It’s interesting that there is multiple events for the tournament and that we don’t know what it is. Miguel Robby Sam and Tory are likely to get their wins at the Sekai Taikai
Especially Johnny…like idk I’d argue Johnny is already doing extreme training methods for the students…like jumping from a building to another…so what makes mikes training any different?
I really like this clip. It seems like Daniel and Johnny brought him in as an unbiased point of view of the kids so he can fairly pick who goes to the tournament. The hype for season 6 is real!! 🥋 🐍
I really think that Mike Barnes will play a big role this season. I agree with your other points. Also, I just wanna say it’s great to see you posting cobra Kai videos after a long time Jacob! The video on Demetri was awesome man.
I believe there will be a tournament to determine who gets to fight. We all assume it would be the main 6, but maybe they mix it up and it’s not Miguel AND Robby but one or the other, same with Tory and Sam, Hawk and Demetri…
I feel like as each additional sensei is added to each dojo , each style gets closer and closer to it's original roots. It's like the dojos themselves have their own character arc. With Cobra Kai, with Johnny running it, it was Cobra Kai-light, then Kreese and Silver, now Kim De Un it gets more and more heartless and strict going back to it's original roots from her grandfather as seen in season 3-5. With Miyagi Do, it was 1st Daniel, then Johnny tagging along, then Chosen and now Mike. With each sensei getting more and more aggressive and traditional, first Chosen then Mike, Miyagi Do is turning into what it originally was all those centuries ago like Chosen explained to Daniel in season 3, to use to defend and protect lives, not just points and to kill if necessary(although I don't think that will happen in the show, it may be something Mike and Chosen convinces Daniel to prepare them for. Maybe Dimitri takes it too far, a foreign student recognizes the life or death moves and drops Demetri. Who knows?) At the time Daniel said there was no need for that "extreme" version of Miyagi Do, but it seems with this world tournament it might very well be needed to bring the original roots of Miyagi Do back to protect them from the crazy students of Kim De Unn. I feel like her students will be like Johnny, Chosen and Mike Barnes was in the OG movies, but on steroids. As the series progresses, the writers have given us hints and reasons for each respective style to go deeper into it's original roots. So it's not just character progression, but each style and dojo even has its own story arc in this show. Brilliant!
Hey jacob with this clip, this says a lot about the tournament and the stakes. Barnes says about the horror stories and intensity stories ,people dying and i wonder that none of the teens will come out of the tournament unscathed.
This was an excellent sneak peak its gotten me excited at what to expect for part 1 having mike add some realness and intensity is just excellent this is the world tournament essentially the all valley will feel like baby cakes in comparison this also explains the scene of some of them holding the rocks while squatting this must of been part of his training getting them prepped for the upcoming intensity. While most of these characters have gone through there fair share of hardship this will push them to the world class level man I'm so excited for season 6 its gonna be fire I just know it something like cobra kai will most likely never happen again this series is the definition of lightning in a bottle even with its flaws and shortcomings.
That clip alone was WAY better than the official trailer 😂👍 Barnes is so badass! 🙏 Fully agree with your thoughts, man 💪This truly is surreal to see!! Absolutely incredible. Disney’s Star Wars should be sooo damn embarrased.
I think this might’ve confirmed your theory of people dying at the tournament. He’s definitely going to be a great addition to the team. I feel Mike will even go to lengths Johnny wouldn’t date to go. It’s definitely going to be interesting
I don’t know Johnnys pretty extreme…like having them jump from one building to another & let’s not forget that some of the main students have had cobra Kai training
It seems a bit unrealistic to have Anthony try out for the Sekai Taikai. He’s fairly new to karate. Unlike the others, who have way more experience. Anthony could become good over time with training and even compete in the next All Valley but not to go into a global tournament right away.
Anthony LaRusso is the biggest failure of the show. But that is not the fault of Griffin Santopietro who portrays him. The writers neglected his character for so long and don't know what to do with him anymore.
If handled much better, Anthony could have been the show's version of Damian Wayne ( Batman ) but he was turned into Henry Jennings ( The Americans ). Its all too late.
It makes sense because the stakes have to be higher for the final season, and for that the Sakai Takai has to be on another level compared to the All-Valley Tournament. This is not some local thing, not even a state-level stage. This is on a global stage. To quote MCU Cap, “No mistakes, no do-overs.” I don’t believe anyone will be killed, but I do have a feeling someone is going to be permanently injured during this. The question is who? And like you said about this show-Cobra Kai is everything the Star Wars sequel trilogy *should* have been. As always, keep up the good work! 😎👍
I don't think Barns was involved in the tournament because what he tells about the tuning is something he heard from others who participated. Barns also says that he has heard horror stories about someone dying in tuning, and the fact that they are horror stories might mean that there probably isn't anyone who has died in the tournament, but probably more just than Urban Legend
I can’t help but see this potentially foreshadowing a BIG falling out with Daniel and Mike Barnes. Julie may be brought in to rectify things after the falling out.
Well in the Cobra Kai universe there are no parents to object to a tournament where kids have been killed. Isn't this irresponsible of Daniel, Johnny, and Chozen?
And it doesn’t seem like they know cobra Kai is back in action so why enter but I could be wrong…cause it wouldn’t make sense for them to care about the world tournament so much
I think Mike brings them to the batting cages and has all them train that’s something To intense for Johnny to do. Or Johnny gave him the idea. Because he does say they gave him permission to do what he wants
I hope mike Barnes reveals who was his sensei and where he learned karate. My theory is this , i believe the briefcase contains a lead to julie pierce , i believe terry sylver knows Miguel's father and when he gets out of prison he will connect with him and get some of his students and enter the tournament as cobra kai. Another theory colonel dugan is already in the tournament with his students as team alpha academy
I do agree that Mike did participate in the Sekai Taikai at one point in his youth but it would be a big deal if ever he made it all the way up to the semi-finals or maybe even further to the finals but never won it because that means HE HAS SOME EXPERIENCE because of his INSIDE KNOWLEDGE
I wonder how extreme mikes training methods are like…is it any different from cobra Kai training and Johnny’s lessons…seems the students are ready in my opinion..in terms of extreme training
Imo Hawk is the one who's getting bodied, you said Rocky IV reference, creed and Balboa used to be best friends by the time the accident happened and Creed wore those stars and stripes, he had that badass entrance then got bodied (and died) against Drago. Hawk and Dimitri are just like Rocky and Creed now, they've been friends but rivals as well The same thing kinda happened between them as well since in s2 Hawk (Creed) was considerably stronger than Dimitri (Rocky) yet the latter prevailed on the former or at least proved capable of doing so with the right technique. By the way Dimitri has always been like strong af but just like Rocky lacked something to boost his confidence and that thing will be his best friend getting bodied. Just like you said earlier, we saw how borderline strong dark Robby, dark Miguel, dark Hawk and dark Kenny used to be but dark Demetri could be even more dangerous than all of them, cuz the my boy looks intimidating just by being tempted by the dark side. He's possibly like Luke Skywalker
I don't think anybody is going to die in the sekai takai. Cobra Kai is not that type of adult movie like bloodsport or even Rocky where it gets extremely violent. I don't think the writers would go into that direction.
Like in Rocky 4, I think there will be a death in the tournament. The bad guy will kill one of the kids (maybe Hawk). Also, Kreese will die in the season 6 finale. Just my prediction.
Well done! You were right since you thought this would happen if I remember correctly. But about the 180 degree turn: Arent you a bit concerned (like me) they really make Tory leave the team and joins Kreese and the Korean's? Peyton List was photographed with that black trouser with the red stripe, the trousers of the Kim family, young Kreese and Silver did wear these trousers too. I wouldnt like it if they do that, would imo destroy Tory's character at all.
Mike Barnes Gi also is black with the red stripes on the pants. Perhaps he has his own dojo now? And Tory decides to join. Or maybe he has a falling out with Daniel over his training methods and decides to enter a student or two under him, at the sekai Takai. 🤷♀️
@@Teagirl009 Unfortunately the new scene with Barnes shows this isnt the case. Barne's trouser has two red stripes and a black in the middle, Peyton's trouser has only one red stripe. I did cross check it multiple times and 90% she was wearing a trouser of the Kim family. Young Kreese and Silver did wear the same, and the new students are wearing them too.
That was an amazing clip of Mike Barnes but to me Mike Barnes is going to be the most important character and sensei because he is going to teach these students what it takes to win the Sekai Taikai, also he will teach them that you will have to fight dirty and that you might have to break people's arms and maybe we will get a little backstory of how Mike became the Bad Boy of Karate.
Yeah I've always wanted to know where he learned karate and who taught him because he beat the hell out of Daniel when he was already pretty seasoned being in a fight to the death against a superior opponent in the last movie then bam this random guy who's training is a complete mystery just comes out of nowhere and dog walks him the entire film
Johnny and Mike will work so well together.
I just noticed that Mike looks at Sam when he says the ‘delicate flowers’ line. 😂
Hahahaha 😂
It’s interesting that there is multiple events for the tournament and that we don’t know what it is. Miguel Robby Sam and Tory are likely to get their wins at the Sekai Taikai
Super excited to see more of this from Mike. They need this. It isn’t a joke anymore. Crazy to even see him talking to our miyagi do’s
Nope exactly that
It’s serious business
Johnny and chosen might enjoy mikes tough methods. They’re all used to showing aggression.
Especially Johnny…like idk I’d argue Johnny is already doing extreme training methods for the students…like jumping from a building to another…so what makes mikes training any different?
@@TheGuy-u7f I’m saying he would most likely be okay with mikes strict approach because aggression is also Johnny’s thing too.
He's always been a business man. I really loved the furniture store scenes in Season 5.
Very true. Even in Karate Kid 3 he’s able to get Terry Silver to give him 50% of Cobra Kai.
👍this amazing to see more of Mike Barnes he was brilliant in season 5
I love your reaction when Barnes said eliminations! 😂

This scene here gets me really hyped

I hope we get more info about Mike Barnes sensi and his karate’s philosophy….I wonder if mikes gonna teach the kids how to fight dirty?
Damn mike gonna push them past their limit like silver did wuth kenny barnes might do with demetri

This scene makes it clear that not everyone in the dojo will be going to the tournament and Barnes will be the one who picks who goes
Basically all the people that aint going are cpus
