Definitely less ear fatigue I felt with the Totems, just felt bit cooler on the ears even though nice warm sound 👂I think one thing I like about the triangles , could feel the power more. Would be great if Totems add bit more reverb and power maybe a bigger size speaker cabinet . I have the Totem Sttafs and they are nice but need to play more with them (placement or other things) as I miss a louder midrange
I had the Triangle Titus EZ and found the tweeter very refined. Returned it as I still preferred my Dali Opticon overall and I thought the QC/build on the Triangle , at least my set weren't all that great for the retail price, and I got them for a big discount. Would like to try Totem someday. Not made in PRC is a plus, though you pay for it. Prefer speakers made in their home country and own factories.
I have Bright Forward sounding JBLs and Paradigm Titans. I also own warm Yamaha and Mission speakers. The amp and music make a difference which speaker I'll listen to.
Triangle are closer to the wall, bison closer to the central rack, to be fair, you should make shure that the room gives the same for both speakers. Nice demonstration! I owned the model 1 signature and loved them.
That .ostlu depends on tweeter/midwoofer dispersion characteristics and also base output !!. Totem are best if set pointed straight since they have a wide dispersion tweeter with a more subdued sound cpmpared to the hornloaded metal tweeter of the Triangle wich are a more directional (beaming thpe tweeter !
It totally depends on your "ears" as to which sound best. Some people love aspects of one speaker over another totally on their personal taste. You have to listen to both and choose which sound best to YOU. ( Mike can point out aspects of each speaker that out perform the other and teach you how to listen for it). As you can see below, some like Totem and some like Triangle. Which "type" of sound is very individual. Which ice cream is best, Chocolate or vanilla?
I own the Triangle Comete 40th anniversary which when matched with the right amplifier and speaker cables they reward the listener with a superb sound. I love the metal tweeters for their clarity and details which they produce. The Totems impose their sonic character on entire system...too much warmth and tonality regardless to the source amplification.
You are completely wrong about the Totem and misleading those who never listened to those speakers... Ther's No exagerated wormth to the sound at all... The finess, refinement, the holographic effect and the reverb is second to none... Go and listen to then instead of speculating on web...
@@Slim-man1977 is a 55 watt quality amp enough to drive these? Trying out a Van Alstine CA-1 an dlike the results so far. It's not a warm amp but a transparent one. Not really holographic but somewhat places the performers a bit in front of the plane from what I have listened to so far and may be more a function of speakers and source.
Triangle 40th sound great with (Marantz Pm8006/ Intg 50) Also sounds amazing with Denon pma 1700 ! I been threw over 30amps with them ' Trust me !! Thanks for video ! Totems sound best with that amp
Out of these two speakers I would definitely go with the totems . I can't handle a bright forward speaker. I currently have a pair of 705 series 3 as well as a pair a of 705 series 2. Even though the 705 series 3 is a smoother speaker of the series 2 I still prefer the sound of a totem sttaf that my friend let me borrow for a few months. I'm probably going to get something from the totem bison line. I'm hoping you will do a video talking about some of the differences between each bison. I really want the single tower but financially I think I have to settle for the monitor.
The Bison’s are quickly becoming a totem classic. Big improvement in my opinion over the Sky series. I think the best bang for your buck is the Bison Tower. I actually prefer it to the Twin tower!
That’s what I was wondering. If actually the tower sounded better than the twin. I own a rel T5X as well.. not sure if it would be required with either
In this demo I think I prefer the Totems. The Triangle has lots of merit but the mid range with the voice just seemed off. And the Totem seemed to let out some of the space that was lacking in the Triangle sound stage. Both would improve with a sub.
im searching for a bookshelf in the 2000k range im consedering any of these 3 triangle 40.s,martin logan 35xti or new sonus faber sonetto 1 g2 witch is on marked in about 2 weeks, what of these speakers is more room filling my room is medium to big and im adding a sub i will be seated like 3 meters of speaker my roof is v shaped with toons of wood.
Good comparison. Lots and lots of rave about the Triangles. However I found the Totems to had a fuller, wider room filling sound. And that was the first listen via a Microsoft surface book.
Good compare also good triangle 45th anniversary I liked triangle is is so close so 😊 I want to ask what is your model name the audioquest speaker cable I like this voice also thank you so much….
@trucchuong1726 they love power they drop down to 2.5 ohms !!!! You need a strong amp to get that bass potential ' Denon PMA 1700 OMG what a pairing geeez it's blown me away I have had $3k-$4500 Amps that couldn't handle the 40th !
The Triangles gave me the peak to peak details I need, they were more lively as a live performance and when you switch to the Totems so much of the music was missing for me......and I'm the person who wants to compare the Zu's ve Tekton vs Tribe towers vs the Caladan. Thanks & More side by side comparison please.
I own the triangles and they're some of the best speakers I've ever heard. You might want to listen in person. No way in the world the totems beat them
Triangles all day everyday. Anyway staying the totems owns them and is Cleary hating. And hasn't heard them in person. I mean come on. Those are 40th triangles are on another level. Listen in PERSON. Trust me. It's not close imo and they sound nothing like this video
A few more acoustic panels would definitely help, but I didn’t think the Triangles were too bright. They are a very forward speaker, but paired with a nice tune amp, they shine in all the right ways!
Tiriangle hornnloaded tweeter is more relaxed to rooms interactions since they are more directional with there sound because of there norrower dispersion
I have always been a big fan of Totem.
In a test the Triangles are probably more impressive but the Totems are easier to live with long term.
Your comment makes more sense than any other on UA-cam...

In the first 30 seconds. Triangles all the way.

Different flavors is nice. Cleans the palette too so going back to another can be a fresh experience.

Thanks for the info. My system is Marantz with Triangle, great combo.
Can I drive the Totems with a class A Sugden A21? On the Totem website, it says recommended power 30-150 wpc. Thanks!
I think you can drive the Bison Monitors with that amp, it’s Class A so you should be fine

I would go with the Comete’s for your space! Shoot me an email and we can chat more
Love the Totems. What model of SolidSteel stand is it on (SS6 ?)?
SS-5!
Good comparison. Lots and lots of rave about the Triangles. However I found the Totems to had a fuller, wider room filling sound. And that was the first listen via a Microsoft surface book.

totem had a more organic laid back sound. nice.
Bad room for those 🔺️ '
I agree 👍, totally.

Totems... to my ears.
What do you like about them? Just out of curiosity!!

Agreed. Nice to see someone that knows what they're talking about
Good analysis!
Both sound good but I prefer the Totems.
Triangles for my taste, preference.
Totem, much more enjoyable to my ears
Through my so so phone ,the Bisons seemed more nuanced.
I preferred the sound of the Triangles.
Totem easyer to live with on long run
@@christiantessier6599 Why do you say that?
@@christiantessier6599I suppose you had both of them in your system for a week or month ?
love the totem's , not so much the Triangle's
The Totems are phenomenal!
I own the triangles and they're some of the best speakers I've ever heard. You might want to listen in person. No way in the world the totems beat them
totems are the better sound here. Both are great sounding products.
TOTEM ❤❤❤
Totem me gusta mas.

Triangles are trash bro
Nice but not a good a/b - need seemless back and forth and best would be intricate sections played on one then the other over and over.
Maybe add some sound traps in that room. I suspect that the Triangles sounded too bright in that room
Definitely needs some room treatment.I have noticed a lot of Utubers with poorly damped rooms and still expect good results.
Totems win
