I know 😭😭 and I'll be forever grateful! I used many of the techniques he taught me for redoing the tank. I love the new set up though and felt it was time for a change 😁 Hopefully you will like it too!
He did, and I'm forever grateful for his amazing work! To make the change was a very well thought out decision over many months. But I'm glad I got to enjoy the river tank while I did and am looking forward to the new beginnings, and I hope others will enjoy it too 😊
Poor Jason!!! Can't wait for the video of the rebuild and reasoning for the change!! Are you keeping the new set-up on the Sump/ did you have to make any changes to the Sump for the new fish?
I LOVED it but I never ended up enjoying the rainbow fish as much as I thought, so I decided I wanted to try Tanganyikan cichlids. It's been a well thought out/long decision that I've been sharing on Instagram mostly, but it is probably more of a surprise to most of my audience on UA-cam 😊
Hello Kaity from Canada, I enjoyed watching your videos including this one, and I'm looking forward on your next video about your new tank set up and new fishes. It's going to turn out great!
Your new yellow tail Tanzanian acei will get big trust me! I had 3 of them. Couldn't find them for about 3yrs? Now they seem to be everywhere. Ive got 2 white tails that are about 15cm long as well. My yellows eventually died from age.
LFS videos are my favorite! Love seeing how different stores are set up and seeing new types of fish. I also appreciate when stores have display tanks and not just holding tanks! Great video‼️
Those tropheus are gonna be show stoppers when fully grown, just be very careful of their diet though, tropheus can go downhill very quickly. As for the yellow fin acei, I have 11 now with my other mbuna's and I think it's time to stop now haha!
Hahaha, that's so funny you have so many of the yellow fin Aceis!! 🤣 I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks they're adorable. And I really hope the Tropheus will go well! I'm feeding them Thera A and bug bites at the moment and all good so far. Hopefully they'll stay nice and healthy 🙌
Hi Kaity, I enjoyed the video, the tanganika fishes are gorgeous especially the canary yellow one. I can't wait to see the new setup. I'm sure it'll be amazing and interesting to see especially the process. Greetings and thank you for being so incredible😊!!!!
Love the new cichlids and the peek at the new setup 😊 very exciting! All go in my fish room, got 21 baby electric yellows and 31 baby bristlenose in the last week 😮😍
Thank you, yes, I hope to see those inhabitants of Tanganyika evolve and go. I have a little Tanganyika. I seem to remember that you are from Australia so I see you from the other side of the world 😃, on the shores of the Mediterranean. Thank you very much for your videos, you are great. 😊
Very nice Kaity !!! Ventralis & Furcifers are so hard to find in my area...such a nice fish. I had a bad experience mixing Tropheus with other Tangy's but we'll see. You have a really nice selection, you just need a Frontosa to top it off.
Thank you Tommy!! They are such beautiful fish 😍 Yes we'll have to see. I've got my fingers crossed they'll do ok because I love the Tropheus so much 🤞
What do you think about shubunkin? The middle fish between koi and goldfish. I had 14 in a 1500L pond and they are so cool moving up and down the steam and pond sections…
Hello Kaity! Such a funny, happy, nice video! Lovely fish and a great aquafishstore! But dont you need - at least - two more fishtanks?!? Thank you, have a nice day/Mats in Sweden
It depends! I have a quarantine tank, but my rainbow fish are in there at the moment. So in this case because the fish had been in Atlas and healthy for a few weeks I took the risk. But it's generally recommended to quarantine them first just in case
I've been giving them the New Life Spectrum ones and sinking most of them for them and they've been ok so far thankfully! I will definitely be careful though and keep an eye out for it. Thank you 🙏
I would hope not, because I don't see it as a waste at all! I learnt SO much from it and had so many amazing experiences from my journey with that tank. But for me it's time for a change and I'm really excited for it!
I was so hoping you would grap a fw of the Frontosa's. They are my favorite. But, your new additions will work just fine as they grow. I think it's time for a 10' tank. 🤩🤩
you're tearing down the river tank? nooooooo Jason did such an amazing job on that river scape such a good looking natural tank😢
I know 😭😭 and I'll be forever grateful! I used many of the techniques he taught me for redoing the tank. I love the new set up though and felt it was time for a change 😁 Hopefully you will like it too!
I just lost my yellow tail acei 😩 he jumped out
Jason did such an amazing job on your river tank .... All his hard work for you gone
He did, and I'm forever grateful for his amazing work! To make the change was a very well thought out decision over many months. But I'm glad I got to enjoy the river tank while I did and am looking forward to the new beginnings, and I hope others will enjoy it too 😊
Marina whats your secret to happiness? Youre bursting with laughter and joy, and i can see ots genuine.
Poor Jason!!!
Can't wait for the video of the rebuild and reasoning for the change!!
Are you keeping the new set-up on the Sump/ did you have to make any changes to the Sump for the new fish?
It'll be on the sump still!! But I just uploaded a bunch of crushed coral to it to help buffer to pH 😊
Amazing beautiful looking Cichlids! great tank setups your scaping is incredible!!!!
So exciting, can't wait for the Tanganyika tank updates. What a Fun episode.

It sure is 😁😁

I love this casual style of video you do Katie.
Sehr schöner Zooladen (imposantes Pflanzenbecken!) mit einer sehr sympathischen Angestellten! 😃
Why did you take down the river tank?
I LOVED it but I never ended up enjoying the rainbow fish as much as I thought, so I decided I wanted to try Tanganyikan cichlids. It's been a well thought out/long decision that I've been sharing on Instagram mostly, but it is probably more of a surprise to most of my audience on UA-cam 😊

Such beautiful fishes like their owner❤❤❤
So where are your rainbows now ? In a third but smaller tank somewhere?
Yes that's right! They're in my quarantine tank in the garage, but I'll be giving them away soon 😊
You should definitely set up a fancy goldfish tank with each variety

🎉🎉 I can't wait 😁
Will you consider salt water I think you would be great at it ?
I've kept some small ones a couple of times before but never got too into it. I think if I did it would be fish only and no corals. Maybe one day 🤔
@@Kaityscichlids wow thx for the reply
Hi Kaity, very entertaining Vlog, you ladies are funny!! thanks for sharing :)

What do you think about shubunkin? The middle fish between koi and goldfish. I had 14 in a 1500L pond and they are so cool moving up and down the steam and pond sections…
I love them! I think they are really cute fish
African cichlids come from many lakes and rivers in Africa.
These guys are the rift lake African Cichlids! They're only endemic to the 3 lakes in Africa
2:56 and there are much more rift lakes in Africa with cichlids en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rift_Valley_lakes
Hello Kaity! Such a funny, happy, nice video! Lovely fish and a great aquafishstore! But dont you need - at least - two more fishtanks?!? Thank you, have a nice day/Mats in Sweden
Thank you Mats!! Hahaha, I think you're right 🤣 You can never have enough tanks lol. Maybe when I get my own place I will get some more
you dont quarantine new fish?

Hey Kaity, the Atlas aquarium is incredible, can you confirm if that big fern has its roots in the water?
Cheers 👌
Hey Elliot! I'm 99% sure it does, but maybe Finn or Marina can answer that for certain 🤔
