Fun fact: the total cost of the Japanese emergency medical bill is equivalent to 10 times the cost of a single cough drop here in the States. That is a cough drop, individually wrapped, "administered" to you at a hospital. For $20 US.
Wait I think I recognize you, do you watch fish stick on a stick?
@@whoisanarnb Yeah.
Yeah american health care is terrifying. Like, in the rest of the world it’s “oh you don’t have healthcare? That’ll be a bit more expensive, but it’s affordable” while in the US, healthcare companies will do whatever they possibly can not to pay for your treatment even if you do pay them, and health costs without insurance are high enough for you to have decades’ worth of debt from like a car accident
20 fucking dollars holy shit
For around $20 I've gotten get a doctor signed recipe for a strong cough medicine where I live, and an additional ~$30 to buy a 250 ml (~8.4 oz.) bottle that could last for weeks of coughing treatment. I bet a doctor in the U.S. would charge hundreds or thousands for the signature alone, which is an insane difference. It's honestly disheartening to hear that American healthcare is so for-profit that it's actively ruining lives, and the majority of people are still supporting that concept out of prejudiced contempt against their own countrymen.
Not only can the Amish have all the same medical conditions as everyone else, they seek treatment and are often way more compliant with their care than others - at least with their kids (source: I work in a pediatric hospital with decent sized Amish community around)
I wonder if there is a reason they are more compliant with medical care, or if it just correlation.
Last I heard the Amish also have a higher incidence of developmental disorders in their community.
@@zotaninoron3548 Counter to all propaganda by the right wing trying to make you believe that the Amish are _all-natural, pesticide free, chemical free, etc etc_ (which isn't pro-Amish so much as it is pro- their own trad fantasies) they actually use hazardous amounts of chemicals and fertilizers on their crops desperately trying to make their extremely poor farming practices bear any fruit. They've come under fire in multiple states for damaging the watershed with how much toxic shit they put in the ground.
Was going to post this, too lol. I saw a large Amish family at the University of Iowa hospital, waiting for the elevator lol.
Wow! Do they accept medication too?
Best part about the trees: It was in fact, the WRONG time to trim those trees, they've pernanently damaged the trees, which where protcted because SOMEONE ELSE OWNED THEM and now universal has to pay for the damages.
Probably killed them. Not only was it the wrong time of year to trim them, they did so far too aggressively and didn't leave enough leaves for the trees to sustain themselves. So yay. They killed an entire row of trees just to spite a strike. How fabulous of them /s
Shame all they had to pay was $250 :(

That photo makes me sad. That’s not a “trimming”, they absolutely mutilated those trees.

20:33 wait wait wait hold on now -- Twisted Sister literally went to court in the 80s to fight against conservative music censorship. This man showed up to court in full rock attire, and then spoke extremely eloquently and professionally on why music censorship was harmful. He's never been on conservatives' side 💀
These people are genuinely delusional. They think they own the culture, and that everyone is secretly on their side. It would be depressing if they weren't such terrible people
@@hmnhntr They genuinely think everyone is secretly on their side.
That's the ENTIRE POINT of the "silent majority" argument.
These are the same conservatives who think Rage Against The Machine's "Killing in the Name Of" is in support of the cops and right-wing politics. Conservatives thinking these bands and performers are on their side shouldn't be a surprise.
At one point they tried to say MLK Jr was conservative.
They only rember that Tipper Gore was part of that.
0:18 I was trying to figure out why the "don't deadname twitter of you wouldn't deadname a trans person" argument felt so disingenuous to me (other than it's a corporation without emotions). Think I've finally figured it out. When a trans person picks a new name, they may try a few out, they find one that fits them, and they themselves choose it. The twitter situation is more like your parents got a divorce and your new step father changed your name to megazord because he thought it'd be cool, and then you find out that one of his ex's divorced him because he tried to name their child the same thing
It’s funny because all the transgender people are saying
“He deadnames his daughter, let me deadname his website”
No a dead name is like if you transition to being a girl a deadname would be if someone called you a man or likewise
@@gtafails1492
No. No it isn’t.
A deadname is quite literally the name a trans person used to go by because _their parents named them that._ And then yes, they choose a name that fits them better, and thus the name they had becomes _dead._
If we email him spamming "Twitter" that would significantly ruin his day

Partly because of the restricted nature of the Amish community gene pool, their children actually have a higher than average (compared to the rest of the U.S.) incidence of developmental disorders.
Ah, 2023.
When the moral guardians hate the movie about the well-known anti-feminist doll for being too feminist, and love the wizard franchise they tried to ban only decades earlier.
Because who wouldn't want to see the füher go super saiyan?
Technically Barbie was meant to be feminist and then got bought by a company which pink-washed feminism to mean “girls can be anything as long as they’re feminine”
Which is basically the same propoganda they gave when men were sent off to war in America and they had no-one but available women to work the factories.
Funny how that’s literally the root cause of feminism actually skyrocketing in terms of its rallying in America
@@BlooMonkiMan Is *that* why his face is going orange?!!
It's not feminist either though. They start out with a horrible abusive matriarchy (e.g. not even knowing where the Kens live), and then they switch to an also kind of bad but not quite as bad patriarchy, and then they go back to a terrible matriarchy again. And uhh... ? That doesn't have any actual political or feminist or non feminist message to it. It's just a story about a messed up, sad universe where plastic dolls live and have issues no matter what they do, lol.
I don't know much about what views the Barbie franchise perpetuated about feminism, but this is the first I heard about the new wave of Harry Potter fans initially being a contradictory cancel culture. All I know about the latter franchise is that there was a huge hate mob that was allegedly representing the trans community that bullied, doxxed and sent death threats against a bunch of content creators, mainly pro-LGBT vtubers, who had scheduled to stream the Hogwarts Legacy game on their channels when it first came out half a year ago. I can only guess that the motive was the same as much back then as it is now; to shame the franchise's original author for her personal views about trans people and attempt a forced boycotting by attacking the consumers of her work regardless of their views on sexual orientations.
It goes to show that there are awful people on both sides of that spectrum, and how they actively makes it harder for people to just get along.
Ok so he didn't even end up mentioning the WORST THING about PragerU (I've known this as a Floridian who is still in the public school system) that their videos are the WORST OF THE WORST propaganda that I've ever seen. You can probably look up some clips of it, but one of the clips is them using a cartoon recreation of Fredrick Douglass to basically tell kids that slavery "wasn't that bad". I am ashamed of my fellow Alabamians behaving in such ways toward Patrick Braxton. This happened in Newbern AL and last I looked into it is still going on. CBS should also be ashamed... he has a name, he is not just "A Black man" ...Let's respect him enough to name him in the headline please.
Are we not going to talk about the irony of Jack bringing up to Kill a mockingbird when it takes place in Alabama?
@@technotrapper Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that was the *reason* he brought it up. Can't be irony in that case. Though I admit I haven't read that book and have only vaguely heard about it so perhaps it's not about what I think it is about.
To be fair, as far as the headline is concerned, the fact that he's black matters a lot more than his name.
@@MrGamelover23 it only matters because racist make it matter. By not naming him in the headline they are themselves perpetuating racism. They could have easily included his name and stated he was black as well.
@@technotrapper to expand on Sylfa's response, Jack's mentioning _To Kill a Mockingbird_ was definitely a "why read a fictional account of this type of situation when you can just witness the situation occurring in real life" sort of comment (though I'll admit also having not read TKaM that I'm just guessing what it's about from the context)

3:28 Fun fact: They actually do check in with their doctors and they are being diagnoses with these conditions (except maybe for autism because they might not go see a psychologist unless the kid is having very serious mental issues).
Second fun fact: The "Study" was just one bloke stating he knew a few amish people and none of them had any of these conditions.
That's literally it. Someone provided a few superficial anecdotes and somehow, people have been touting that as being a "study".
Mind you, I wouldn't actually be surprised if an actual proper study really found amish people to have lower rates of cancer and diabetes due to their anachronistic lifestyle (less sugar, processed foods, a lot of time spent outside and so on) but I very much doubt their incidence for autism differs much if at all. If anything, there's even a chance for it to be higher since there's genetic factors to autism and the amish tend to have higher rates of genetic disorder due to their closed-off lifestyle.

They're raised in a culture which prioritizes tradition and religious values without trivializing expertise and intelligence.

5:35 "You Didn't Build That" hits REAL DIFFERENT now lol.
As a huge fan of Dee Snider he was absolutely never on the Conservative's side. As the post says 'We're Not Gonna Take It' was against those family values and pretty much all Twisted Sister music videos were based around him rebelling against the nuclear family trope. In 2016 Trump wanted to use the song for his campaigns but Dee refused as it opposed what his song stood for and has recently spoken on social media regarding his progressive views. In the 80s he spoke in court against censorship and absolutely wiped the floor with his intelligence.
It's so strange to me, I listen to pretty much all black metal, glam rock, shock rock, new wave and goth rock, all of which PROMINENTLY feature men in things that would be considered more feminine, makeup, long hair, women's clothing, BDSM-esque gear etc. I feel like I see so many people against LGBTQ people and values that absolutely love these genres complaining about 'how men have been feminized', complaining about things those artists are doing now that could be considered feminine in our current society or whatever when the exact same thing has been present in what they listen to since the 70s but they just never acknowledge that.
When Jack complained about the guy talking about the dead fish but making no effort to do anything about it, I got this mental image of him screaming at the news, "Okay, so you're saying there was a robbery, but I don't see you DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT CAMMY!"
In this fiction, the news anchor is called Cammy.

The one thing about politics systems that it lacks that every other part of society has, is an age limit. Naturally by a certain age, you are usually, depending on the job, required to retire at the age of around 60-70. Politicians think they are immune from such by having thrown the concept of such out of the window for themselves, I get that in a sense, it's quite hard to replace people really high up safely without introducing someone who'll compromise the whole system. Besides, There are no humans on this planet who are immortal as far as the majority of us are concerned anyways. And sooner or later, politicians, will be forced to stand down in place of someone else due to encroaching their final days, whether they like it or not.

Our labor protections are dogshit, and many people have to make the choice between having massive medical debt from the american healthcare system, or being able to eat and have a roof over their head that they can pay for with their income. Most would rather be in massive debt than homeless and starving. Most are living paycheck to paycheck. I'm unemployed and on SSI (america's disability benefits) and I don't even make what would be full time minimum wage for an employed person, and I also cannot leave my legal residence for longer than 30 days or I will lose my entire income, which already isn't enough. Not to mention how huge America is. If I was to fly from my closest local airport to Canada, for example, it would probably be around 14 or 15 hours from leaving my home to arriving at my destination, and that's like bare minimum. Could easily be several hours more than that.
Amish kids aren't diagnosed with cancer, diabetes, or autism.
In other news, I must have a butthole because I'm physically incapable of viewing that part of my body to check
Ah yes, running a country, the job where the minimum age requirement is retirement
Ugh, the first one. R.I. P Steve Hartwell :(
Twitter is one of few things that feed on hatred
I spent 2 days in the hospital for reasons I can't really share and total cost was around over 7,000 Dollars without healthcare
And I and my sister had surgery for free here in brazil
@@DIRTkat_ofc wanna trade places

It's things like most of this which makes me think: "Am I ready to die at 37?" I want to run for president and be super corrupt and just veto everything until I get what I want, like better health care, and less military expenses. We don't need billions every year on guns when we could spend billions every year on people. BUT I also don't wanna get assassinated by some big wig medical insurance company or something because I'm going to cut down on profits.
I need a r/nonpoliticaltwitter video after this endless stream of political mudslinging
Does anyone else just grip the their balls and start squeezing them like stress balls
19:40 I hope they left those books where their kids could read them.
Confessing to a crime in writing. And how upset they'll be when they get straddled with all the late fees.
I wouldn’t say that the homosexual promoting Barbie movie claim is mental gymnastics, it’s more that the person belly flopped before getting to the bar of “watched the movie” and slammed their face into the pink man in advertisements and thought “hey that’s kinda gay ngl”
6:30 there were live cameras there, right?
Like, the best evidence to press charges with?
There is some good news about having a ruling class of extremely old people, they are likely to all die in a big wave, like celebrities did in 2015-2017. Thats gonna feel cathartic and open up a lot a LOT of new jobs suddenly.
Not only that, but much more tolerant and inclusive people are gonna be in charge of shit too
3:00 probably because they dont diagnose
The saddest part is I'm more caught up with US politics than Aus politics and I live in Aus.
20:50 did he even listen to "we're not gonna take it"?
6:43 I cannot stop laughing. 🤣 (Also 😭)
Wait wait, Musky is obsessed with outer space and tried for over two decades to rename something he owned to XCOM. What's he trying to tell us?
That he has no creativity.
10 minutes into a 22 minute video, we get our first non-american politics post.
I'm convinced Twitter is the Jester not of social media but of the world
WAIT SHE DIED A YEAR AGO???
When I saw that grave juxtaposed to Checkers', I thought it was in the early 2000's or something
7:38 are there any sources I can read for this? Sounds like a great addition to the reasons I hate trump.
21:51 Not a stretch to compare the refusal to allow a black man to take the office as mayor for which he was elected to To Kill A Mockingbird. Though the town the book was set in, Maycomb, is not a real place, it was a thinly fictionalized version of a real town, Monroeville, Alabama. Patrick Braxton won the mayoral election of Newbern, Alabama in November 2020. Newbern is located a mere 87 miles and three counties from Monroeville.
I'm so glad the UA-camr when dagoon known for making 1-5 hour videos on the most disturbing things ever is on this video for his printer getting disabled 😂😂
If they don't eat artificial sweeteners, you can check someone for diabetes by tasting their pee to see if it tastes sweet.
