I love the implication that Irys as hope guides people to where they would excel and be happy in life, seeing her appear for a second just to catch Gura's attention towards the Hololive poster before disappearing was so cool.

Glad to see her gills depicted on the sides of her chest. They rarely get mentioned and have been absent from so many artworks... I think they are a stroke of genius and wrap up the concept and lore nicely.

I appreciate that this is like a silent film in that it has no dialogue very fitting for a production intended for an international audience The animation itself was very cute as well
There's only one thing I would change: the ending. After Gura pushes the button to start streaming and the video goes to black... play her debut "ah" sound. Then roll the credits.

it was trending you just missed it. this animation was at the beginning of gura's live 3D concert and then uploaded to youtube as a premiere shortly after the end of the concert so talk about it was bundled in with talk of her 3D Live

I just realized that Gura showing up naked on the beach is actually super accurate to her lore since she told that story about how when she first got her model it glitched out and became naked next to the other myth members.

I seriously cannot get over how incredible this is! The animation quality, the music, the sounds, the cute gooba screams, the retelling of her origin story, it's just so perfect! This is probably my favourite thing to come out of Hololive so far!!
I love the series, i especially like that one Arc where Yagoo had to recreate the universe 1000 times to achieve his dream but failed in the end , it was Manga accurate, the animation was heavenly, and George's Adventures was always exciting. 10/10 can't wait for the next season
The little sounds she makes make me want her to do VA work on anime now, its unironically one of the harder parts to get right and she does its so perfectly that I think she would nail the rest of it aswell.

This was cute as hecc. I find it interesting that the red persona is like almost a defense mechanism to protect against danger when she thought the mannequins were after her. But man, this whole thing was just so adorable. Love ya goomb
I wonder how much it cost to hire a whole studio to make something this good. Definitely more than a 30k just by going off internet 2D professional animation ratings. It's probably a lot more considering how much people were involved.
Man, watching her Debut i never would have guessed how popular of a Vtuber she’d become. I mean, I always thought I was a nerd for liking what I liked and that not nearly this many would have the same interests. Pretty happy to have been proven wrong.
I know people meme about dumb shork, but I've always admired how incredibly good she is at being an entertainer. Really quick wits, great at playing into situational comedy etc. Also with this whole "biggest vtuber" thing, I feel like it couldn't have gone to a better person. She has such a heart of gold, so humble, still so down to earth... none of this has "gone to her head".
They just couldn't have found a better way to drop Gura Lore even showing how she got her iconic hoodie than by making this 11/10 animation straight of the highest quality anime. A big applause to Gura and all that maked this masterpiece possible! This was perfect for her first 3D concert. o7
I never expected to see such amazing animation at the start of a live, and it was jam packed with so much lore and past references. It made all the time spent watching you and Hololive all the more worth it! Thank you, Gura!

@@claranoelledances I mean, there's no reason it can't be both reasons. Just look lightsaber duels in Star Wars. There's both a lore and practical reason why prequel trilogy duels have a lot more choreography and action than original trilogy duels.
This is a hell of a proof of concept for a Myth anime. A group of streamers that get into action-adventure shenanigans, with guest appearances by various other hololive members from other gens and branches, including IRyS as a mysterious presence that whispers things and influences the gals in Myth, and each one of them thinks she's the only one that hears her. I would watch the hell out of that.

This is a hell of a proof of concept for a Myth anime. A group of streamers that get into action-adventure shenanigans, with guest appearances by various other hololive members from other gens and branches, including IRyS as a mysterious presence that whispers things and influences the gals in Myth, and each one of them thinks she's the only one that hears her. I would watch the hell out of that.
I'm pretty sure Ame would know, or at least strongly suspect, that the others were all guided into position by IRyS too. She's a detective, after all.
When you said you wanted an animation I expected something short, cute and funny but this is beyond all of my expectations. It's perfect!
