I think why we like Genshin Impact better is because they seem more like in the middle ages ish while Tof is more sci-fi and genshin is more like an anime type I guess but I don't know maybe it's because I just don't really like scifi
Usually with SciFi settings, it’s a lot more difficult to come up with more distinct environments and character design. As far as architecture goes, most sci-fi buildings look the same, whereas Genshin Impact older setting allows it to take inspiration of different countries buildings and etc. Same thing with characters, tech related character design usually falls kinda short.
It seems that GI's developers put much more effort in the in-game aesthetics. for example, the terrain. in GI wherever you see, the textures and parallax maps are adaptively trimmed to fit the 3D model of ground and cliffs. So GI's environment looks pleasantly coherent and natural, while ToF is a little bit inferior in this criterion. But ToF is in beta rn, still has chances to get better.
In my opinion, TOF graphic style lacks identity and charm that GI has. If you're talking about graphics i can recognize GI from a single glance cz it has the unique aesthetic artstyle, whereas TOF from what I've seen is following the way any mmorpg would look like. bland dirt, dark atmosphere, shiny and over the top skills.
That's not gonna happen trust me that's the thing with mobile games like this they have nice/decent graphics but when you play the finished product of the game it's just loaded with pay to win nonsense crappy autoplay and very wonky animations these the type of things that turn me away from these mobile rpg games

Show me at least one game on such level, as genshin. it's a FREE game, being way upon its time, and yet doesn't insist on donation system. Unlike some fricking raid-shadow-legens or other 87% mobile games with all-the-same cliche story, nobody cares about, you get a great experience with this huge open interactive world, dynamic cutscenes, interesting stories with loveable characters, battle mechanics, great optimization...and all the content is open and free, and you can complete it ( 45lvl for now, because yes, Mihoyo is not a Nintendo, it can't afford itself to complete whole game at once, without getting cashback from players. The game is not just 45lvl, stop saying that, it's stupid.) without a problems. 40+ game is challenging, but not problematic. You can play without a single 5*, because game doesn't have overpowered chars. Every char can become a beast of dps. Even to f2p. Build is the key. (Yea, we all want that 5* but c'mon, game is 100% playble without it.) Other free games (especially on mobile) won't allow you this. Now you can see how Tower of fantasy is trying to copy every single step of genshin. And the main word is "trying". On the first sight it may seems on similar level, buut no. The reason I was drawn towards Genshin is how the world and coloring was well put together, it is easy in the eyes, movements and physics are good, as I don't really like dark environments, so really Genhsin destroyed all possibilities of mine to play games similar to it...and will compare other related games to it...

I feel myself getting more and more bored of Genshin because of the resin system and how tedious and time consuming it is to upgrade your character level, adventure rank & materials. Co-op could also be better. So I’m looking forward to playing Tower of Fantasy. It looks cool so far and I love how you can customize your character.
I just hope that there will be Character customisation in ToF. Being able to increase sizes of certain *cough* things *cough* for example. What can I say? I just love those things
few reasons why i want ToF to beat genshin when it releases is because it’s an actual mmo not limited to 4 person coop. That and one’s own custom character is just so much more satisfying than premade ones
I am willing to try the new game since I got no life outside of my room. I hope they kinda fix the running animation, idle animation, have it kinda blend but not too much that it'll be a strain to my already damaged eyes because the colours or contrast is a bit off to me. This is the most clear cut case of the "Can I copy your homework" meme I've ever seen in videogames, and I've been around for every shitshow of a self titled "wow killer" clone.
Official Release Vs Beta Both are on multiple devices however, Genshin Impact is available on The PS4 with a Switch date coming along the way. The other game has a futuristic setting which is a plus. Both games require constant internet connection Both are inspired by BotW. One is an MMORPG while the other is an Action RPG. That's all I can think of right now. I'm gonna go with Genshin Impact: it's the one with a Global Release plus English Release. It's also on PS4, hopefully they'll fix that version in the future. My opinion may change it f the other one gets a Global Release but I don't know if it will unfortunately.
I’ve played a lot of MMORPG games in the past, but when I started playing genshin, I like how it’s creative with puzzles and the storyline is full of mysteries. Although genshin is getting a bit boring now haha, but I’m sure the inazuma update will motivate me again :)

I think we should recognize the flaws Tower of Fantasy has on its own so it can grow a name for itself instead of being compared to Genshin. GI had the same problem being compared to BotW

Yeah, didn't notice when the beginning cinematic ended and when the game began, that good.
The reason I was drawn towards Genshin is how the world and coloring was well put together, it is easy in the eyes, movements and physics are good, as I don't really like dark environments, so really Genhsin destroyed all possibilities of mine to play games similar to it...and will compare other related games to it...
I knew Genshin colors were pretty saturated, but I really see to what extend when looking at ToF colors

If anyone is wondering why Genshin Impact is such an amazing mobile game is because it was originally intended to be a pc game but also compatible with other devices
Not really it was first made for both mobile and pc then it made its way to consoles, that's why the game is running in the unity engine, and the game was first announced for mobile and pc

I feel myself getting more and more bored of Genshin because of the resin system and how tedious and time consuming it is to upgrade your character level, adventure rank & materials. Co-op could also be better. So I’m looking forward to playing Tower of Fantasy. It looks cool so far and I love how you can customize your character.

few reasons why i want ToF to beat genshin when it releases is because it’s an actual mmo not limited to 4 person coop. That and one’s own custom character is just so much more satisfying than premade ones
I am willing to try the new game since I got no life outside of my room. I hope they kinda fix the running animation, idle animation, have it kinda blend but not too much that it'll be a strain to my already damaged eyes because the colours or contrast is a bit off to me. Uhm, if that didn't make sense, like, the cliffs in the game is a bit.. I dunno the word. But this is still in their developing stage, no? 😊

What sets me off to play a new RPG is the story. I did not feel that spark I had with Genshin Impact in ToF

Official Release Vs Beta
Both are on multiple devices however, Genshin Impact is available on The PS4 with a Switch date coming along the way.
The other game has a futuristic setting which is a plus.
Both games require constant internet connection
Both are inspired by BotW.
One is an MMORPG while the other is an Action RPG.
That's all I can think of right now.
I'm gonna go with Genshin Impact: it's the one with a Global Release plus English Release. It's also on PS4, hopefully they'll fix that version in the future.
My opinion may change it f the other one gets a Global Release but I don't know if it will unfortunately.

Apart from that cool jacket outfit in a cool female character, nothing from TOF that can beat Genshin Impact at the moment.
I’ve played a lot of MMORPG games in the past, but when I started playing genshin, I like how it’s creative with puzzles and the storyline is full of mysteries. Although genshin is getting a bit boring now haha, but I’m sure the inazuma update will motivate me again :)
And maybe I like medieval more, for sci-fi I think I’ve only liked dragon raja bec graphics is everything

Just because they are different genres, it doesn't automatically make them immune to comparison. You can see the obvious inspiration here. Just like how GI drew ideas from BotW, ToF drew ideas from GI. There is no way this wasn't made as a response to GI's success.
