Great overview of the Humphrey's Smoker! Very detailed! Thank you! Couple of notes: The dark spots on the back are welds. We weld the cook chamber to chimney. This gives it extreme strength. Secondly, about our fire rating, our insurance company recommends we go to 450 max on the standard units. This is simply because of grease flash points. Out smokers can run hotter than that, but if it is loaded with grease even just on the wall, it can naturally combust and you would have a bigger issue. The heat diverter may also flex, but as far as the smoker itself, no worries there.

I've had the Humphrey's Pint for a few years now and it is amazing. Holds temperatures overnight for 13+ hours without issue. Built like a tank and they offer incredible customer service. Lot's of well thought out options. I had it shipped all the way to CA and it was crated incredibly well. It was expensive and several friends think I'm crazy; though they all think its very cool and love the food. I'm still convinced it's a great, well built product that performs fantastic. I'm happy every time I load her up and my BBQ results have never been better.
Cool video comparing all these models.

I have the titan reverse flow vertical smoker.. The dampers are built into the ash pan so you have to open the fire box door to adjust the dampers. I closed off the bottom and put a 2" ball valve in the door. It works great now. I even emailed the company and told them how horrible of a design the damper ash pan fire grate combo was. They refunded me a little money back. Great video with a lot of options.

No Pitmaker Vault or Safe accounted for? Nice pits, top-notch builds. Pitmaker competes in BBQ tournaments with their pits and wins competitions. Good custom shop in Houston area.

What are your thoughts between vertical smoker and these reverse smoke smokers?
I love the gravity feed, don't worry about refilling. A lot of time the gravity has WiFi, digital temps.
I like these reverse where you can put on chucks for more smoke.
Wondering which is best over all?

I am a fan of gravity feed personally.

I've got a Backwoods Chubby 3400. The smoker itself is great but the gaskets are absolute trash. I'm on my second set in just over 2 years and they are pretty much crunchy and useless already. Wouldn't be a big deal if they didn't cost 50 bucks to replace. Makes it pretty tough to control the airflow when the door to the firebox won't seal up tight. Even tried to make a tadpole gasket work but that was a no go. For 900 bucks I expected it to be a little more durable. The built in thermometer is also consistently 40 degrees lower than the actual temp.

Yeah on the 3400 you basically have to buy a Tel-Tru thermometer

Nice video, Smoke Master D! Just curious, what are your opinions regarding a Lone Star Grillz IVS vs a Pitmaker Vault vs a Stump's Gravity Fed? Which one would you say is the easiest to operate and which one do you think makes the best bbq? Thank you for any feedback!

I don't know if I am actually qualified to answer that. I like gravity feed. But the actual cabinet smoker I am hoping is in my future is the 270. That said, I 'm not entirely sure about performance, though. Good luck 👍

I know some have mixed feelings about you reviewing cookers that you haven't used.
Overall I do like seeing all the different options available and some of these companies I didn't know existed until I seen them on your videos.
The price points, dimensions and logistics do cut out a lot of googling alone.
How is your Bell Fab pit holding up?

Doing alright. Actually putting a back door on the firebox. Hope to get a video out on that. Definitely not an easy task for me, but I'm giving it my best shot. Thanks for watching.

@@SmokeMasterD Best of luck with it and I look forward to seeing the vid.
Since you posted cabinet smokers I wanted to share this Big Wood Double Stack video with you as you don't see too many reviews online.

I have seen them, certainly, but I can’t recall including them in an episode yet. They may warrant further exploration.

Todd answered me on an email. He wrote “Unfortunate at this time, I’m unable to accept new requests. I’ve been dealing with soaring metal prices, supply chain problems and labor shortage.”
So what do you recommend between a Chubby 3400 & the Bigwoods? I don’t fully understand the significance of all the various statistics.

I first found your channel when you first got the belfab pit. I think you should stick to real first hand pit experience or just posting cooks in your pit. I don't think "reviewing" pits you have never used is the formula.

Thanks for your feedback. I may give up the reviews at some point, and I do intend to do some more episodes with the belfab soon. Cheers
