I’m currently looking for a role in content creation and social media management. It was useful to watch this from the perspective of employer. The more perspectives you have the better :)
It's getting ridiculous, you deliver often, very often when I need some input. Appreciate what you are doing for the international community! Thank you, Garry! Greetings from Berlin
I enjoyed the video but hiring engineers is whole different story when you are a first time founder or a non technical one. How can two different realms communicate? what questions should be asked ? could they steal your software files? . I think there is so much risk involved giving someone access to the core of the company. If you have an app or website so much depends on engineers
Garry - You know how God-like you are in my eyes. This tutorial raised a question for me - In my 7th Group Session on YC Startup School, one of the participants, an engineer out of Japan, got so sparked by "You and Me Across Time" that he offered to scale the brand for me. He got so fascinated by the notion of "...combining a creative guy with a tech guy and see what valuable things they learn from each other...". My question is - Is there a bad/down side to this? I mean, a gift fell into my lap...how can that be bad, right?
This really goes into the diverse pool and hiring market for companies but how does a remote applicant improve his chances where now the competition is 10X or 100X bigger?
Luckily about 20% of startups in SF just went remote on hiring and since they are likely to be the ones who can get to product market fit it may well mean a 2X to 10X in companies to apply to as well.
Gerry u r doing a grt job man. I just hope everyone gets to know abt this n ur channel grows. Thank u.
I appreciate that!

This is gold!
And just like all valuables it is only viewed/owned by just 5k people, call them the 1% elite of knowledge seekers! 😀
It’s like I think about a question and next week you come up with a video to solve that!! Great video again👍👍
Glad to help!

Great video Garry and Ammon! Even though I do not have an engineer background. I know some people who this video can help!

8:09 Background screening removes diverse candidates from non traditional backgrounds.

What do you think about empathy while building a startup should I be more empathetic about things or just be an a**hole and cheat my way through it.
Now the problem with remotely is that, I am not sure whether the IP will be protected properly. I want be able to hire someone i can see face to face
Do you also happen to have a podcast version of this interview? That would be amazing.
Great job Garry, keep up the excellent work
hoped someday we will meet gary

Thanks, nice
Most welcome
great Gary, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Would be nice if the videos were at 4K resolution
Haha probably can’t since it’s all remote
Hey Gary, what software are using for editing your video and putting all the content together?
My team uses Premiere Pro, but I prefer FCPX
❤️
Playback speed {
"Garry": normal,
"Ammon": 0.5,
}
He literally sounds sped up.
