George's comedy spanned the entire spectrum of humor as he often delved into street-humor as well as the intellectual and political. He pointed out the comical, and sometimes tragic, absurdity of every aspect of the human condition. Upon his death, he left a void that NO ONE can fill.
I'm glad to learn that you love George Carlin. He is definitely a legend and was very popular with my generation. I'm 75 now, and it was just as funny today as it was way back then.
George Carlin is a man who has been famous for more than fifty years, a man who made tens of thousands of "good points." I hope you will not just view this clip but will go on to investigate George Carlin for his wit, his wisdom, and his mastery of language. I wish he were alive today. We need people like George.

He is an absolute legend. He shaped a generation of free thinkers through HBO specials and social commentary. Even years later, most of his observations hold up. It wasn't suited to just one era...it covers human behavior across centuries.
I once met and talked with him backstage at a theatre at which we were both performing. We talked for about 5 minutes, and he was one of the most gracious, kind and friendly souls I've met.
George Carlin's "Seven Dirty Words" routine led to a US Supreme Court ruling in the case of FCC v. Pacifica Foundation. After that, broadcasters used the words to remind entertainers what they cannot say on live television broadcasts. The routine is one the funniest things ever heard, in a list of highly entertaining and extremely funny observations from Mr. Carlin. He was the best as far as I am concerned and I truly loved comedy...especially before the PC police jumped on it.
Listen to the original routine from the Class Clown album, in 1972. He made several updates in the following decade, but the original is a masterpiece of language commentary. By the way, Carlin was arrested in the early 70's for his live performance, so he had a particular interest in the topic.

George Carlin taught me to question the fumb duckery that I was happily going along with as a kid and all the future shenanigans I’d encounter as I got older. I miss him. RIP George.
When I first listened to George Carlin as a teenager, I thought of him as grasping at straws but still okay. Little did I know how relevant his material would become a decade after his death. During the summer of 2020, I was thinking to myself, "if only George Carlin could still be around to see all of this. That would be a great show."

He also had a short-lived sit-com, "The George Carlin Show." I think it only lasted half a season, but what I remember most is that the final episode had a "preview" of the next episode, which didn't actually exist, with just a bunch of clips of stock wedding-episode jokes.

George Carlin was great. He liked to point out the stupid things we all do in a funny way, but most of all he loved to bust the balls of people in power, especially politicians and religions. (He was brought up Catholic and often went after the Church in his routines.)

Diane, George Carlin is my favorite comedian of all time. He is one of the most influential comedians and social critics of the last half of the 20th century. His masterful use of the English language is unparalleled. This isn't even close to his best stuff. A lot of his early work set up legal precedents about obscenity. He's an old time comedian from the 1960s and 1970s especially. You should look up his bit regarding the "The 7 dirty words you can't say on (American) TV."
I was SOOOO lucky to have been able to have seen him live before he died. I fell in love with man back in the day, and luckily my parents were huge fan as of his too... I was prolly the youngest person in the theatre at, like 14. Such a brilliant man! Keep watching more of his stuff! ❤️❤️❤️
GC was a great person, an intellectual who wanted good in the world. Not the ordinary, superficial, phony, shallow. He had unique way of expressing all that and more, most definitely non violent. He was outrageous to grab your attention and make a point. He often went to the extreme to create a distinct perspective, always to get folks to think, possibly reconsider, and of course laugh. Bill Hicks was a genius in a similar vein, though he took in your face obnoxiousness to a different universe. Always to make a point. Brilliant man with the best of intentions for humanity, though his humor is very likely not for everyone. Miss him. Enjoying your videos! George Carlin was one of the greatest comics in America. Don’t let him intimidate you. He will educate you to the truth of America. One of the nicest guys you’ll ever shake hands with.👍🤪
I always loved George Carlin... he had no "sacred cows", sooner or later, he's going to rip on everyone. And as in all of the best comedy, it's rooted in a seed of truth even when he's reaching for the absurd extremities to illustrate it. I really miss him.
I saw George Carlin on tour in 2000. He's definitely a legend, but it was interesting that, toward the end of his performance, he pulled out some notes, and said he wanted to try a new rant on us. He explained that he'd noticed that these tirades seemed to be really popular, so he was perfecting a new one, but used notes because he hadn't completely memorized it yet. Some of his attitude is just for the act. If you look at his earlier stuff, you'll see he started out looking at things in more of an unusual way (i.e., why do you park in a driveway, but drive on a parkway?). One of my favorites was his Place for My Stuff bit (ua-cam.com/video/JLoge6QzcGY/v-deo.html). You might also look for his Seven Words You Can't Say on Television, or Seven Dirty Words.
George was an legend of America's comedy. I consider his the GOAT of humor. His bits are rough & harsh at times.....!!! But they are based on the TRUTH... George was a very smart man.
George was in a movie called "Dogma" with singer Alanis Morrissette, among others, that attempts to rip on religion. It was funny. I believe his character was "The Voice of God".
Sadly, comedy in the US has been destroyed, and today George Carlin would be cancelled. He was a genius at cultural observation, and an equal-opportunity insulter.
Well, I'm glad I made the "no-kill" list. :-D Are those new headphones or have I not been paying attention? Red Skelton is a comedian who did not use curse words if you're interested. His stuff is older, but I like it a lot. And I think George meant to say fundamentalist conservative Christians, or at least I hope so. I would consider myself a conservative Christian, and I don't think I cause problems. But maybe I'm wrong.
Thanks for filling us in on George Carlin. Who has been wildly popular, primarily as a standup comic, at least in the US (a big, English speaking country in the Western Hemisphere with cable TV and internet), for at least 40 years. He died in 2008.
George Carlin is one of the greats. He doesn't pull any punches. I wish he was still alive, would love to hear him on current happenings. I own several of of his albums and a number of his videos. I only got to see him in concert once. Was going to try to see him again with my niece, but a month later he died. He also has some books and have read them.
George was king of the comedy game back in his day. He really came into it with his audience in the 80’s-2000. It was intellectual comedy, but he put it out there. We were able to laugh at much more back then. I really miss having that freedom to have fun and not take things so seriously.
What made his comedy so iconic is he took what most people thought of American society as a whole broke it down into certain groups and commented with a varying degree of exaggeration depending on the group. To me his best was the seven words you can’t say on television later he revised the list and it was great also
IMHO Grorge Carlin is 1 of The All Time Great Comedians! Luckily I was the youngest of 8. So I would hide & listen to the comedy albums/records! Grew up listening to him! Love him! He’s BRILLIANT! 🤣😆😂❤️

One of my favorites was his Place for My Stuff bit (ua-cam.com/video/JLoge6QzcGY/v-deo.html). You might also look for his Seven Words You Can't Say on Television, or Seven Dirty Words.
My father was his driver in Milwaukee at Summerfest when he uttered those "seven deadly words" and was subsequently arrested by the Milwaukee Police.
He was the bishop promoting the "buddy Jesus" scam.
11:00 Her Muscle Memory Kicked in when she heard that line.. Ofc i'm joking am i now? ;)
Sadly, comedy in the US has been destroyed, and today George Carlin would be cancelled. He was a genius at cultural observation, and an equal-opportunity insulter.
really real true talk
Well, I'm glad I made the "no-kill" list. :-D Are those new headphones or have I not been paying attention?
Red Skelton is a comedian who did not use curse words if you're interested. His stuff is older, but I like it a lot.
And I think George meant to say fundamentalist conservative Christians, or at least I hope so. I would consider myself a conservative Christian, and I don't think I cause problems. But maybe I'm wrong.
The Sage of our Age. A master of the language and so much more than just a Comedian. Not to downplay Comedians.
Loved George, but you gotta be in the right mind set when you watch him. RIP sir.
George Carlin is a legend! He is my favorite comedian of all time.
He was a comedy genius who was on top of his game for a long, long time. Hope you react to more.
I say this on all his videos:
George Carlin is the greatest stand up philosopher ever!
George was king of the comedy game back in his day. He really came into it with his audience in the 80’s-2000. It was intellectual comedy, but he put it out there. We were able to laugh at much more back then. I really miss having that freedom to have fun and not take things so seriously.
He is one of the best. If not the best.
One of the greatest philosophers of the 20th century.
ps. Love the red hair.
Heard him live when I was in High school- oh dear, I was laughing so hard through out the whole time. Miss him, he's a legend for his humour.
I'm delighted you've discovered a great comedian I've grown up with since high school. You have about 40 years of golden comedy to go through. Enjoy!
George Carlin RIP. One of the best comedians EVER.
George was great! You need to hear more of him!
Thank God for George! He was like that so I don't have to be! 🤣
I still find it amazing when someone says they havn't heard of one of the greatest stand up comedians of all time.
What made his comedy so iconic is he took what most people thought of American society as a whole broke it down into certain groups and commented with a varying degree of exaggeration depending on the group. To me his best was the seven words you can’t say on television later he revised the list and it was great also
Being from Ireland, you really need to check out "Religion is Bullshit" by George. It's really hard to argue with his logic.
I miss George Carlin,,RIP you genius philosopher...Love from Sweden .🇸🇪🇸🇪🙏😇❤️❤️👌❤️🐐🐐🐐🐐🙃😁.
IMHO Grorge Carlin is 1 of The All Time Great Comedians! Luckily I was the youngest of 8. So I would hide & listen to the comedy albums/records! Grew up listening to him! Love him! He’s BRILLIANT! 🤣😆😂❤️
He was a beautiful guy that always spoke the truth we will miss him!!!!!!
GEORGE Carlin is a GOD. Philosopher and genius comedy, loved the English language, he was a purist. start at the beginning with 7 dirty words, My Stuff and move forward. My fave is Airlines and Announcements 😂 he basically holds a mirror up to society with brilliant comedy.
"You're lovely and beautiful and I can't wait till we have a dead baby together." Original joke but inspired by Carlin. Good reaction malady!
George Carlin was a Master at his craft. He was always an Intellectual Comedian.
The George Carlin Show of the 90s was fantastic. We got it here in NZ and I was hooked on George immediately. I think it only ran for a season maybe 2 but it was great.
Carlin was a legend. The Seven Words You Can't Say On Television was genius.
Loved your sudden appreciation of Carlin !!! Welcome to the club LOL!! Your vid was super !! I often wondered what younger people might think of him... nice to see that Funny is Funny :)
I first heard him when I was 11. I damn near peed myself. I almost forgot how to breathe I was laughing so hard.
Richard Pryor, George Carlin and Red Foxx are 3 of the greatest, most legendary comedias of all-time!! They are world-famous! I'm very surprised you never heard of him! The man is a legend!
George Carlins I from the 70’s so this makes more sense to people my age. I am 62 years old
Hi DJ! Just a couple of quick Production notes:
1) Your Lighting is STUNNING! Don't change a thing.
2) Your Audio settings are AWESOME! Don't change a thing.
3) It's actually good that you start the segment with your headphones "On".
4) Black is too Dark for you.
5) George Carlin died before you were born. No reason you should know him.
Keep up the good work! Love your Channel..
