Honestly....this. I signed up for an 8k once, not realizing until the day before that it starts at 7am and it's below freezing outside. I did it anyways cuz I paid $$ for it, was back at 9am and felt so accomplished the whole day. With that said, I still prefer to start my day at 9am tho, lol.

Depends how long the run is, you can be hitting a mile and switch the pace up a bit in between to get your heart rate up and you will be saving time and energy both. 5 mile runs every day are crazy unless and until you are into mma or want to compete in any endurance driven sport. I believe we can use that energy to do something that can actually make us some money.

    • @clivenazareth7069
      @clivenazareth7069 14 днів тому +7

As a runner, 5 mile speed work runs daily are just bad for your legs. Do longer runs every other day and let your legs recover between days.
Especially if you’re doing speed work - you need to let your legs recover as you need to heal your muscles.
Coming from someone who tried to do a 5 mile race pace session a day after intervals, resting and switching to swimming on alternative days will make you a stronger runner

Awesome video bro, I follow you for more than two years. I was really fat when I started following you, first year I just followed for your fun and engaging content but then I also started working on myself. It's the best decision of my life. I dropped almost 100lbs in 2024. I didn't set any timetable goal or anything, I just started to live clean. I started my morning routine with warm lemonade, fast walking for 30 mins, and I eat healthy breakfast and drink green tea. After few months I started making 8k steps per day, and I drink at least 14 glasses of water. Exercise and meal plan are the most important , I took my meal plan from website OnlyMeal and I was strict with meals. I had only 1 cheat meal per 10 days. I exercised 3 times per week at the gym as well. That's it, happy new year!

I'm from Egypt, and the sun makes so much difference, I traveled recently and it was so depressing not having sunlight, it's the best morning when curtains are open and the warm sun wakes me up in the cold indoors since we don't have heaters in houses. it makes me feel so alive and full of energy, whenever I'm feeling down I will go out and just stand in the wind, sun shines on me warms me up, sky is so blue because there's no clouds, so nice🥰

If youre cutting you can probably eat something small or just fast through the workout with a coffee or preworkout. Also like Will mentioned the gym is dead in the morning. So true the ending, do it your way. A couple things I have found helpful (but wouldn’t work for everyone) I do love having the curtain open when I sleep (and no one can see in) I still wake up at 7am even though the sun rises earlier, I feel more refreshed, and even sleeping with the window slightly open. And going to sleep at the same time each night, really helps me. I think its too easy to push back sleep, but if I wake up in the morning feeling awful because I went to sleep at 2am it makes my day so sluggish

I think some people take the "cold shower" part too literally by _only_ showering cold.
The trick is to shower like usual with warm/hot water and only finish the shower off with cold water.
That's because warm/hot water is way better at cleaning the skin/opening up the pores, it helps relax muscles/joints that might have tensed up during sleep. While cold water is pretty bad for cleaning skin, it closes up the pores and it tenses up the muscles/body.
But with "contrast showering" you get the best of both worlds: You can still be a bit sleepy during the warm/hot and washing parts, and then finish the shower off by going to the coldest setting to "shock" yourself awake and close up all your skin pores.
It's how I've been showering for over 20 years to start off my days awake without having to rely on coffee.

Not to mention most people make the mistake of turning on the shower, putting it completely to cold and then try get under the water. Thats how you get discouraged from doing cold showers.
Instead, one should get into the shower with no water on. Grab the shower head, turn it on and start by getting your extremities wet. I usually do legs and arms and then Im ready for a full cold shower at which point I place the shower head back.
Crucial note, a cold shower doesnt mean nor need the nozzle to be fully turned to cold. That usually means freezing, waterfall cold water. You should be aiming to have it cold enough where you dont feel warm water anymore. Once you get used to that, then you can play around with colder temperatures.

I start with a warm shower, wash off, and then gradually turn it down while having the cold water primarily hit the back of my head and just sit there for like 2-3 minutes, it's almost like a short term meditation session because I focus on breathing with the cold water on my head.

Cold shower and straight getting into hypothermia run, what a wonderful morning routine

  • @-7070
    @-7070 16 днів тому +80

I promise you the majority of people that live to 100 or are wealthy did not achieve that because of wild morning routines. It's generally the lack of stress by having the freedom to do whatever they want, including having the time to make up ridiculous morning routines. Not to mention at least half of these people are definitely lying about it
If anything adding a bunch of wild routines that you think you need and have to do for business or life achievement will likely kill you faster from the stress it causes. Be healthy, stay active and do what makes you happy to the best of your ability every day, that'll work out a lot better

Well when you've got people cooking you breakfast, doing your laundry, walking your dog, organising your diary, and driving you places - then you'll have plenty of time to indulge in whatever nonsense your nutritionist, PT, and wellness expert can cook up.

Yes!!! Seems like everyone is pushing this go and grind attitude and do tons of things in the morning and while I see the productivity side of it, for me personally, it gives stress and burnout if I have a lot to do in the morning. Sleep is the most important then movement of any kind that you enjoy and works for your body and good nutrition that you also enjoy and is on the healthy side. If we look at the mediterranean countries they walk a lot, eat good quality food and have communities around them. You don't need crazy 100 steps routines.

Yeah I was waiting for this comment. My grandma lived to an age I seriously doubt Jeff Bezos will achieve she died at 101. Good luck thinking the “key to longevity” is these routines. At 92 she was walking our dog and planting tomatoes in the backyard lmao.

At 18:34 I was reading the list and realize I've found a path similar to that when I was living in my vehicle in Houston back in 2019-2020
    1) Wake up on the sunshine of the day, sleeping in my old Jaguar was comfortable, double laminated glasses keep every noise out
    2) Sting "Brand new day" and "Fill her up" for my alarm made my mood up
    3) Straight to the Gym for working out, I love it (5 days per week at least!)
    4) Sauna and Cold shower, oh yeah (too bad my long hair need so long for shampoo, guy girls dig it)
    5) Grab a the or coffee before heading to the restaurant for working
    6) Garlic bread addiction (I know, that sucks, but it's italiaaaan, so automatically it's good for your health and will make you live up to 105 y.o.)
    7) run 3-4 miles at the restaurant because I was a bad server and lunch rush was crazy (good tips also 'cause people loved my italian accent, lol)
    8) Pomodoro, yes that means tomato. I write down everything, regardless
    9) early morning workout, check
    10) more garlic bread and chicken alfredo
    11) Sorry I don't dance. But I love karaokee
Man, I want my old life back, I need to go back to US asap

Had a job in high school at 4:30 am. Was son of owners. Didn’t have to. 90 min on Monday W, F,S, 60 min on Tuesday and Thursday. $28.80 a week. I thought it was about the pay. Now looking back at age 70, wasn’t about the pay at all. Worked with one father of 3 daughters. No, I didn’t marry any. He’s long gone now but was like an additional father. What I learned is how much can get done being up early. At 22, I went on my own and since I wanted more income, I started working 2-3 shifts. Self employed. Loved work. Amazing how the clock ran my life. Now I run the clock and do things I want. Ran 8,500
sprints 100 yarders last year. Got to 11th grade weight. Not giving up. Goal 10,000. Got part time job so the frequency slowed. Morning and night. Some days I closed the park at 10 pm and opened at 6 am. Guy there saw me both times and asked had I been there all night. lol

I'm Italian. I love how you pronounce Italian names. It s cute and funny. Also three italian espressos are half of the coffee you had. I LOVE coffee but three in a row sounds absolutely crazy. I suffer from anxiety and tolerate just one in the morning with breakfast and one after lunch. Personally I totally agree with you. I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect morning routine to be productive. From my experience it can be way simpler than this. I just have breakfast, pray, meditate, do my skincare and then walk my dog

@@andrewzach1921so I don’t take cold showers in the morning. A simple splash of cold water on your face does the trick. Now what I do is go to the gym at night, after a long stressful day, I will go to the steam sauna and sit in it as long as I can, immediately take a cold shower, go back into the steam sauna, I do this repeatedly for typically 30 minutes. I’ve gone as long as an hour now. This I can tell gives me insane health benefits. I breathe better, I sleep better, I wake up better, I FEEL BETTER
