- In this new series, I take a deep dive into the minds and motors of the car community. I find the coolest, quirkiest and craziest cars that the UK has to offer, then interview the owner and find out what drives their automotive passion.
If you want to get involved, or would like your car featured on the channel, then comment on this video or DM me on Instagram (usuallybrokencars).

In my early 50's, owned a Granada or two, from a 2.0L to a 2.8i Ghia X, Stuff the purists James, the Merc wheels looked great as did the ride height. really cool motor.
This ☝️. Man knows 👌
Had so much fun doing this. Wasn’t sure about spending that much time in front of the camera but you made me fell very comfortable.
Your very welcome mate! The Car is now solidified on UA-cam for the rest of history and the world to see!
What a wagon! I know how much time, money and effort has gone into this and it really is a reflection of James’ attention to detail 👌🏼 Great video, great location too, really enjoyed watching it and look forward to some more content like this.
It really is! I look forward to getting the truck on mate!
@@usuallybrokencarsah yeah man, that would be cool if you didn’t mind 🤘🏼
@SamT89 you get it on the road and we will get a video done on it!
Great idea
Thank you
Love it, everyone has a story about what they like or what they’re trying to achieve. BIG YES 👍🏻
Thanks Gav, appreciate the kind words!
Great idea
Thank you! Cheers!
My late father had one of these in the 80's, a black saloon. So many fond memories of riding around in that, it brings back all those great memories every time I see this car at cars and coffee. Thanks James for keeping such a great car on the road, as Mikey said it's even better in person than it looks on video.👍
Thanks for sharing mate! Love to hear about things like this
Love this car! Such a dreamboat!
It was so comfy!
Lovely cars dont worry about the purists your example is smashing owned a couple of mk 1s and mk 2 pre face lift would love to go back there 👍
Fingers crossed! I would love to see some more classics on the road!
Hello everyone I am from Russia and we have a whole Granada club, and I am the owner of a sedan, tell me where you can find spare parts from England, please drop the spare parts sites, I will be very grateful
That's great to hear Russia have a club! I will get the owner to put the information on a comment
Hi I’ve just kept an eye for stuff that comes up in the groups on Facebook to be honest. There is plenty of Facebook groups just for Granadas
@@jamesellis342 thanks for the help
Love this idea, flows very naturally and the shooting/editing is superb. I’d be well up for this if you run out of volunteers and want to feature the Challenger 👍
Lovely comments mate, thank you 😊. Charger would be a great view
It’s a great looking car, especially with those wheels! These Granada’s remind me of our Aussie XD Falcon from down under in terms of styling
I'm sure it probably shared a platform! I think it's such a shame the UK didn't get more of the aussie stuff
Great video, well done chap.
Thanks
Interesting video Mikey, nice to hear stories coming from other as someone who also chews peoples ears off about my own cars lol…..agree with James 100% on the stance word 😂. Great idea for a long series knowing the people that you do 👊….ps also the hat is awesome 😜
Correct the hat is awesome mate! And I like to think I know some guys with some American muscle 💪
Lovely episode, had two of these in the 70s. Would have liked a bit more filming of the car itself..
Thank you for the feedback I will definitely do some more for the future videos in the series
Cracking addition to the channel! This is not a car I’m familiar with so was cool to hear to info on it. Look forward to the next one 🤙🏼
Thanks for the kind words mate 👍
For this cars great value I really would have gone to the trouble of having a set of Ford wheel centres made.
Meh, I like the audacity of the amg!
Bruh, let your guests speak ffs, the constant cutting in is painful.
Thanks' for the constructive criticism, whilst this is my first attempt at anything like this, I will take this on board.......Bruh
A. Love the hat
B. Great video. Really interesting, nicely shot.
A. It's a great hat!
B. Can't wait to get you on the channel!
Is it a 2.8 GL? Nice looking car. I’ve got a 2.8 Ghia X estate.
I'm not sure, I know it has electric windows all round?
Perfect vehicle if you got animals to put in the back
It really is or if you want to move a grand piano!
Nice to see such an uncommon common car.
You just don't see it anymore.
Last week I drove by a mk1 fiesta, so nice...
Cool! I haven't seen a mk1 for a while.
@@usuallybrokencars I recognize them from a mile, we had one from 1984 till 1997.
Very spacious, with 2 adults and 3 kids in the back lugging a trailer tent through the mountains, in a blue Ford fiesta Bravo 1.1....
Lovely car. Great content. Very late brake show esc.
Ahhh cool, thank you. Mr Smith is definitely a big influence on my content
❤ I like big trunks and I cannot lie
what a weapon
You other brothers can't deny
So Mike is now interested in old UK spec cars - and James is looking to possibly sell his old UK spec car......seems a simple solution lays ahead... 🙂
Yes...... just one problem...... 6 other cars ......
Wife says no more room for more cars!! 🙈
@@ClaireFrancis-t7e 🤣
Very cool. Don't think I've ever seen 1.
I don't think I had until James's
I have a mk1 granada 3.0 Ghia its a bit rough body wise but I just love driving it I've put about 3k miles on it since I bought it out of a barn it was hinding in since 1984. Oh and I'm only 21 years old too.
Good on you young man! Its will be a minter like this one soon enough!
What a cool video! Great editing 👌🏻
Thanks so much!!
Great video! The new microphones have made all the difference. I loved that this one still unintentionally featured a dog 😂.
Yes..... the gents was ever so kind to walk in front of the camera!
Very nice motor but a bit thirsty i bet
Like we said in the video, smiles per gallon 👌
Love that car I've had 4 Granada's can't beat them
It's certainly a beautiful machine
Awesome video. Love this car, a real head turner cherished by its owner.
Glad you enjoyed it
Enjoyed that, great motor and such a clean example! Takes a lot of effort for that cant be understated!
Couldn't agree more!
Great series of videos, look forward to more. Agree 💯 about the way it sits. On those wheels 👌
More to come! I love the "stance but not stance"
With all due respect
It is quite ironic to call a Granada 2.8 a muscle wagon,
Unfortunately, there is not much muscle in a 2.8 The 3.0 Essex V6 is much more muscle than the 2.8 although only a few horses separate them. 2.8 135hp 3.0 138hp.
I agree to an extent, however name another British Market 80s estate with a big v6?
@@usuallybrokencars I can't think of any at the moment.
But the Granada is a German-made car which, correctly enough, is also called Consul in England. I can call a Granada a muscle car, but not a muscle engine. I've had a lot of them, so I have a lot of experience.
The Granada 2.8i Ghia with automatic was an exceptionally thirsty engine and not particularly vigorous. I drove a 1977 2.8i Ghia where I was challenged by a 1975 3.0 GL Automat. I didn't stand a single chance against him. I had 160hp at my disposal against 138hp. It didn't help much. English 3.0 Essex V6 was impressively vigorous.
Absolutely love these, what a car 👌
It's a beaut! ain't it ?
Cracking idea for a series mate, very cool, very clean car James 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
i wasn't sure to start with, i hope you keep making these tho
Thank you
It's not a wagon. It's British, which means it's an estate
Or maybe even a touring?
@@usuallybrokencars touring, to me is European
@@jeremycanning8934 fair enough
agreed
This is a great new idea! Also I've been a long time fan of that Grenada wagon. The lines are just so pleasing.
Would be awesome to get the truck on mate! The straight lines of the car are really striking!
@usuallybrokencars happy to do it with the truck. Just needs a week's notice to get it cleaned up.
@Fielder5757 let's have it dirty mate 🤩
@@usuallybrokencars quick trip to Woburn first to get it muddy?
You want the 360?
Yeah obviously lol 😆
Great idea
Thank you
Cozzeh alloys
