Great tutorial. Can I ask why you would need to re-align all images after you have created separate components from smaller alignments (5:36)? Does it use the other aligned components before tackling the individual images? It feels like it's repeating the process a little and ignoring the processing it's done, but I'm guessing it isn't?
That alignment was used to merge all small components. As the features are already detected, this is a quicker process as aligning all images in one step.
06:17 Hello. Can you explain this part in more detail? As far as I understand, I chose the camera from PEX_02, but I think the scene of PEX_02 was moved to the exterior ground.
Hi, that part is just showing, how to select the images from smaller component quickly. You don't have to select those images in a big component, but easier from a smaller one. PEX_02 is separate components, after merging, there is a new one which is using images from PEX_02.
hi, what does the "CTRL+R" do, when you press it twice? i tried to look in some manuals, but there is only mentioning of single pressing this combo .. also, if I need to delete some mis-aligment, how can I do that? Can I delete the source photos directly? as I found out only after alignment, which are wrong ..
Hi, CTRL+R - Disable an image - Disable/enable an image selected in the 3D view for further processing. It is not possible to delete the image after alignment. You can disable it for the alignment and then align your data again.
This. Is. FANTASTIC!
Thanks so much for sharing this!
