Skyverb Thanks 😍👍 I have just posted my favourite Ax Edge tutorial, turning an Ax Edge into a wireless Workstation using zenbeats... It goes live on youtube tomorrow (20th August).
Thank you. I agree with the others who have said your step-by-step instructions have made it very easy to program the Ax-Edge. Would you consider another video explaining how to program the ribbon controller or the assignable control wheel to use for pitch bending so we can get more creative with our awesome lead guitar w/feeback solos???
@Miamibeachdoc2008 Hi, thanks 😀👍 Thank you for your suggestions, I have some more Ax Edge programming videos I am planning to do very soon, so I will add your suggestions too 😀👍
Thank you very much, this sounds excellent! I only have one question. It sounds a bit like it doesn't have depth, as if the lower frequencies have disappeared. Is there a way to have the sound take up more room, like the very first "edge lead" presets do?
@ccb1127 Hi, thanks 😀👍 I designed this guitar preset to cut through a busy live band, so the lack of lower frequencies was intentional. You can change the EQ settings and the reverb to create more depth and low frequencies.
Thank you very much for this nice explanation, I tried it and it worked out fine. I am looking for the shadows guitar, can you possibly tell me where I can find it? Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Maurice
@MorelkesStudio I'm glad you found my video helpful 😀👍 I am currently working on a guitar sound patch pack (axial) for the Ax Edge which I hope to upload a demo video of soon. I will put some thought into adding a shadows style sound patch in this pack. 😀
@@IbandUKThank you very much. I had some sounds that by bad luck with a problem with my pc I lost. Unfortunately I could not install it because at the end of the installation there should be a * and I never had this *. Best regards Maurice
Thank you for another great detailed video. I'm still waiting on my AX-Edge from Sweetwater. The editor software won't run on my Android phone at all. Are you using an older android tablet for your editing? Or an older android phone? Just curious. I'd like to be prepared when the synth arrives so I can tweak it.
Rich Kielbasa Thanks 😍👍 Hi, the editor won't run on your phone until it is paired with an Ax Edge (because the editor is like a remote control for the Ax Edge and not an independent app), so if you haven't got an Ax Edge yet you won't be able to use the editor. I have the editor app on both my phone (android 11) and my tablet (android 8).
@@IbandUK OK - We'll see / I have it installed on my Android 12 phone. I wasn't expecting to pair up with anything yet, but the UI itself is all "squished" looking, so I was wondering if when I get the Edge if I would even be able to select any options on the phone. I think what I will do it get an older Android tablet and work with the AX-Edge that way. Thanks for the response and keep the great videos coming!
@@RichKielbasa does you ever figure this out? My edge just came in, and I feel dumb but didn't think to download the app before. I can't even download the app from the play store...
@@nathankennedy7548 It's horrible.. I decided to just stick with the stock patches. I use the AX-Edge mostly to control my other synths though, so it's not a big deal, but it's a waste of a synth. They could have sold this as a $500 controller and just left the synth out of it. It was developed half ass for sure.
Do you have to use the phone, or tablet each time you want that Feedback sound through the Axe Edge, or is the Sound Saved inside of the Axe Edge Patch?
Mark Rockledge Hi, I saved the feedback guitar sound to one of the 320 patch slots on my Ax Edge so I don't have to use the Ax Edge Editor app on my tablet each time... I just turn on my Ax Edge, select the feedback guitar sound on my Ax Edge and play.

@bryantwaner9937 Hi, yes I do make quite a lot of new sounds on the Ax Edge. I would be happy to do commission sounds, however, I need Zenology Pro to create sounds that can be downloaded to other Ax Edges and I am planning to purchase Zenology Pro in the next week and test compatability.
@@IbandUK Hey, I think I figured out how to share patches without zenology, at least from my android tablet. If I'm right, don't buy software you don't need.
@bryantwaner9937 Yes, it can be done using axl (I have already posted a drum kit tone on my website a year or so ago and posted the video on my channel). Zenology pro creates sdz files which is the official sound pack format but I might stick to axl, since I'm about to do an Ax editor library tutorial
They should really update the Roland Ax Edge app or make a new Keytar all together. Feel like Keytars aren't getting the update treatments they deserve. Roland is making EWIs, keyboards and Drumpads no problem but not new Keytars.
@AaronQman1 True the last update was a while ago but it was a major upgrade... Zenology engine. The Ax Edge is now one of the most powerful keyboards made by Roland. The down side though is that it looks like Roland now expects everyone with an Ax Edge (or other Zenology engine synth) to spend a chunk of money on buying Zenology pro (or the hugely expensive Ultimate cloud subscription).
@@IbandUK Right the Ax edge is truly the king of keytars no doubt. Everything has it's pros and cons. I definitely appreciate these tutorials to make life easier. That's one huge pro of being an Ax Edge owner!

100 taps to get to desired tone effect. This is insane user experience Doesn’t roland have a button to get to desired effect
But really appreciate you showing this due to lack of Roland feature to make it simple
