When I was there, I screamed when I first heard the instrumental to Die For You because it's my favorite song by them. That song will always be for my niece and I
Absolutely gutted they didn't make it out to Idaho or Utah. Here's to Summer 2022. I'd love to catch one of their shows live. Honestly one of the three I actually want to go see.
The audio is very different up there, I was down on the stage right by the right speakers. Thank you for recording as this was my first concert, I get to see it now whenever!
I only captured small clips here and there. This is awesome! Another great experience with Starset in Houston. It was my 3rd demonstration and will not be my last. Thanks for posting this. 😎🔥❤️
@@envoo well I’m grateful because now I can re-live the whole thing too. 😝😎 Around 42:04 you can hear me scream, “Let’s go drum abuse!”. I was yelling at the drummer Adam. He’s pretty amazing.
My poor canadian self seeing they don't have any shows planned near my region for 2022. Man, I cannot wait to see these guys live and sing along to every goddamn song they throw at us. I'm not a concert guy, I hate going to concerts, but I would jump in any day for starset.
I was at this show! Omg! I flew in from Oregon for it. And you got the whole thing? I'm gonna have to watch this later when I'm not at work to relive everything, and also get another perspective. For all but one of my Starset demos, I've always been right on the barricade. (I uploaded my video of "Infected" from Houston and plan to do more in the near future.) Thanks for this!
@@envoo I live in Colorado, we didn't have any dates here plus I just had a baby so I would have missed it anyway, I'm in the Messengers FB group and have only seen 30 second clips, it was nice to finally see the whole show in its entirety
Wish I could find the All Good Things part live, but it looks like no one recorded them. But at least I'll always have this to remind me of my first ever concert
Idk why but for some reason I don't like Dustin's voice in live videos. Is there something I'm missing? I honestly think he sounds like someone doing karaoke with his friends rather than a vocalist of a band. I hope it's better in person cause this is disappointing. I wanna love it though cause this is my favorite band.
Dustin is pretty much entirely self-taught vocally. He finally got a vocal coach during the 'Divisions' era. His live vocals are definitely not perfect and he sounds better on some days than others, but he's gotten better and better every time I've seen Starset and I am so proud of him and how far he's come. (I told him so at the post-show signing in Houston and he said, "Thanks, that means a lot," and Ron chimed in with, "Especially coming from you," presumably since I've been going to their shows since the 'Transmissions' era.) I feel like getting that vocal coach leveled him up noticeably. Also, screaming seems to be one of his strengths and he's gotten even better at that too. He seems like he has some crazy lung capacity, even back in his Downplay days with that drawn-out scream in "Digging It Out." He's one of my favorite screamers/unclean vocalists. I love that he only uses unclean vocals sparingly with Starset and to express rage or anger in songs, so they don't get overused and when it happens, it packs a punch. Also, on a side note about live videos, I feel like live video always makes people sound worse than they do in person. It's like the camera adding ten pounds or whatever. Part of it might be sub-par microphones or mic placement in relation to the stage.
In concert it definitely sounds way better in person. I was at the houston show and definitely barely noticed any out of tune notes or failed notes. With the actual volumes of the electronics, back up effects, and drums, it almost forces you to hear the vocalist as being in tune. It's exhilarating. I had my doubts about shelling out about $100 for two tickets with parking and insurance to see someone who sounds shaky on videos, but it was absolutely worth it 100%. Once in a lifetime experience, but I'll probably go again next time they're near lol.

Earthrise was so beautiful, I wish they played Otherworldly too. Actually, I wish they played the whole Horizons album
I really hope they do symbiotic and Tunnelvision when I see them, those 2 are my favorites on the album and I haven't seen a set list with them yet
