If only a lot of characters were good on this roster. I feel like the fact that 10% of the roster just runs this game was the only glaring flaw in an otherwise amazing game.

Imagine that the only thing you play is the absolute most broken shit in the game and then despite everything you're doing to stack the deck in your favor, you lose to venom, ken, Ruby Heart
TBF he has lost more than you might think. Though I don't think Ruby synercgizes so well with Ken, unlike Venom, with the Web Hyper Combo Attack.
That or maybe use one of her other Supers, since I don't see him doing a lot of damage with her Super consistently.
@@TheAyanamiRei I think Ken is the "Synchronizer" because his tatsu assist judging by what i see can also combo into Ruby's Ship(Super) if timed right.

Ruby Heart is a lot like May. She's a pirate, she's got the anchor, a fancy maritime hat, and a rushing special (just a ball of flame instead of TOTSUGEKI).

Your chaining as Ruby against his Sentinel was amazing.
Sentinel, Magneto, and cable can make this a boring game to watch. Justin playing low tiers is the exact opposite and all I want to do is play this game some more

Attached to a mediocre character overall. Unlike Psylocke's whos assist is FANTASTIC on top of her being a fantastic character.

Really intense watching you fight with low tier against high tier teams. Just amazing
Venom is one of my favorite characters in the series, unfortunately in MvC2 he got seriously lost in the shuffle, he used to be a strong rushdown character with great pressure in Marvel 1, but because the screen was widened and Marvel 2 heavily favors spacing and zoning he got shafted hard, not to mention the change in how normal moves work hasn't helped him either.
Yeah I remember venom was tough on mvc...good explanation of why he's lost in the shuffle. Wish they'd have adjusted him for this game....but do you mean change how normals work?

I remember playing this game in the arcade years ago. My team was always some variation of Ken, Psylocke, Silver Samurai, and Venom. 😊
You know you're low tier when your opponent holds north 100% of the time, you know they are, and there is still very little you can do about it.

@@inorris609 No. That's not what I mean. You can triangle dash or triangle jump, whatever you want to call it with Venom, similar to what you can perform with Magneto or Storm. Jump + Airdash Diagnoly + LK.
@@thefrankiepalmeri Venom does NOT have an 8 way air dash. He does a web swing forward as his air dash.
@@MalikEmmanuel I never said it was 8 way. You CAN absolutely airdash downward with Venom, which is similar to Magneto or Storm.

I remember discovering that Ken's Shinryuken is completely invincible to all attacks and supers as it travels upwards. I still have not found an attack that can hit through it. MvC2: Ken Shinryuken Invincibility pt 1 - UA-cam

Ken's shoryuken assist has always been my favorite assist. I may be wrong but it feels more invincible than other invincible assists, not sure if that makes sense. The amount of hyper combos I've shut down with it vs any other assist in game feels really high. But I suppose it could just be confirmation bias. At any rate, I've always considered it my "secret weapon" of sorts, since no one else would ever use it and it always did well for me.
You are not wrong. Ken's assist has the highest priority in the game.

ALSO: I feel like Ruby is basically holding back Ken & Ryu since you seem to do well consistently with both of them, compared to more variable with Ruby.

Crazy how stupidly fun venom looks in mvc2, his design is amazing he has so much identity and charm to his moves. Even the palettes are cool, even though I like his default the most.

Justin the way to play venom is through his command grab like mvc1.. you can super of it or even infinite of it. In mvc1 he has an air to ground infinite. I don't know if mvc2 has it but you can check it out. It will up that venoms play.

Justin do you prefer the assist style of MVC2 over Marvel vs Street Fighter's more restricted approach? I personally see the assists (aside from projectiles) in MVSF as nearly useless but I'd love the opinion of an expert.
I must say the music actually aged really well in MVC2. When it came out, it was not received that well from my memory.
