    Some of the best animation I've ever seen! You brought so much life and personality to the characters; especially where they sneak into the fortress. Can't wait to see more!

      It depends on what you want to do but these two are good for adding fx
      1) After Effects 20$/month
      2) Motion 5 50$/lifetime

    Huh, very interesting, fascinating stuff! I was wondering:you seem to use that same kind of wire to animating jumping/flying characters quite often. Is there a specific kind of wire that works best for that, that you would recommend?

    What kind of camera settings do you use? Also what do you do to mask out the wires?

    • @boombybimblebikbus
      @boombybimblebikbus 8 років тому

      +bigrickmachine Masks in Adobe After Effects, then a clean shot of the background put behind it

    • @bigrickmachine
      @bigrickmachine 8 років тому +1

      Prosser Media I know that, thats what I do but I always have some problems when doing it and I would like to know how he specifically does it

    • @boombybimblebikbus
      @boombybimblebikbus 8 років тому

      bigrickmachine There isn't much else to it... Some tips would be to use about 2 pixel feathering and making sure that the camera DOES NOT move when you're taking the shot to go behind the mask.Green screens can also be useful instead of masking and make sure to use Keylight for keying

    • @bigrickmachine

    how do you move green screen elements from one side of the screen to another, if they are not shot moving that in the actual photos. I am doing an animation and in one scene needs to be underwater, and there need to be fish.

    Do them in a green slightly different than the screen so you don't have to mask them out.

    All of your behind-the-scenes videos are amazing! For an amateur like me at stop motion, without use of compositing, what do you suggest I do with simple stop motion apps? I want to incorporate large crowds in my videos and add other cool special special effects. What are some of the things you use around the house to help you create your videos? I ask you because you are so awesome. Thanks!

  • @lotsatoast
    @lotsatoast 8 років тому

    I love this video! Just a little tip. In almost all stop motions ever there is no motion blur, so when you composite things in and add motion blur afterwards, it looks very different from all of the other things that aren't composited in. So I suggest trying one without the motion blur, but either way your stop motions are still AMAZING.
