Never in my life have I seen a moose turn tail, that horse is one brave creature(thankfully they didn't have antlers so they might have not been full grown, I think that's why they dipped, still brave though)
I had a small stallion that would kill anything that got in his pasture, dogs, woodchucks, whatever. I warned the neighbors who liked to let their dog chase the horses while they watched, and patched the fence where he was getting in. They cut the fence, let him in and then were screaming at me to call off the horse. I shook a bucket of oats, but he was on a mission. Finally the dog got back through the hole they cut in the fence. I told them that they needed to mend it this time, and next time don't yell for me to rescue their mutt.
Hehehe ..... A cowboy buys a horse from the town pastor. The pastor explains, “To make the horse go, you gotta yell, ‘Thank God!’ And to make it stop, yell, ‘Hallelujah.’” The cowboy rides away. He rides all day and starts to nod off in the saddle when he notices he is about to ride straight over a cliff. Searching his memory, he yells to the horse, “Hallelujah! Hallelujah!” The horse grinds to a stop just at the edge of the cliff. The cowboy wipes the sweat off his forehead. “Phew!” the cowboy sighs. “Thank God!”
"Oi! This is MY territory! Move on!" *notices moose still standing there watching* "Oh, ya want to go again? Bring it!" *proceeds to prance around and posture like crazy* XD
In Thoroughbred racing, there use to be a rather famous horse called Dynaformer... he was a very big blocky plain looking horse with kind of a big long head that wasn't pretty as most thoroughbred heads either. Years after he retired, a rare sighting of a moose happened at Saratoga race park...and one of the famous trainers there, said he saw it earlier and just thought that Dynaformer had escaped the farm and returned. lol That horse in the video is pretty amazing and brave to go up against a moose. I live in Idaho and we have moose here and I think, by the locals, anyway, people are more afraid of running into a moose than a bear when out in the boonies. A lot of people don't realize how very dangerous moose, elk and deer can be, they can get quite aggressive and their hooves can cut someone up just like a knife can.
Yeah, Moose are forces of nature when angered. However, so are horses. 😂 I grew up on a farm, and nothing ever fucked with the horses. Our horses would even run deer out of the field, territorial.
Hey fellow Idahoan! Yeah, when hiking, I’ve encountered a pair of wolves, a wolverine (VERY far away and very neat), badgers, porcupines, deer, elk, moose, etc. Moose are amazing, but you absolutely steer clear of them. They’re the biggest things in the woods and they know it. The only things that might send me scrambling for distance faster would be finding a bear cub or a cougar cub. That would be both cuteness overload and absolutely terrifying.
@@thunderatigervideo I get the bear cub thing, I've had 2 occasions where I've come across them, and in one incident was wondering where mama bear was at. In the other incident, I was on a 4-wheeler, headed down a road to the bottom of a creek, where the road make a U, and would take you back uphill on the other side of that creek. Two bear cubs and mama bear were at the bend...the cubs up on the road and the mama bear in the creek. She immediately ran up to be by her cubs and looked at me and 2 other people who were with me. We all turned around and headed back the way we came from as fast as we could...lol I haven't seen a cougar cub ever, but have encountered a full grown one, who luckily decided to run off, rather than show interest in me. Have been very close to moose to, but fortunately, have been inside of a truck...still those things can look down on you as you are sitting inside a pick up truck. .
I've seen videos where they want to meet each other, and get closer, so the horses slowly, and timidly walk up to the moose, but the moose are too shy and they never get closer than about 20 feet.
Thunder says : Excuse me who are you? Are you lost? Get off my lawn! 😂😂😂😂 I had a mustang that chased everything out of his territory. Good job Thunder!
I love how is tail is high....that is his territory. Beautiful. Lovely shot of the moose in the woods...all those colours, the glow of sunset. Very nice.
Don't be overly certain of that. I've seen some very mean and aggressive Mustangs that would let even a large Moose know it was in a real fight including the hunks of flesh they'd bite out of his ass in the process antlers or no antlers.
I used to have a pet moose named Stormageddon. Every year he'd grow the most awesome set of velvety antlers. I'd saddle him up, with some custom gear I had made up just for him, and take him mooseback riding almost everyday.
Next time a moose or any other animal comes in your yard , sic thunder on them . Hey there’s a moose on my property. Whistle twice and say , here boy , then say sic em , he’ll run them off . Good boy , now that’s a guard horse .
I have never seen this kind of behavior from a horse before now. I am impressed with Thunder. Was thunder the animal making the guttural grunting sounds after the moose were chased away? I have not heard those sounds previously either. Thanks for sharing the video. :)
There have been some horse videos popping up lately showing horses being pretty dominant. Apparently, they're not scared of bears, bison, alligators and now moose!
Am i seriously the only person that by the time the moose got up by the garage was like "yep... and now i would have peed in my pants. Surely at the latest by now." ???
The horse is protecting his family, horses are remarkable if they feel an animal is a threat they will come after it, just natural, I think the horse wouldn't of had any problems with the moose because it was on his turf, now if the horse was on the moose territory it would of been another story, believe it or not a full grown horse will run any animal out of his/her area even a grizzly especially if they have a strong bond with humans esp kids they will protect with their life!!!! When you have a horse for a companion they're very protective, they will interact with you in so many awesome ways that most people wouldn't expect!! Also it wouldn't surprise me if these two know each other and it's a game they like to play with each other, we had a Welsh pony who played tag with a grown white tail deer, they became good buddies and loved each other!
The moose is wondering what he did wrong. The horse is thinking, "That Ugly horse better not mess with my mares!"
Hahahaha that's too funny! Loved your comment
Whyd I read that with a country accent XD
Lol
i got a good laugh outta that.

Neither of the moose have antlers. Not even short "stump" ones.
The first was most likely a cow and the smaller is her yearling calf
Huh...usually horses are flight animals....you’ve got yourself a guard horse.
Was that a stallion? The tail was very high in attitude, very proud.
The horse was either like GET OFF MY LAWN or WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT MY MAMA
Horses especially stallions are actually very protective of their territory. They will attack
Never in my life have I seen a moose turn tail, that horse is one brave creature(thankfully they didn't have antlers so they might have not been full grown, I think that's why they dipped, still brave though)
That is the BIGGEST guard dog I've ever seen.
I didn't know that horses are territorial.
That kick of joy for winning that battle was sweet.

@@jturtle5318 It must've been really hilarious to see neighbors with huge inflated egos become silenced, humbled, and fearful.
@@cohlinegarnet8313 it was.
Lol yeah .. horses really do have spirit, and a sense of humor xD
that whiff of townie/s just by itself though, eh......
Horse: hey you, yeah, you two.....I have worked really hard training my humans. Get lost. Find your own humans!

"apparently Thunder, the horse, does not like moose"
Fricken killed me right there
😂 🤣

What do you have protecting your animals? I've got a guard horse lol
Your comment made me laugh
Hahaha fuck yeah!
Haha 😅
Nice dog! Some people respond 'doberman' or 'pitbull' so would this be a pithorse?
OP pls nerf
How beautiful gorgeous and noble this horse is!!!
I love how your animals are free but know to stick around ☺️
Just wait until the moose comes back with his buddy. Let’s see how well that horse will do when he’s up against both moose AND squirrel!
That's funny. The horse is like " Yo this is my yard!" Lol

@Stormy Peak….That horse, Dynaformer, sired derby winner Barbaro. I recall when Dyna was racing…..trained by D.Wayne Lukas.
The horse seems so proud and happy :). Beautiful.
How interesting. Didn't expect a horse would react that way.
I've seen videos where they want to meet each other, and get closer, so the horses slowly, and timidly walk up to the moose, but the moose are too shy and they never get closer than about 20 feet.
LifeGoesNorth it's a male, they're ridiculously territorial
Cuse its a male 😐
Oh, a horse will protect what it is familiar with pretty much like a dog. They are good friends to have around.
chickens be scattering tho, no surprise's there.
Love horses they are like giant dogs. Lol awesome homestead .
Well Thunder is GORGEOUS! And that's the biggest guard dog I ever saw! LOLOL :D
That's one big guard dog you have there!
Thnder was taking care of the intruders. He knew they didn't belong there. Smart horse.
😯wow I didn't expect a horse to be territorial - thanks for sharing this interesting video 👍
Yeah, especially if it's a male horse, that tail was raised so high lol proud lil fella
That's great! Our horses smash the fence trying to escape from the moose.
Good horse! I would be careful around mating season though, moose can get extremely aggressive in that time and thunder might not be so lucky
Thunder says : Excuse me who are you? Are you lost? Get off my lawn! 😂😂😂😂
I had a mustang that chased everything out of his territory. Good job Thunder!
What I would do to have a house with no neighbors for a mile or two. Beautiful setting
Did you do it?
until your foot gets crushed by a moose hoove and you have no one to drive you to the hospital 25km away
I love how is tail is high....that is his territory. Beautiful. Lovely shot of the moose in the woods...all those colours, the glow of sunset. Very nice.
That’s cool! Thunders a badass! Love the tail up and all business. Don’t even get his chickens riled up lol
Good boy thunder, protecting his little mare. Really a great video!
your horse is the best!
The horse would fuck up the moose
Don't be overly certain of that. I've seen some very mean and aggressive Mustangs that would let even a large Moose know it was in a real fight including the hunks of flesh they'd bite out of his ass in the process antlers or no antlers.
Those antlers could really hurt the horse.
Carol V Have you seen how hard horses bite?
Haha get em Thunder get em ! Beautiful horse by the way.
My horses never minded moose. The horses usually ignored the moose. Bears on the other hand are a different story. ;)
It's a watch horse ! Love it ! Go Thunder !
Such a beautiful home! I would do anything to live like That, away from the city, and in a safe area from crime
I used to have a pet moose named Stormageddon. Every year he'd grow the most awesome set of velvety antlers. I'd saddle him up, with some custom gear I had made up just for him, and take him mooseback riding almost everyday.
Awesome

I call total BS!
Yee-HAAW, get em' THUNDER..!!! :D
Omg yasss get em' horsey, that literally gave me life, the horse is just like "PISS OFF BRO"
Next time a moose or any other animal comes in your yard , sic thunder on them . Hey there’s a moose on my property. Whistle twice and say , here boy , then say sic em , he’ll run them off . Good boy , now that’s a guard horse .
Can I guess and say that Thunder is either a stallion or proud cut and the lighter colored horse is a mare? Seems like he was guarding his girl
Excellent guard dog you got there😇
NOT IN MY YARD
That horse must have needed to remind those chickens why he's the boss and need to respect him. Nature is so amazing.
You were saved by the Cavalry at 0:34 lol
That moose has a stunning gait when he runs!!! WOW
I’ve seen our horses run deer and turkey out of the pasture
This made me smile. :) I don't think the mare I used to have would have done this, she would have tried to be friends or been terrified. :)
Heart in throat! What a feisty horse!
Didn't know moose could run that fast.
I have never seen this kind of behavior from a horse before now. I am impressed with Thunder. Was thunder the animal making the guttural grunting sounds after the moose were chased away? I have not heard those sounds previously either. Thanks for sharing the video. :)
That horse is fired up. He’s protecting his home.
That is amazing. That horse is still amped up ready for more. One of the coolest things I have ever seen
Guard horse 😂😂😂
Does Thunder roam loose on the property?
Ah ha a guard horse of course lol but wow fasinateing to see the horses reaction to moose
Sir I think the horse saw you and was protecting you thinking you might be in danger. What a wonderful creature.
Damn, that moose can run!
I thought a moose would absolutely demolish a horse with how dangerous they are
What a brave boy, reminds me of my old horse who used to run at the bulls at our farm to defend himself if they came for him
Our bull was in love with my horse. My horse hated him.
There have been some horse videos popping up lately showing horses being pretty dominant. Apparently, they're not scared of bears, bison, alligators and now moose!
He's marking his territory. Good 🐎
That's awesome. A watch horse. Put up a sign moose beware of horse
😅😅😅
Moose to other moose: "Hey, get back over here...that was just a horse."
horse protecting his herd of one. chickens scattering. there's some action shots right there!
Good boy Thunder !!!
God bless your watch-horse.
horse is smarter than a human, knows an aggressive animal when it sees one.
Horse: hi, Schrek what are you doing?
my horse has an elk friend that visits most days, they just stand there and smell one another from head to toe for hours at a time
Moose was like “2 against 1” from the woods lol
the horse is like a watch dog, protecting its territory...
That horse is the Papa bear of the farm, all animals are under his protection.
Dam strange spotted bear was after me! I was lucky to get away!
Am i seriously the only person that by the time the moose got up by the garage was like "yep... and now i would have peed in my pants. Surely at the latest by now." ???
Very funny ! There's kaos in the barnyard. You have a watch horse. He was clearly concerned for his little friend in the corral.
snugbug
It wants to prove it's high horse and protect it's herd from whatever those moose had planned. Heheheh
Male moose can be really dangerous, especially during mating season.
Appropriate name for that horse lol and hes HUGE!
Thunder! Good horse!
Thanks for sharing
I would have thought the opposite. Great security horse.. lol

if "get off my lawn!" was a horse 🐎 🤣
Wow I'm impressed I didn't know a horse would protect it's property like that.
that is one BADASS horse!
Beautiful horse!
Those in the pen are probably mares. When it comes to mares - stay away, the are mine!
1:18 It looks like the horse is telling you, I've got it!
Wow didnt expect that 😶
Momma Moose won't like this horsing around!
He was just horsing around.
That was amazing! Thanks for posting!
What a beautiful place to live!
Yooo That moose can run, I did not think they were that fast..
No one is talking about those chickens running around.
It looks like your attack horse did his job.
Probably this land was moose territory for eons before it became "property".
Prompts to the horse Thunder for protecting his humans and his mares
courage of a spotted horse! what happened to the second moose?
He heard the “thunder “coming and got out of dodge!
Who needs a guard dog when you have Thunder ;)
This is too cool!!
0:39 the chickens be like "oh shit oh shit run awaaay"
Lmao
What a graceful beast.
Lol...Deer , Elk , Moose...they are all aggressive during rut...lol...amd they all can kill a human if they attack you un armed.
