What is the minimum quantity of sugar or jaggery i can use.. as i don't want biscuits to be sweet.. a slight tint of sweetness is sufficient... what is the role of sugar in biscuit except sweetness.. if it is used for binding then please suggest other alternate to bind. I don't want to use sugar to bind.
Can you tell a substitute for jaggery ?? Can we use anything else for sugar that is natural ?? Please tell ..i have searched so many recipes and not found anything.??
If you like, you can use natural sweetener like stevia. It’s much more sweeter than jaggery so you might need a very little amount to replace jaggery in this recipe.
Hi. The recipe is fabulous. I did try it and loved the texture. However biscuits became little soggy the next day. They lost its texture just like the rusk recipe I tried. Could you please let me know how to fix that ? Thanks in advance :)

Worst recipe ever! No proper measurements.. you mentioned half teaspoon baking powder & taking half tablespoon 😂 Trying this recipe was the worst decision ever. All the efforts went in vain!! The biscuits became like over burnt mathri 😂 1/3rd cup milk seriously??!

You can add butter finally and give it a mix.. Batter shouldnt be too thick also
Because of more timing that is 25-30 mins ur cookies became hard

Yes , cookies will come out very well without baking powder also . And it doesn't matter if you add baking powder or not .

The jaggery is used only for sweetness, it’s not a binder. You can definitely decrease the quantity as per your taste.
