The only confusion I could see from other members who don't understand. The reason you didn't have enough power with one battery, then 2 then 3 but 4 worked was the resistance of the drill after the hack. The only reason it pulled so little power, wasn't because the battery couldn't handle the amperage. It was because the drill needed more voltage with high resistance to get enough amperage to run the drill. The single 12V battery probably has the power if you connected a boost converter capable of the amperage. Great Video and Hack!!!
@@doryempleo9717 it is a series motor,so stator windings and rotor (armature) windings are in series. Total voltage=stator (field) voltage+rotor voltage. power= voltage x current. If you decrease voltage, current increase for the same power. It may lead to increase the diameter of winding wire.

Not a great project. You can't carry 6 batteries with you. Your every thing is good. Try to change the armature winding accordingly so that the resistence is less, but remember I=V/R.
What's that putty bonder you used called?? And do you like the must tool scope meter you were using?, was thinking if geting one! Have the mt8205 good meter but not a proper scopemeter that's for sure...😕

That drilling machine motor is a universal motor,so it can run on both dc and ac. you only need to rewind its coil to 12v.(theoretically 😁)
