- When I saw this segment on "The Boys" these 2 characters came to mind for some reason. Probably because Scaramouche is simply a failed product of what Raiden Shogun is supposed to be. Stan Edgar hella gave me chills when I saw it the first time.

Oddly enough he wasn't actually "thrown away", EI was going to kill him, but when she realised he was a gentle soul she choose not to and let him free, it was the betray of the people and the fatui who made scaramouche the devil he is today

This is how Saramouche view Ei in his head.
As someone he should be above, but can't escape the need to be appreciated and accepted from her.
He feel the need to be above her and for her to approve of him as a mother.
But he fear that she will simply label him as a failure even if he take her down and still be empty by it.
When in all reality, she just wanted him to live his own life and find his own path as she stay on hers.

@@papercat2599 He didn't hate her at that moment and he had Yae as a nanny. The resentment really came after his friend got killed because of some crime and Scara took the entire mess really bad. The Fatui then just made the whole mess worse.

Giancarlo Esposito is such a talent. He can be both comforting and intimidating at the same time
You give life to these characters through their facial expressions and body language. A pity the game itself doesn't go in depth with their characters physically speaking, feels like a bunch of maniquens talking to each other.

Probably because: A)Scara thinks himself a god. B)Scara is literally an experiment. and C)Just like Homelander, Scara would try to be intimidating towards an actual god, only to be brought down mentally.
What's crazy is that she let him live because she couldn't bring herself to kill him. He aimlessly traveled the world until the Fatui showed up. So him being a drifter doesn't come as much of a surprise.

I don't know why but something tells me that before the end of the story, these 2 are going to have an ultimate showdown. The Fatui are an interesting group. They're not as evil as the Abyss Order but their not as good as the good guys (Traveler, Archons, and other vision holders). They are an entire 3rd party, which adds an extra layer of complexity to the story. I just have to wonder, what did the Cryo Archon say or do to get some many people to give her their complete devotion. I calling it right now. I think the Shenznya chapter of the Genshin Impact story is going to be the greatest of them all to the point when it happens.
Abyss order is not exactly "evil". It's kinda clear that the distinction between good and evil is blurred.
the abyss order isn't evil, the traveler, the abyss order, the fatui, and the archons all have 1 goal in mind, defeat the keeper of heavenly principles, it's just how they go about doing it that changes how we view them, the abyss order and the fatui are "evil" because they're cruel, the archons aren't because, uh, yes, and the only "evil" in genshin is the keeper of heavenly principles, the ones who took down the primordial one.
