Pastamania turned into a McDonald's for years. It was the only McDonald's that served Pepsi because they were a sponsor of MOA. Was great to get a mountain dew with my quarterpounder
Pastamania is when Hulk was in WCW not WWF/WWE in 1995 . Hulk & Eric Bischoff (pres of WCW ) made a deal with MOA for him to have restaurant in dealing with having the First Monday Nitro event in September of 1995 . Monday Nitro was the head to head tv show to go against Vince McMahon's Monday Night Raw called the Monday Night Wars (WCW vs WWF/WWE) . Which lead to the attitude era (stone cold, the rock, DX, etc) and later on Vince McMahon bought WCW for $5M ( $100M+ dollar company for $5M) what a deal!
My son and I really enjoyed that Era of wrestling. My son was 5 at the time it was awesome time in our lives. We talk about all the time of course he doesn't remember all of it. Thanks for the information

I saw a show with a Hulk Hogan interview, and he said that he had been approached by a company wanting to name their new grill after him. He said he declined because he was probably going to sign with a different company so they could use his name for their meatball making machine. The meatball machine flopped, and the grill company ended up signing their second choice, George Foreman, who made a fortune with it. 😂
He was part of WCW at the time. The first episode of WCW Nitro on TNT came from the Mall of America. The announcer interviewing him at the restaurant is former WCW president and on air talent Eric Bishoff.
I always wanted to go to the mall of America since I was a kid growing up in the late 90s/early 2000s. I remember seeing it on tv specials and thinking it looked so cool. Your video makes me think it might be time to take a road trip over there. It’s about 20 hours from us, the same distance as Orlando.
Right when i started watchi g the video. I was gonna comment that there was a hulk hogan food place in there.. then bam. Lol. Thanks for the blast from the past. My siblings and i used to live in Minnesota for part of the year to be with our dad. And our step mom would take us here quite often.
I remember this place being built back in 1990 and hearing about it being opened and always wanted to visit there. It was built to be so large to provide a refuge from the brutal Minnesota winters. People in Minnesota are said to be very friendly, which makes coping with the winters better. Minnesota Nice and Minnesota Ice.
Happy Friday night from Australia.. what a good way to end my day (and working week) by watching this vlog before bed 😊 thanks Adam and safe travels, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your vlogs..
I had the pleasure of visiting the Mall of America the first week it all opened. I went back to the Mall of America a number of times to go to Camp Snoopy. I really enjoyed the theming and rides with the famous Charlie Brown piano music playing throughout the park. Nickelodeon has squeezed more attractions into the tight space, but I liked it better as Camp Snoopy. I had heard the Log Flume had closed for good, but I'm delighted to see it's still operating. Thanks for visiting this amazing icon Adam. You Rock.
My oldest granddaughter wanted to go to MOA for her high school graduation gift. We had a great time shopping. I loved the Peeps store! Took her to dinner at Dicks Last Resort which was a hoot. They sat her in an adult high chair for dinner. It was hilarious! We had a fabulous weekend! BTW that was 12 years ago..
Hey Adam great video at Mall of America in Minneapolis, MN..Plus Hulk Hogan's former restaurant Pastamania, other great stores, riding attractions and more..Enjoy
Went to MOA for the first time last winter, def worth the 5 or 6 hour drive for us, great winter theme park fix when everything else in the midwest is closed
Are you unaware of the aquarium that was in the basement? Seems like a thing you'd bring up. There used to be a real nice, big aquarium there. It was cool! I'm not an expert in many things my friend, but, there is very little I've not learned about Knott's Berry Farm, my absolute favorite non Disney park. The Log Ride at Knott's was built by the now defunct company "Arrow Development" the chute ride you're enjoying today. formerly known as Paul Bunyan's Log Chute, was in fact built by Hopkins Rides. Fun fact for a man obsessed with Hollywood tie ins, John Wayne and his young son Ethan were first to ride Knott's famous log ride on July 11, 1969. The Duke spent a lot of time in Bud Hurlbut's machine shop at Knott's, he designed the original version and also designed and built Calico Mine Train.
Also a full part pArk with over 20 full sized water slides. Massive world class. Wave pool…. 3 mini golf courses. And a year. Around. Hunted house. 2 level go, kart track…..
