Lifted since 1988 (sadly not consistently till early 2000s). Have very nice home gym. NO TV allowed. I want loud metal! Also no temp control. Cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Keeps out the riff raff and is my temple of solitude 😂 3 items: Iron Master adjustable DB to 120, Adjustable bench. Pull up bar.
Dream purchases 1. Rhino Functional Trainer with 30” depth 6 post rack 2. Manta-Ray bench 3. Probably like 1200 Lbs of rogue deep dish plates Rogue fan-boy if you couldn’t tell haha 3 things (I have to cheat to make more realistic) 1. Powerblocks 2. Adjustable bench 3. Rower for cardio
Rowers are so underrated. I wish I'd had better experiences with Rogue. At this point, I just won't buy anything from them ever again. I'm prob the minority, but wow could I tell some stories!
I actually think “AYE” is a pretty funny name. I am all for keeping it Dream build stuff: I would go with a Rep Adonis, A full set of American Barbell fixed Dumbbells, and an ATX Roller Belt Squat. If I could only have 3 things: A Functional trainer (Rep Arcadia Max if space isn't an issue. If it is. I'd go with an Anker 7), Rep-Pepins dumbbells, and an adjustable bench.
Training to movies is something I've never done because I cant keep up with the dialogue or story when I'm training and if I could, well I wouldn't be training very hard or anywhere close to optimal so I either had music on or nothing in the background, 90% of the time, had music on. My top 5 Movies to watch to get motivated to train 1. Rocky III 2. Rocky IV 3. Rocky II 4. Pumping Iron 5. Rambo First Blood Take Care
For movie's, I like things with a good soundtrack - Rocky 4 is great. Also, a lot of cheesy action/super hero movies work as you don't need to pay much attention.
3 things - power tower, adjustable dumbbells, FID bench. If you want to cheat, buy and FT2 trainer and bench and you are also pretty much set. Or a Speedience and power tower and bench
If you mean Jacked Up Fitness, I'm gonna pass. They were an orthopedic shoe company that failed (Jacked Up refers to shoes for people with two different length legs). All of their stuff is straight off of AliBaba and the same as a bunch of other cheap companies. They are hella good at marketing, though.
I have the inspire ft2 with the leg attachment and love it. There are 2 other things I would love but can't fit in my gym. A leg press machine and a Commercial stair stepper.
The Freemotion FT is sweet, and they not infrequently show up used for 1/3 or less than new. There are also several budget alternatives (e.g. Titan Nemesis), but they never sem to be reviewed ... hint, hint. As for movies or even music while training, I choose none of the above. That is why I use a Concept 2 rower, instead of those 'video game' rowers like Hydrow. There is a certain 'Zen' to focusing on the movement, the effort, the feel.
The Nemesis looks pretty sweet. I'm still at the stage of buying most of this stuff with my own money, so I don't know that I'll be checking it out any time soon. I'd love something like the Freemotion, though. The older I get, the more things I can think of to use them for! And you, sir, are built very different than I! That's the exact reason I hate the Concept 2. I need all the distraction and motivation I can get!😂
@@GymCrafter Perhaps I am at an advantage since once upon a time, long LONG ago, I was a competitive rower. A PM5 monitor is a Disneyland view compared to the back of the rower in the #7 seat.
@9:33 *Adjusts glasses Uh Tim, the first Christopher Nolan Batman Movie is called “Batman Begins”. “The Dark Knight” is the sequel. It's fine, no one is actually bothered by that. 😆

Yes! But only the first half of FMJ, it's like two different movies mushed into one for me. And yeah, anything Bruce Lee is a solid pick. His book "Striking Thoughts" is one of my favorites. And I love how you think! A swimming pool would be amazing!
Oooooh, and heavy bag incoming into my gym very soon! It's my favorite cardio/conditioning tool of all time. Now that I've cleared out all the budget stuff I finally have room!
@@619.DRIVER Gonna hang it from the ceiling. I've got a really cool idea on how to get it completely out of the way when not in use. Already have all the parts, just need the bag!
After owning reps Black Diamond for a while would you suggest the cerakote or the stainless my main concern is rust and I know rep stainless has had issues in the past
Stainless. Rep hasn't had a problem with their stainless in years. I'm shooting my review of both black diamond and double black diamond today and one of the things I'll point out that I don't like is the Cerakote. My bars both have nicks and chips and scratches and the sleeves look awful. I'll take a ss or hard chrome bar over Cerakote any day of the week.
If your wife says you have to get rid of your gym and can only have 3 things, then I would get a divorce. I would tell her it was nice knowing you and turn the whole house into a gym 😂.
I like the idea that your 1st purchase would be a functional trainer but a Free Motion, I disagree with that brand because it's max feel weight is 75 lbs. (4 to 1 Ratio) and that just isn't enough weight for me. They are great if you dont need much weight though. Coop can get away with it because he is not strong at all especially for him lifting for 10-15 years. He obviously has never trained bodybuilding style. Functional trainer I think is the most important piece in every gym for bodybuilding anyway, not strength training, that would be a rack.

That ATX unit is awesome! I can't wait for them to get to the US. And that's a solid basic 3! I think the Anker line is super underrated.
It's not a movie, but the TV show that gets me pumped like no other is Baki from 2001. The soundtrack is Awesome!
Never heard of it, but I'll check it out.

I totally agree, that's why I haven't put the TV back in the gym.

I really have loved having a leg press. Gonna miss them when I sell the two I have. And that FT2 is making a lot of lists!

I would buy two Voltra 1s and a set of Peppin dumbbells.
If only my wallet would allow me to try the Volta. It seems like a really good solution that replaces a lot of bigger and more bulky gear.

I'd only use it for accessory movements, not prime strength movements. Loaded pull ups and loaded rows beat cable movements all day long for me.
