    Okay, I've only ever heard the studio version of this song before, and I've always loved it and has certainly been on of my most favourite songs of theirs, but HOLY SHIT I feel like I've only just heard the song as it was meant to be played! WOW, what an experience that must have been, so wonderfully, awesomely heavy. Thanks for letting me discover this with you!

    Did he just spit? Yes.
    And if it was the 80s, you'd see me and a bunch of people fighting to catch the spit with our head before it lands xD
    It was a medal of Honor to be spit at by James in the 80s.

      @@michaelbaldwin8484 Of festivals, this is fourth, but was second to Jean-Michel Jarre in Paris the previous year who got 2 million for Bastille day. Paris is a bit easier to get around than a military airfield outside Moscow, 1.6m was a feat.
      The biggest, that was also concurrent with New Year's Eve on the Copacabana beach... Monsters of Rock was it's own pull.

      @@joeybecker781 Live isn't always better, but not always is the studio version the best. This is one of two songs that come off the album a little flattened, they need the live performance energy. The other's Harvester of Sorrow (where they actually clip the 'crowd play' pause out of the last section and makes it a little awkward)

    Kutulu!!! Metallica loves the Ancient One. First Call of Cthulhu, then this, then Don't Tread On Me, then Dream No More. On their self-titled "Black" album they had the Serpent. I know that it is also American Pride, but Don't Tread On Me is pure Tiamat / Kutulu power.

    Strongly suggest checking out more thrash. I already like the direction you are heading here, doing stuff that no other reaction videos are doing. That said there is a big four controversy, was anyways. To better understand that I suggest checking out Anthrax Among the living album, Indians, Among the Living. Slayer South of Heaven album, South of Heaven, Ghost of War, Spill the blood. Then Testament New order album, Into the pit, Trial by fire, Day of Reckoning. Then Kreator, Terrible Certainty album, No Escape, Terrible Certainty. Sepultura, Beneath the remains album, Dead Embriotic cells. Lastly Forbidden, Forbidden evil album, Chalice of Blood, Forbidden Evil, Eyes of Glass, Follow me. That should spark the questions why only the big four, and then open your mind to some dialog as to why and how we get the big four. Just trying to to music justice bro, like you can't talk about R&B without Cab Calloway, The Harlem Hamfats, Count Basie, Louis Jordan and others. "The term Rhythm & Blues" (R&B).

      @mfree80286 4 роки тому +1

      @@friedrichschopenhauer2900 it was the closing months of the Soviet Union, and the military was doing crowd "control". In actuality none had ever seen anything like this and pockets of them started freaking out at normal metal concert behavior i.e. gate rushing, moshing, etc. and people got popped with truncheons, crushed when the crowd pushed off, etc.
      And then it's also an outdoor concert... you stand a million plus outside anywhere and statistically some people are just going to keel over... let's say EMS weren't exactly rockin' it then and there, you know? Add in any criminal element and you've got your 50, which out of a million is still only 1:20,000 chance of dying there.
      1:20,000... not great, not terrible.
