In Tomb Raider II: Starring Lara Croft we follow Lara Croft on her second journey to collect the mythical Dagger of Xian artifact near The Great Wall of China.
Join Troye ( tasvideos.org/... ) as they jumps, shoots, flips, solves puzzles but forgoes any time saving glitches within their journey.

0:02 - 0:19 = Pure chills. You never knew how loud your TV was until the startup screen came on and you had to scramble to find the remote so your parents won't hear you trying to stealth play FF7 at 2am. Or in this case Tomb Raider 2, which also happened many times.

Remember those white, yellow and red AUX jacks? The trick I did was unplugging the audio AUX jack before I started the game.
So many nights I stayed up raging at Crash Bandicoot 2, getting lost in Tomb Raider 3 and button mashing in Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Good times.
This was my first Tomb Raider, I can still feel the rage from back in the day when I was trying to master the controls, but even after all these years this is still awesome....I even like the controls now, there's something about the early 3D era that's really special.
This game is the reason I have anxiety.
today's generation will never understand the nostalgia of this game and what it was like to play during its debut.

1:26:25 Home Sweet Home was unexpectedly enjoyable to watch done by a TAS. Lara handled that group of home intruders so efficiently, calmly and ruthlessly.

TR2 Japanese version was generally easier. For example at 03:20 there are no moving blades unlike EU/US versions. Tbh this game was way too hard and frustrating.
Would be nice to see a run utilizing glitches if there are any great ones.

nice to see the "glitchless" TAS - the other one is impressive but this is an easier watch - same as with the human speedruns

I miss this version of lara croft, shes a bit... whiny in the new ones for lack of a better term.
Yeah, this Lara was in complete control, even when she wasn't. She was a badass, not to use that term frivolously.
I swear heroines back in the day were real badasses and were really likeable. Nowadays „heroines“ are only forced into video games, because of „female audience“, like the companies said. It‘s sad, really...
It wouldn't even bee so bad that Lara is more vulnerable now if it weren't for the hack writers insisting that every little thing she does has to revolve around her mommie and daddy. This Lara Croft is a tomb raider because it's what she likes to do. She loves discovering ancient civilizations and loves the thrill of exploring. Now Lara can't even wipe her own ass unless her father left out a roll of toilet paper for her to use.
