Those are monsters of a machine too bad it's the 22 because now they added led lights and a suspension seat plus 39.5 hp fuel injection kawasaki which is what I'm getting this year my 22 bad maverick hd with the 27 hp efi honda is pure trash so can't wait to get a cheetah 2 i got to demo a cheetah 1 and loved it only a 29 hp efi kohler i had more fun and no issues as i do my bad boy so can't wait 😊😊🎉🎉 i had to edit to add for what ur tackling u may have wanted a turf tiger but either way u wont regret it 🍻
The numbers that your setting for height are for reference not necessarily the actual height of cut. Check the actual height of the blades. I have found that 3 is about 2.5 inches height of cut. Good mower.
I have a small farm 15 acers and use my cheetah 2 with Brigs 37 motor 61 deck cuts 5 uneven hills and tree obstacles in 5 hours . first cut was higher than me sitting on seat went moderate pace runs like a dream .
I Cheetah to with vanguard engine makes a screaming noise. I couldn’t hear the engine to compare this song with mine. The music was too loud. Want to know if the screaming sound is normal with the vanguard engine. Never noticed that noise on my cheetah with the Kawasaki engine
Okay so pro tip kinda, I know it will take some more time but whenever you do a first cut at that height you never want to cut it at 3" it's better do it 4"+ if your mower has the capability, even bumping it to 5"+ for the first cut will help you get through it faster and then you can go over it again at 3"
I have owned mine for 2 years now, cut 4 acres but treat my 4 acres the way an old man treats his half acre so it is manicured and I put on the Mulching Kit and love it. being able to go 12 mph when cutting and get a flawless cut before the rain moves in after work some days is great. I used to use a cub cadet and a Kubota tractor with a finishing deck (pull behind) took 2 hours on each I can cut the 4 acres now with the Scag Cheetah II in 1 hour and 30 minutes! It does guzzle some gas but hell I wouldn't change it even with this Biden gas priced economy!
You'll have a healthier lawn if you cut it @ 3.5" or higher. Just because you cut it taller doesn't mean you'll have to cut it more often , that's a common misconception by most.. 3.5" allows the lawn to survive droughts better. I run Kubota but , Scag knows how to design a mower also.
Had you added "overgrown mow" and/or "oddly relaxing" you would have gotten 10x the views 🤣 Perhaps wiggling the rops bar whole pulling the pin, or spraying some penetrating oil on it....oh, it looks like you did wiggle it..... And yeah, trying to mow 2 foot tall grass down to 3 or 4 inches is definitely pushing a finishing mower past what it's made for, so it sounds like good old Scag did a phenomenal job.
I was torn between a zero turn and a sub compact tractor. After much debate I decided on a Massey Ferguson sub compact tractor with a 60 inch mower deck, front loader and backhoe. Main reason I went the tractor was to me it was more versatile because I knew I was going to be doing more than just cutting grass. Nice zero turn by the way! I bet you are getting very excited about getting your property squared away.
I have a diesel powered kubota zero turn...and it cuts beautifully...I haven't been able to get it to bog down yet...test drive a diesel one..you wont regret it...nice video
I ran a Tiger Cat II with the same deck you have all summer at a Corps of Engineers campground... Couple suggestions for you... Definitely get spares of the 2 deck drive belts...they will break eventually and it _will_ occur at an inopportune time. If you don't have an extra set of hands, use a small spring clamp to hold on the belt on the rear drive pully while you are routing it around the various deck/tension pullys..will save you some aggravation. Drop the blade spindles every so often and check them. Mowing around a campground and boat ramp, I was constantly clearing off fishing line that was wrapped up in the blades/spindles. May not be as big of an issue in normal mowing situations, but was a big problem for me. I found running the front deck wheels up on regular auto ramps was the easiest way to get the clearance needed to remove the blades. I think most landscaping guys can run it up on the back trailer ramps to get enough clearance... I ran it over way too many rocks, tree roots, etc. Thing was pretty much bullet proof.
Enjoy the mow! My Scag Tiger Cat 2 brought back the joy of mowing. Still a chore but it's less work then using a tractor style mower, turning around at the end of long runs and trimming, for less work. Stay Safe
I had the same problem with my rops pin on my Cheetah 2.. I wonder why they get stuck in there like that. Ironically it was just one that did it so it may be a common problem.
Or take it off for flat ground. The chances of rolling that thing with it's low center of gravity on flat ground would take a very special person who probably needs to leave the gene pool anyway.
The fitment on the pin is to eliminate rattles. There is a sort of spring steel on the front portion of lower rops to apply pressure to the pin while installed, hence no rattles
Well done, some of the grass was on the tall side. Thanks for the ride along, it was fun for the viewer and gave us a good view of what you were up agss against. I think the umbrella might have made contact with some of the tree limbs if you had it installed a large hat might be a better opinion for you when your mowing around the trees. 😊👍👍👍
Looks good! That mower did a fantastic job. That many acres demands a commercial mower, your right, a residential mower would be toast trying to mow that much and with the gopher holes it’s running gear would break.
@@BTBRVReviews I’m sure you will when it’s not 2 feet tall. You have the best machine to do it. That mower will get it looking like a ball field if you want it to.
With the number of trees on that property, you would not have been happy with a tractor style mower. Would also be difficult to bushhog due to the trees and low limbs. I have Kawasaki on two of my mowers and have been thoroughly pleased with them. I was impressed that you were mowing that high of a grass with only one pass.
Would make your life easier if there is a local rancher looking for grass for cattle feed, turn that tallest grass into hay. Yes, commercial grade lawn equipment for heavier use and long term ownership.
Just be aware a commercial mower is NOT a bush hog. Going through grass that height over and over will begin to wear out your pulleys faster than you’d like. I’m assuming you won’t let it get that high every time before a cut but just letting you know. I couldn’t tell you how many people think my commercial mowers are designed to mow a hay field. They are designed to mow big properties fast not cut hayfields.
Just take the whole rops system off all it does is add weight and is garbage unless your mowing on pretty steep inclines you will never ever flip that thing I’ve been mowing 20 years commercially over 40 houses a day and only 1 time ever came close to a roll over was when a ditch collapsed under my wheel and the machine slid into the ditch. Didn’t have a rops then don’t now.
Cool Zero Turn 😎

That Is grass cutting 101. ALWAYS cut grass at max height of mower then drop the mower deck to the height ya prefer.
Was thinking the same thing. No hate or anything, just a piece of advice. 3” is way too low for first cut
I had visions of Mario Kart while you were riding that thing. LMAO

Wow, is that some high snake hiding grass! Make sure you have your anti snake bite boots on! Great mower! Thank you for sharing and be safe.
You know what Mower Decks need, String Trimmer Edgers at the front corners to get close to the trees

I changed the title just for you brother. :)

I use a bungee to keep the plastic chute up. Helps spread the clippings more. And helps prevent bogging.

I have the Kubota ZD1211 diesel zero turn. Mow 5 acres weekly with it here in SE Texas. Won’t ever go back to gas again after having this diesel.

I love my scag as well! I’m glad you’re enjoying yours! I will definitely consider getting the bigger motor next time.

Exactly brother.
I had the same problem with my rops pin on my Cheetah 2.. I wonder why they get stuck in there like that. Ironically it was just one that did it so it may be a common problem.
I carry a battery powered blower to keep my mower deck cleared off and the tractor radiator clean.
Nice boots.
Truck, trailer & mower = $100.000.00 to mow your grass or $210.00 for 2 cows to eat the grass. then you eat the cows. I love Beef and trucks
Cows make it patchy :)
@@BTBRVReviews goats are the way to go my friend has goats and he doesn't even own a mower
Great mower I have the same one it will bog in tall wet grass but it cuts so good 😏
Push the ROPS forward or backwards and pull the pin. I had that same problem. The pin is binding because the holes don’t line up.

One way to minimize the bumps a little is to lower the air pressure in the rear tires a bit. That will help to soften the ride.

Not on this run brother

Not much more fun than operating a commercial zero turn. Super nice unit.

Should’ve got a John Deere
Maybe...
Like wow JD has legs lol 😂

awesome machine!
Gonna need a tractor too. The big Toro I’ve seen are 150K$. Use a blower to blow the grass out near the pulleys and belts.

Yes sir
Big red truck.....lawn mowing.....in texas.......
What's next? Selling propane??
King of the hill indeed....
Get a battery powered Stihl leaf blower and you can blow that grass off your mower and deck in less than a minute.
Now go clean it!
Lol for 13k it should be good
