I want this. I wish they kept it for nes, gb, gbc, gba, snes, megadrive only. And made the gamelists more complete for theese systems instead. And took away the shoulder buttons, even if they looks nice. It could been 25% bigger(guess cause I don't have mine yet). Still love to see the reviews on this little thing.
This thing looks so nice. I'm on the fence between this (because of how cool it looks), the 351P (better internals) and the Super Console X because it's probably the best no-fuss emulator box. Choices, choices....
I have this and the RG351P and RG280V is more portable due to it's smaller size and packs a punch. The screen is beautiful. However, it has no analog sticks and the RG351P has 2 of them so playing games like Quake and Duke Nukem 3D are better on it.
This handheld is super adorable but too uncomfortable for practical use. Even my Retroid Pocket 2 and GPD XD my small girl hands go numb after holding it for more than half an hour. Why I'm a fan of bigger controllers/handhelds. You should do a review on the Pocketgo S30 mine is coming in from the mail pretty soon. Not many reviews on this one. It looks cool it's got a fairly big screen and looks like an 8bitdo SNES controller. Maybe I'll take up doing a review when I get mine cause of haven't seen much in reviews for the S30. EDIT: Ok now there are finally quite a few reviews of you look them up
@@WickedGamerCollector just got mine yesterday. Looks cool, feels good in the hands performs well for all the 16-bit stuff not so much for the Dreamcast or PSP. Emulators are not properly optimized for the screen so some games look a little muddled. The L+R's are a little awkward. But these are all just minor complaints after being spoiled with better retro handhelds. The hallmark of the S30 is that you can just pick up and play unlike the other handhelds I had to tinker around with. Great for people who don't have much computer knowledge and are just getting into the retro handheld market. There is already improvements made for this system for more emulators and changing up the themes and am sure more will come.
Beside the unbalanced glass on screen (not a problem) , mine has a white visible border line on the left side that you can see if you look at it from the right side. Also the 16GB firmware card is terrible, already crashed the system once (needed to reinstall firmware) without really messing a lot with.. The only all in one solution software that works fine atm is a French rg family simple menu version. Everything else on it is nintento quality level. 8/16 bit no prob and Psx games that dont run stucked in 60 fps ( and you can play in 2.8") can be counted using one hand. Its so good in size and quality that i would say, its the best there is out there atm.
@Gamer's Kismet Yes it can, but i would suggest people not to buy it with any card if they can, the 16gb is barely alive and the 128gb had the same games many times without even covers, and also needed windows to fix some errors.
Anbernic's RG351MP is a great system. You get a nice crisp 640x480 screen which is perfect for most retro systems and dual analog sticks. It has a premium build quality.
@@overnightdelivery There are some hiccups running PS1 games on the RG280V but nothing game-breaking to me. A majority if the games I've tried run well. I have not attempted to try N64 on the RG280V because it can't handle it. The RG351MP can handle PS1 better because it has a better processor. N64 emulation is not perfect but it is playable if you don't mind 40-50 FPS in some games.
Hi there i have situation with a pandora's box that I just recently bought. The gamepad that I have has some issues. It doesnt work when I start a game. But when I am at the menu I can use it. I was checking on the key settings when I click on the gamepad settings I don't see the name of the gamepad, like it's not connected. Is it the gamepad that has issues or the box it self? Should I try a different gamepad or is this fixable? Hope to here from you. By the way I like your videos very much.
I thought it was street fighter 3rd strike on the thumbnail, do you know if this device could handle that game? It is the main one I wish to play on it
I think I was living under a rock, but today I catch some news regarding the "aya NEO " handheld, cant wait for your review on this bad boy! it looks like an absolute beast of a handheld regarding its specs, I am 100% positive if it cant emulate something, it will be due to software limitations! since they claim it can even run cyberpunk 2077, I am so hyped, depending on the price, I will def buy it.
@@ronch550 yeah, its a bummer, if I had the cash totally would get it, but 800+ is a bit to much for me to spend on a handheld, ill wait some years :P until we get this kind of a beast on the 100 - 200 range.
When I enter the emulators and choose an emulator I can no longer see the list of games and select a game that starts. Only folders open and I can't start any games! What have I unintentionally changed, how can I get back to playing?
Is the Powkiddy RG20 more comfortable to use and is it more powerful ? I like this but 2feel the unit and screen itself is way too small, saying that this would be perfect for a young kid with smaller hands.
Great video and the looks of the system are great but i am not very sure those shoulder buttons are very comfortable playing a long time it is also a pity that is a bit underpowered for today's standards
The biggest problem is that you might unwillingly hit L1 and R1 while playing, depending on how you hold the unit. I think this thing is great but of course being so small, any adult with normally sized hands needs to adjust to it. After a while it was not a problem to me. Actually the L1/L2 and R1/R2 arrangement really does work, the inner buttons are slightly raised so there is a tactile differentiation. I wouldn't say it's an ideal unit for long play sessions but for the portability aspect is pretty solid.
I like it very much for what it is. It's a tiny unit but that's kind of the point of it. Performance is mostly good, most PS1 stuff runs fine and that's the limit here. The only two things I don't like are the included Xmame (but MAME4ALL can be added and that's pretty good along with FBA) and the way Master System graphics are handled, both included emulators can't seem to scale them efficiently. Everything else, pretty good!
As someone who has both the 300 and the 280V I can say that the 280 is so much better. The 300 doesn't come close. A better alternative would be something like a 351p. Although it's landscape not portrait.
@@simonday9013 I have the RG300 and the RG350M. I don't use the 300 anymore which is a shame because I love the design so much. I'm still not a fan of the shoulder buttons on these things, you do need very stretchy supple fingers to use them in certain combinations without dropping the device
hello friend, china pack kkk very hilarious. please could you make a video about the retro video game PK01 from Aliexpress, I am in doubt about buying one, but I would like a Review of yours about it to be sure, I would like to thank you very much for a great hug from the channel
It's very easy to add your own games to the unit as the games sd card can be read by every computer (while I think the system sd card that's covered by the sticker is linux only).
Someone in China read your comment and agreed. Because look at the specs for any $60 handheld released in the past 3 years. Many of them have 1Gb DDR3 RAM You were right, Some random guy on the internet, that predicted the future. 😂👍✨🏆🎮
I've seen dozens of reviews for this model and the screen is supposed to be raised like that, its part of the retro aesthetic.
true that
Thank you to review this product and i'm still looking forward on RG280V .

Anbernic makes some truly great quality handhelds!
Recently paid for one of these off aliexpress, bought the case and everything ready only to realise I’ve been scammed 😭 I’d love one of these. Oh well
What I would like to see is something with a much bigger screen, much easier for my eyes. These things are cool though.

Though it isn't too comfortable for long sessions but more so for on-the-go gaming
This was my first retro handheld this and the powkiddy v90 are my favorites
Not the most comfortable but I love mine
It seems that spam bot girls now into retro gaming too ;)

Thats the reason why theres alot of cool nostalgia game!
