I just want you to know how helpful and inspiring these videos are. I love to see your life as a graphic designer and your process into making things. I've always wanted to be a graphic designer, and I'm a bit struggling to be self taught not just because of resources but also cause lack of discipline in my part honestly. But seeing your life and all of the cute things you make inspires me to reach that level. I got the bell notification on and I hope you keep posting content !! i love to watch them all!
'new adult' haha. funny. like a new mom, but with adulting. never thought of it that way. i felt SOOO old at 20 but realising as you get older, you do get more comfortable in your own skin. The thing about it is you (everyone) just need to stop fighting it and embrace it (because it literally happens to everyone), and that's quite empowering. you seem like you will do well, with the confidence you already have, so i wouldn't worry! thanks for the great video!
I just graduated from school and am now trying to figure out how I want my daily life to be like. Your videos kinda give me a sense of being more productive around my house and to actually start working on design projects. I'm feeling lost right now but I hope to soon find a sense of direction and to be more involved within the community. Thank you for posting great content!!
wait this video is throwing me for a loop bc I've also been thinking about how life is just a constant fight against entropy, and my hs physics teacher was also my fav (and I'm a list girly too lol) probably random, but I'm really enjoying this watch!
I'm a freshman in art school, exploring a potential career in graphic design. Your videos have been incredibly insightful and inspiring. Please keep making them! 💕
Another entertaining video! I love that you are so curious and open minded now. I remember saying to you as a young child that you should try most things once (of course being sensible about what it is and having good judgement) and if you like it then great and if not then never revisit it again and move on. Life is full of adventures and you just need to go out there and explore and live life to the fullest! Getting out of your comfort zone definitely makes you stronger and helps you grow. So keep exploring and having fun baby girl!
always look forward to your videos! and totally get the, sometimes, overwhelming feeling of there always being things to do. no matter what, you're doing a great job ❤
I graduated design school back in 2019 its literally been 5 years since I have done anything its crazy I wanted to get back into I'm not a internet personality but I wander if I could do something like this and document something about what it looks like starting at your mid 20s guess your never too old to start. Video helped me feel everything will be okay just keep on going :)
Love your video and new to your channel! I feel inspired to keep going😭 I’m three years out of design school and not employed as a designer and this gives me so much hope for the future❤❤❤
Reaaally enjoyed this one. Appreciate the honesty about looking like we have everything together when things are barely working haha. That’s how I feel a lot of the time.. always love your font choices
I had a lot of laughs at the part where you show that you made a deck about yourself for your therapist. Guess why? I've thought about doing that too and I'm trying to work something out. Hahaha omg! Thanks for that, I loved your content. 🥰
if you have the money, highly recommend investing in a herman miller chair. i got one for ~500 off facebook marketplace 3 years ago and have never looked back. that chair is my baby. as a fellow designer, the chair you sit in is so important (to me at least lol) anyway thats my spiel
thank you!!! tbh it's the last part of editing the video for me and probably the fastest part of the process, I usually just have a bunch of fonts in mind I've been wanting to use and choose ones that fit the vibe of the segment! but can definitely try to answer more specific type questions if you have any!
Love this! I’ve been watching designers vlogs to see what it’s like as I am currently working on a degree in graphic design. I have a question for the designers here: It seems difficult to be so creative and always have a satisfied customer, plus the softwares seem confusing. It’s really intimidating but I enjoy it. Does it get easier? Are there actually decent jobs that pay enough to live off as one person? I’ve done research but it’s hard to find specific and reliable answers. I’m only at the beginning so maybe I’m just overwhelmed but if anyone could help with their experience or advice, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for this video!
amazing video!! i'm currently a junior majoring in graphic design in Arizona, california feels like a dream location for design and the works, but how realistic do you think it can be to get there? anything past college is starting to really scare me, and I feel like I don't have a plan to get to where I want to be, do you have any advice for how to make that transition? moving out of the state for a location that is pretty saturated sounds super daunting
since graphic design can be remote (depending on where you work) you don't necessarily have to move here but I think it can be very realistic!! la in particular has a lot of creative studios/hubs (same with the bay area - but more tech focused). I know it can seem kinda scary but if california sounds interesting to you then try job searching in cities that excite you!! I've spent a lot of time in San Jose, San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, and now LA so I can only speak on those cities but I'd encourage you to think about what you value most (walkability, price range, etc.) and where you're trying to work (freelance, agency, in-house) so you can better research it! if something is telling you to move then make the move (change is great)!!!
I'm so glad i found your page 🫶🏾 as an artist i can relate a lot to always feeling like you're behind, but it's nice to know it's more common than you think 😅

your typography skills are so so good. do you have a process when finding text/layout/would you post a video of that process? (i’m struggling) 😅
