I remember like it was today when i said ok i have this day off, let me finish LoML questline and get the adventure log buffs...i should be able to finish before i go to sleep. Boy have i been a fool.
Came back after not playing just to get the TET and PEN blackstars. I wasnt even close to getting them before and was working on the jetina quest to get my PEN Dande. Once I got the TET BS I decided fuck it I have 2 hammer, lets use them. Popped one of my 150fs and clicked. It fucking went on the second click. I made a PEN BS and its the only gear Ive enhanced my self but fuck am I happy about it
No joke same thing happened with me when I came back as a Returning Adventurer.. I opened my Tet BS box and used the 2 J's hammers and it went not on the 2 hammer taps, but on my 3rd tap using crons.. The returning adventurer RNG is real, its how they get u hooked back on, but then post end game the content is legit dry and not worth it imo.
I quit for months, come back and always hit some enhancing. That's how I got my three BS V😂

The majority of people are very tired of grind zones 😂 most people don't play this game and they complain about 1. Enhancing and 2. Boring circle grinding

I think the hardcore server is only just that. You can’t enhance the gear. You start at 60 and gear stays the same all the time. It’s more focused on PvP without being powercreaped by gear
I hope the pvpers like it they deserve something, i wish it was rewarding tho like yea its capped but maybe let it be a way to make silver for your main account or something, pvp players have been complaining about how they're activities never give meaningful silver it seems like an easy fix

Man I remember when we started back in 2016-2017, the game is so unrecognizable now. For years we said we wanted rewarding PvP and group content pve. Not really sure how that gets lost but I guess the squeaky wheel (pve only crowd) got the grease and now the game is so friendly that no one stops to realize that those “toxic” nodewars / gvgs/ sieges made the game explode with content. Those who complained after getting their butt kicked early on instead of working hard for their gear finally got their wish. A dead game. Open your map and select the nodewar option, say it isn’t dead.
Pvp was never good tho, idky people defend it so much when half the time people are invisible and teleport across the map every few seconds 💀 yall should be crying about that not the node ear changes, not to say they are good now im js yall have larger problems

kinda new to mmorpgs, considering picking up black desert since its only 99cents on steam right now. is it worth the price/time investment to pick it up?
It's worth a buck lol you'll have some fun but i wouldn't take it too seriously in its current state just play until you get bored and drop it
Dont believe others, its worth it. The grind is heavy but all MMORPG have grinds. The grind of the game is worth it, you can actually feel the progress once you get an upgrade. Its a rewarding feelings. They have added more end game content, pvp, group content, and solo content etc. There is always something to do whether its PVE, PVP, or Life skilling. Im not hyping it up because I enjoy the game. I just know the games not as bad as people make it out to seem. Try it out, do everything if you could.
Get Guild Wars 2 instead. I'm serious. It's superior.

Open world pvp is going to be relegated to a hardcore server/arsha. I hate to tell this to my open world pvp lovers you are vastly outnumbered and most people want this change. I'd recommend joining an active pvp guild to get open world if you want it. I'm in a guild right now that has 4 active wars going Over 1.5k total deaths. Your days of griefing undergeared/non pvp players are pretty much over.
yeah.. be prepared to spent 7 hours duration to clear all LoML story again. which take a day for me to clear. RIP

Quit BDO because theres nothing to do after you get your gear. Very little content and the content that is present is either outdated or not worth your time.
Life is about the journey not the destination. If you enjoy the grind then it's all good.

But that aside I don't get why people are so hyped because there's a long history of PA announcing things and then just acting like they never said they were gonna be in the game and never releasing them so until it's actually developed and otw there's really no point in thinking its actually gonna be in the game, and even if it does make it doesn't mean it'll be good, it could be hot garbage like a lot of the stuff PA hypes up.
I hope it makes it in the game and it's great and the game moves forward but it's hard to have faith in them when they lie so much and never even address why

I've always played MMOs to work on my gear and use it to pvp, that was taken away from me in BDO, as someone who plays since early 2017 and been nodewaring/sieging every week since then, it's a dead game honestly, if you seek pvp there is nothing to find in bdo anymore, time to move on. Since I was in Sovereign I didn't expect to see them name the weapons like that lol.

They just won't. Most people don't like open world pvp its the same reason Arsha is empty/this hardcore server will be prob DoA. There is a reason that pretty much every MMO ever has eventually removed open world PVP. It works in smaller communities but the larger your game gets the more toxic open world becomes. Rinse/repeat. I'm speaking from experience. Every single game i've ever played since EQ1 has removed open world pvp to a small violin from the couple hundred people that liked it. it just is what it is.
@@Robert-ms2xs well then you don’t look close enough. There are 3 main points why BDO is in such bad shape
1. PA currently uses BDO as cash cow to raise funds for crimson desert. The have there whole development team working on it that’s why this heidel ball was such a L. That’s why the push for no open world casual PvE players. But this game got no PvE. Now we have a game with no PvE and no PvP
2. Open world works just fine. The problem is not the “evil & toxic PvP players” the toxic side comes from PA and the systems the implement into the game. You can’t blame people to become toxic in a system that’s designed to get toxic. As example the PvE system. You did make high amount of silver in low lvl spots compared to high level spots. This pushed high gs players to relaxe grind areas that are meant for beginners. The outcome is the “evil PvP” player “bully” new player. The new player feehls bullied and the old player feehls annoyed bc someone is grieving him. Open world is only toxic when there is no competition over resources bc then it’s personal. As long as there is competition for resources and the ability to get out of PvP via server swap etc open world is great.
3. PA dose heavy marketing to pve casual players while heavily restricting and cutting off any PvP content. After years it’s obvious that a lot of PvP players left the game. Now you can say “most people don’t want to PvP” yes because you killed the community and the game over years of restrictions

I am closing in on hardcap and it really does not feel fun anymore. Your gains are barely impactful and the content you like slowly dies, while new boring or painful content gets patched into the game... I miss the old stars end days, where you needed to pull and actually manage your skills ans stuff to do good. Now you just pick whats easiest and spin around a tower. Party grind content is super limited and mostly not worth your time besides 2 spots. Dungeons are super wonky mechanic wise and barely worth your time, even with the debos added now. Love pvp and NW, but also dont want to leave my friends in my current guild. Whole NW system is f*cked rn anyway, so who cares. Ahh yes and they added a super important pve buff to NW and now it is a clown fiesta. Dont care about lifeskilling, but that is also really falling off.
I really dont know what direction bdo will go in in the future and I am a bit hurt to see my favorite game get destroyed by weird design decisions. Hope Dosa is fun and that they improve on everything.

Dead boring ass game
All PA cares about is getting a surge of new players and returning players because of the Free Pen Blackstar, and ultimately as we can see have destroyed the MP for dam near every item at this point, those same ppl who left before will leave again, the new ppl will realize they have pen BS and tuvala everything else and the game is to ahrd and they will leave, and now that everything is basically worthless you have managed to devalue all the veteran players time... WTG PA .... RIP BDO 2024,,,
There's always gonna be catch mechanics and rewards because the majority of people don't wanna spend a year of full time grinding to get to get somewhere. They never should've made the gear this grindy in the first place tbh the enhancement system ruins the game and its obviously not there for progression but for wasting your time and making you want to spend money in the shop.
That aside they are focusing on gimmicks a bit much they need to fix the game instead of just giving away cool stuff because its not gonna keep anyone around if there's no meaningful content
@@theblackishboy1105 Thats the thing the game was always meant to be this grind intensive its legitimately the whole point of the game. But when they give away things all the time for little to no effort, you have devalued everyone else's time, the enhancement arguement is silly to be honest, as you dont have to enhance anything, ppl choose to put themselves through the pitfall of enhancing, INSTEAD of grinding and saving the silver, so in actuality enhancing was a gamble to get items soon if your lucky, basically the story of one person works hard and saves his money for his life and the other that swears one day he's just going to win the lottery. There are plenty of catch up mechanics but at some point you have to stop giving it all away or what is the point of even playing to begin with. If you cant progress in the game because you cantsucceed in enhancing then maybe try the alternate route of grinding the silver and buying the item, aka true progression. So most of the crybaies went from a free tet BS to free Pen BS but still cant grind anywhere else cuz the rest of there gear still sucks.

And once again that isn't true because you can just buy your gear if you spend enough money so it was never created to be grindy it was created to be p2w and make money being grindy is just a way to justify and give and excuse for the p2w by leaving the option of grinding. That way they always have the excuse of "you can earn it if you spend enough time"
Again i have no issue with having to spend time to earn things, progression is good but bdo is purposely unreasonable and it would have more players if it was less rng, especially with enhancing if enhancing wasn't horrible the game would objectively be better for the vast majority of people.
Could they have given a better catch-up mechanic? Yes they could just make the game better and less rng and people would naturally catch-up but they chose the lazy way and gave a weapon but complaining about the game not abusing the players time sounds silly, especially when its p2w and almost all the imaginary accomplishment you have is thrown out the window once someone if willing to swipe enough if there was no p2w you could argue all that but it makes no sense when p2w is as prevalent as it is
And again your time doesn't matter, im jot saying this to disrespect you I'm tell you how the devs look at it, your time never mattered they don't care they want you to spend your money, so they make it as grueling as humanely possible. You can find accomplishment in that and i have in other games but at the end of the day you are being manipulated and taught by the geme and the devs to think that way, they hire professionals to manipulate you and me.
Now if the game wasn't p2w maybe you could make that argument but unfortunately it is, very p2w so your time was never valued you just wasted it. Now if you enjoy the game that's fine you can get some fun out of it so you can argue it wasn't wasted but the feeling of progression and accomplishment was never an intended thing from the devs perspective it was an excuse so there's no point in thinking of it that way because they don't care
And even if it wasn't p2w if you have to spend 3 years to get caught up your games going to die that's just the reality so your time invested would still be wasted cuz very few people would stick with the game, most people don't have time to no life these games they have real lives, so yes catch up mechanics or preferably, time respecting game design is important rather you like it or not
