    I built my own outdoor shower for my house in Maine based on this video. I modified several aspects of the design to fit my purposes including more privacy, larger footprint, free-standing and different hardware. But it's the samearchitecutre and it's gorgous. Thanks for taking the time to share, it was profoundly helpful in my effort.

    nicely done - was very instructive. This video made me realize that one needs both the skills and the machinery & equipment. My husband and I have neither, sadly, and I am very happy to pay someone - and will appreciate the skills that go into even a seemingly simple project!

    Hey there. I really enjoyed this video. I just completed my own freestanding outdoor shower using this concept for my design. I didn’t include a door as we don’t require one for the location of the shower and instead designed a box on the side for a propane water heater. Thrilled with the way it turned out. Thank you.

    I’m about to do one for our block here in Australia. I’ll be making mine out of old fence palings which I’ll stain black. To save some time building a box over the pex piping. You could use black half round guttering. It here are some great videos on expert cutting the folds and angles on YT.

    thanks for the vid! you have some skill! so we can have more vids :) the push stick for your table saw always goes between the blade and the fence. as far as safety is concerned, you're preventing a kickback, which happens when the wood gets wedged between the fence and blade. doing great man! thanks again!

    Overall, looks good. But I have ask if you understand the correct use of a push stick on the table saw. You're supposed to push the workpiece through the fence side to prevent kickback, not on the waste side. Looks like you had enough of a fall off to be safe(ish) in this particular video but wow, that's scary. I wish I could say I've never had a skinny piece get trapped between the blade and fence and become a missile into my stomach ( or worse) but alas, I learned the hard way.

      To cut costs use local materials. IOW, make the walls out of vertical bamboo free-standing between two boards. When they rot just go cut more bamboo and drop them into place. That's how they make an outside shower or fence in Jamaica.

    the walls of an outdoor shower, in a place with beautiful views and surroundings should be no taller than shoulder height. Taking a shower in a cold rain is better with a roof-over. The towel rack should also be rain proofed. For those shy types, use privacy lattice at eye level. In Florida, all my outside showers were a bit larger to allow for more air circulation. Materials should be water resistant as much as possible. Hardie planks, plastic lattice, stone floors, and high gloss paint will reduce mold and mildew. I have rarely showered indoors for many years now. Two shower heads will turn your shower into a spa like experience.

      That is so confusing to me in Australia where everything is so much simpler in metric has been since 1966. The only time that anything is imperial is as a reference to one inch is. "About an inch" other than that it's all decimal/metric eg. 1200x2400 or 1220x2440

    • @OntarioLakeside
      @OntarioLakeside  4 місяці тому +1

      @@TimBoss2000 Canada has a neighbour, you might know them, there REALLY Bossy and they use Imperial. So we have a hard time completely switching! I agree Metric is far superior. We measure distance and speed in Kms when driving but if you goto a building site there are 2 sets of plans, One for the builders and 1 for the architects.
