    🎯💡 Want to perfect your Direct to Film (DTF) printing technique? The secret ingredient might just be 'resolution'. In this video, we demonstrate the significant impact resolution can have on the quality of your DTF prints, emphasizing the importance of using graphics with 300 Pixels Per Inch (PPI) or Dots Per Inch (DPI).
    Web-based graphics are often only 72 PPI, which may look fine on-screen but fail to deliver when printed. With DTF, resolution is crucial. 📉🔍 We compare six images, all five inches in size, but with varying resolutions from 300 DPI to 72 DPI, so you can visibly see the difference it makes in print quality.
    A lower resolution results in grainy, blurry prints with unclear edges and an unwelcome white halo. But don't worry - we're also giving you practical advice on how to ensure your customers provide the correct resolution for their graphics. 📝👥

    Which is the best dpi vs ppi for dtf machine

      300dpi. DPI and PPI are basically the same thing DPI is physical printing, PPI is digital files. I hope that make sense.

    Do we always use width as the determining factor for 2400px for a 8x8 300dpi design? So if I wanted 10x10 and the image is not a "perfect" shape (that would fit neatly in a 10x10 box, what dimension do I use to determine the correct pixel size (hope that makes sense). Image is of a person for example but I want it printed large enough on an adult shirt.

      width is the most common limiting factor on garments which is why we kind of default there. An adult large shirt can handle a graphic that is 9.5-10" wide. Depending on the shape of the graphic you may find this too large. Best practice for making sure your graphic is the right size is take the width you want to print say 9.5 and multiply that by 300 and you'll get 2850 px, then just make sure your graphic is at least that wide. If the graphic is super tall just double check your vertical limitations and make that the measurement you calculate. I hope that makes sense.

    HI,
    How do I know if white subfloor should look like. How do you imagine that there is a test document for that?

    • @DTFSuperstore
      @DTFSuperstore  3 місяці тому

      the white underbase should look even and consistent, maybe lighter behind darker colors and when cured should have an orange peel texture to it. Not really any kind of test document for this.

    Hi, I discovered you by watching your videos on UA-cam. I have an Epson L1800 printer converted to DTF, to print only white logos on a black t-shirt, can I get excellent results by printing the white isotro at 1440x720 or should I print the white at 1440x1440?

      @DTFSuperstore  3 місяці тому

      If you get good results the lower resolution likely will print faster.
