I remember back in school, after each class of sitting still for an hour, I would put on loud happy hardcore music and dance on the tables to get that energy moving again. The most profound shift that has to happen as you mention also, is that recognition of The Self - that it Is this! The ultimate connection is that life is happening and doing you. The divine central vortex is here as this very moment, piercing the Sushumna, the "avatar" simply has to listen very deeply and be so intimate with the experience of life, that it completely silence your doubt about creation as a true act of love for it self as One. Else there wouldn't be this. The One does not doubt the truth of its own unfoldment - Home:)!
