:). Btw thx for video very clear and to the point. I’m off to Autotrader to look at Hi Lux. Btw I thought HiLux used chain?

Other people said that timing belt must be replaced together with the tensioner idler and tensioner adjustor. How true is it sir?
