This reminds me of climbing the Tourmalet at the end of the 2010 L'Etape du Tour ...the silence was deafening! BTW, glad to see you weren't actually on a Brompton!
Well the guys at the front had the GOOD weather then - that road is dry - wen I got up there it as somewhere between a stream and a river.... good I needed the warmth and a hot chocolate in the café a the top AND in the village at the bottom!
