Steven Martin Nobody says white guys can’t hoop. Just ask the USA men’s national team that came in 7th place at the world championship. People just don’t expect white guys to have the same kind of bs street ball one on one skills that require you to dribble way too much and unnecessarily in an extremely boring and inefficient way. A few things absent from this video: defense, an assist, a cut, a screen, any evidence of an the kind of authoritative decision it would take to have success in a competitive 5 on 5 organized basketball game. At least the college guys are mostly messing around. In a real game they would still be able to run the floor effectively, get rebounds, and be effective players. The white guys show no evidence of any real ability to do the same. They basically took all the worst habits and inefficient habits of streetball and made that their focus. Meanwhile, how many streetball guys made the NBA (I know of one; Rafer Alston). Do you think Kawuai Leonard was working on his isolation streetball crossovers in order to win the championship last year? These guys are clowns. I would have been impressed if one of these jokers could take one or two authoritative dribbles and then rise to maximum vertical and nail a jump shot; or, if the defensive player stuck to him, he pump faked or dropped it to his teammate cutting. You know ... like real basketball.
