@@AllThingsPJ It's true, it has zero effect. You basically just nuke your nose with a different smell, you don't neutralise it. Demachy is even known to not eat and especially not drink coffee, before he finished his work in the morning, because he said it impairs his ability to smell
To me I don't think there's much of a difference in the smell on skin in the smell on... The biggest difference is smelling the paper up close to your nose, and smelling it on someone in passing and catching the whiff of the sillage. I've smelled plenty of fragrances that I've owned on other people, and didn't recognize the fragrance.

I work at MFK in London, try using coffee beans in-between taking in scents in order to not conflate fragrances and go nose blind
That's actually a myth. You just need to walk out and take in some fresh air.

You should keep your fragrences in a cold dark place, I know people that have mini fridges for their bottles and I would really recommend it.
