    I show this to friends who don't understand the scope of a game the size of the galaxy can be. This is a treasure of scenes! Thanks so much for collecting and sharing them:) lots of work in game and editing went into this I am sure!!

    • @Crusina
      @Crusina  8 років тому +4

      I thought I recognized the name! High praise coming from your creative mind =]
      And I'm really glad you liked it so much! What's really exciting is that I play on the Xbox One version and Frontier took out the ability to go into 3rd person (Or classified camera, whatever they call it now) while in supercruise.
      You'll notice I didn't have any shots like that in my video. But it's coming back tomorrow! Plus Horizons just like a week later.
      I already have TONS of ideas for what I'm going to do and I know it's going to be my best one yet. My only issue is song selection. I can't decide what songs to use lol

    • @GhostGiraffe
      @GhostGiraffe 8 років тому

      +Crusina fantastic! Super excited for that! Wow what a sucky thing to not have external camera. Well I'm glad for everyone's sake it's coming back.
      Yeah music selection is so important! Sometimes a video idea starts with a certain track:) keep us posted on how it goes :D

    • @Crusina
      @Crusina  8 років тому +1

      BTW, thanks for sharing the video. You may haven noticed the lack of any "Like/subscribe/follow my fifty social channels" on my videos so when I hear people sharing it of their own free will it really makes me proud of what I do lol
      And you can help me select if you want! If you have the time, give them a listen and tell me what you think:
      I'm thinking of staring with this one:
      ua-cam.com/video/MA9uv4IL4Zo/v-deo.html
      But it's a struggle to pick the next one, Homecoming is very upbeat and contrasts a lot with Finding Home.
      ua-cam.com/video/1ViR7M_Qa6w/v-deo.html
      But this one flows very well from Finding Home, the only issue is that they are both, long, slow songs, with strong finishes so I risk repetition.
      ua-cam.com/video/fHsc3XmALC0/v-deo.html
      And then there is this song. I've been saving this one for a long time and quite simply it's one of the most powerful things I've heard in my life.
      ua-cam.com/video/cDgQNZrW8bA/v-deo.html
      it'd make for a good ending, but only if I find clips to match the epicness which would be hard! If you have ANY suggestions I am open to them =]

    • @GhostGiraffe
      @GhostGiraffe 8 років тому +2

      Those are all inspiring and great tracks. Sounds like to me you have a handful of videos ahead of you and don't worry about selecting which one to start with. You could always do a showcase using each one.
      But DO be careful of Content ID. It hits everyone and I'd hate to see a lot of work get hit by a claim because some person didn't want you using their music. Everyone I follow on youtube has been hit by it at least once. And we are trying our best to avoid it too =). Having said that, reaching out to artists is almost always a positive experience. People love being told that their work inspires them to create something. If you hear something out there you like give them a message. They might even feature you or link to your work.
      We tend to do the edits first and then imagine what songs could go over them, then sometimes the song just edits the scene for us. But mostly we just try to get as close to the mood as possible.
      There are songs that just work like magic and everything flows great but most of the time it's just best to get a product out and then let people experience the video. Because no matter how much work we put into something, we are never in control of how it is received.
      Your videos are lovingly created and it shows. That passion for the video comes across and gets viewers excited not just for what they are watching but also for what they will get to do once in game.
      Editing can be really stressful but you got to let it just flow even if it's not what you want it to be.

      Zero Official
      I've actually already paid for the license to use music from Really Slow Motion and Audiomachine for my montage. But considering the fact that I have dozens of clips and still hundreds of thousands of LY to go I was considering a side montage of clips I don't use.
      If you want something to be used for that, simply give me a few examples and I'll see what I can make of it. (PS loved that "further showcase" video)

    My only problem with the beauty in this game is everything is so crisp and clear, not once did I mange to find a nebula or some gas. And I find them to be the most atmospheric instead only crisp clear objects, don't get me wrong it is beautiful but I felt with those missing it was very fake and took me out of the moments even though it was probably more realistic lol

    • @Crusina

      haha, I really don't know.
      But it's quite easy to find them. If you use realistic mode in the galaxy map. When you select stars it shows how far they are. If it only looks like one star they are close together. I use this to find systems that might be of interest.

      I had two goals to accomplish, reach the other side and to get some beautiful shots. So it allowed me to stay on track. Plus I only scanned valuable objects and I only scanned entire systems if the setup in there was breathtaking. For instance the ringed gas giant in the nebula was an example of a system I'd scan in its entirety.
      So unlike some people I don't scan every damn rock I come across.

    • @nuggytube
      @nuggytube 9 років тому +1

      +Crusina Congrats. I'm around half way to the core, and I'm starting to increase my pace now. Before I was scanning the system and the main star whilst scooping and checking the system map.
      I realised that if I kept on doing this it would take me forever. Now I jump, scan and leave, unless something catches my eye.
