On October 27, 2018, BAFTA Los Angeles honoured Cate Blanchett with the Britannia Award for Excellence in Film, presented by American Airlines and Jaguar Land Rover. In her acceptance speech, the actress pays tribute to the cult director Stanley Kubrick.
Kathleen Kennedy was there in person to present the award.
Previous recipients include Matt Damon (2017), Jodie Foster (2016), Meryl Streep (2015) and Robert Downey Jr. (2014).
