His words at the end of this clip were powerful 👏🏽 styles p! The ghost! Money ain't everything! Selling records ain't everything! U can't buy respect! What the lox have in this culture is priceless! Legends! For decades and different Era's
This is what they say after the realized the never would be as big as they expected to be.
@@chewyfox2465 So they didn't also say it bc it's actually the unsugar coated truth? See what I did there & how you unknowingly made yourself look? Stop it
@chewy2465 You're a no money getting lame, The Lox first two albums sold good and went gold, their solo albums are gold and platinum, their singles are gold, they took years to release a 3rd album because of contracts, and were still getting money touring together on big tours, the money generated off the mixtape buzz, doing features with other artists, in commercials with Allen Iverson and Jordan, they been and still do arena shows, they have their own label, and get money off publishing, and they own their own businesses from owning stores, car washes, barber shops, trucking businesses, coffee business and more, get a life
I grew up listening to the LOX mixtapes! Got me through a lot of tough times! Styles flooded the streets wit "ghost and the machine" "Ghost stories" "ghost in the closet" and way more! Salute my guy!!
Maaaaaan you're right not many know about those I have all of them and now we can stream them also well most of them

Im 26, many of y’all may consider me young, but I got an OLD SOUL and I LOVE doing my history and appreciating the music that came before my era. Here’s the thing, this new generation dosent care about going back and doing their research. With the use of streaming platforms, it’s so easy to go back and listen. Every time my friends hear a new song they like that has a sample in it, I’m usually the one to point out where the sample came from, cause nowadays sampling is making a stronger comeback with the mainstream artists of today, which is a GOOD thing because not only are they making new hits with them, but they shining the lights on the artists who they sampled for those who weren’t familiar with them before

FACTS!!!!!!! Growing up in this time was epic! 💯💪🏾 s/o Styles for standing on it!
Respect, power, & money. The key to life! I like how you revisited it
Man... Growing up as a teen in the 90s I really like the LOX. Mase's 24 Hours To Live was my shit. Loved how Jada and Styles rap back-to-back on a verse. Gangster And A Gentleman was one of my fave albums from a solo artist after 2Pac, BIG and Dre. 50 following shortly after. Then the DVD era was heavy in the early 2000's and with the Internet being in everyone's homes, albums weren't being purchased like they used to and people just downloaded the bootleg mp3s. I guess this is where the attention span for things started to get shorter and instead of people listening to songs and albums for about a month and then getting the reviews in the magazines and on TV after people thoroughly listens to the song/album. It's almost instant how something new gets criticized by the masses without even giving things enough time to listen or even comprehend. Because the younger generations want things instantly and not use much brainpower, I think music will get even more retarded with less words being said, more noises to describe their feelings, even less things to talk about since it left off with 2Pac and BIGs blueprint of materialistic things and death. But I understand it's the corporations behind the music that control the narratives and not the rappers themselves. And you can see that negative or incriminating music is more marketed than the conscious and positive music. Understanding the business side of things is why I always tune in. Some crazy insider info if you watch each episode fully. But I don't think people these days can sit still for 5 minutes lol. 😂
"when it comes to this mixtape shit, I should get an award, the best award should be named after me if it's a mixtape award" Ghost in the Shell 💯💯💯💯💯💯
