trail dogs are amazing. i was up at my local trails the other day riding behind someone with two trail dogs and the dogs were pretty much circling me and their owner as we're flying down this jump trail. they add so much flavor to riding, which is already a super engaging sport.
@@halohm3130 lol exactly. for some dogs, daily walks aren't enough to get their energy out. some dogs like aussies and huskies need to get out an run for hours
I hope your backs getting better! Love your videos as well, they inspired me to start mountain biking and now I can’t stop I love it so much! Thank you! :D
I wish I had Clay I don’t have a hose that can reach where I’m building trails so I have to bring two buckets down just to be able to dig because it’s to dry
I've spent so many times waiting at that same ferry terminal at 1:12 ! It's fantastic seeing things I haven't gotten to see since leaving the coast years ago. Keep up the fantastic content
I have some good advise for your sore back Eric. Find a pull-up bar or something similar to hang on to. Next grip the bar and just hang your body weight relaxed, resist the urge to fight the odd feeling of the discs in your spine expanding. Repeat doing this until your back relaxes, then twist your torso while hanging left and right. This will correct any alignment issues you may have. I do this every day cuz I too have a bad back form many years of abuse, and after I do this I feel like a new man. I hope this helps you as well bud :-)
Hello i was working on back yard trails with my friends and the same thing happened to me but more extreme. I pulled by back and poped my rib out of place and was unaligned in the hips. The pain was unbelievable. I did so much shoveling when it happen. I went to a chiropractor and they fixed me all up. Ya gotta learn to take it EZ. Stay safe out there guys
I feel your pain! I've been dealing with some really shitty back problems for the last 8 months from work and riding. What I found really helped was doing core strengthening. Just using the muscles in your back and core in a healthy way, like doing planks and sit ups really relieved a ton of tension in my lower back. I never expected to have bad back pain in my early 20s but it goes to show what happens when you let your core strength go and couple that with bad lifting techniques and hazardous sports! Hope you feel better dude.
This is amazing single-track, I wish this is where I was going today/I lived near BC! We have Hydrocut here, the biggest in the area, but no downhill like this! I used this video to get amped for my ride today :D
Has to be one of the best mtb channels about just now (apart from mine lol) Not a lot of advertisement, constant laughing or pointless talk..Just solid mtb content ..
Bc POV you should come check out the trail that me and my friends made its in Sechelt on mason rd right across from the botanical gardens. It has sick and fun jumps
Also another place to check out is angwin ca if you go to angwin airport their is tons out trails in losposadas We have more than like 100 acres of land out their owned by forestry and PUC but still good place to go out to and ride at
Love the case pads. I'm not a big jumper but want to get better at it. So I wish more places had those for those of us push our limits as a safety net. For now sticking with mainly tables.
Love seeing a new video from you because I know Yuka will have uploaded as well (Yes I am going to comment the same thing on Yuka’s video and switch the names around) 😁👍🏼
Next time your in California, go to San Diego. I recomend the PQ reserve cause it has a mix of about everything. the trail called tunnel 4 is now only downhill and it is called tunnel 4 because the trees make verry dense tunnels. you have to bike up to come down. there is also a trail i dont know the name to that has some fun but short jumps. I also recomend doing black mountain. it is a hard climb but it is worth it. me and my family calls the PQ reserve the canyons cause it is basicaly a canyon. my favorite trails are that jump trail, tunnel 4, cobble shits (a trail that is full of fun and steep switch backs) and cobbles. these trails are all in san diego in Southern California.
It's like having a partial tabletop jump. it means that even if you do case, it won't be catastrophic, you'll just have a bit of a rough landing instead of dead stopping and maybe breaking the bike and/or the landing.
Eric, as a long time sufferer of back pain, I suggest you visit a chiropractor and get a sheet of exercises to keep your back in top shape. I could not have kept working without those. Good luck and I feel your pain.
Take some Advil and research some ab exercises for back spasms. I've had issues with back spasms for years until I went to physical therapy and learned a ton of good stuff. Some was nerve impingements in my neck but most was bad ab coordination and posture. Back feels great these days. Don't forget the Advil!
Good video as usual , and i hope your back is doing better. I had a very good back and without thinking kind of abused it, as in not being careful. In 2000 i had a separation and its never been the same since. I'm careful now though lol. Backs are complicated and i have no idea what's happenning with yours, but please do yourself a favour and do some preventive medicine, whether that be stretching , yoga, or what really works for me , just walking for 2 to 3 kms at a time, hiking. Don't ignore it or it might end up cutting in to your mtb time. As always, keep up the good work, always good to see your video's.
U need to see a Masseuse I have back problems especially when I ride for too long !! That will help to take the knots outta your back ! Cheers keep u the great content ..
Love the building series btw!
Man, having a traildog is so cool!
Ikr!
My dog is only a house dog so she only play inside

BCPOV I started watching you a year ago and now my whole family is watching...thank you for being amazing
Everybody: *thinking about MTB*
Me: damn that dog fast
EXACTLY hahaha, that dog was so damn well trained as a traildog, waiting to get along after the owner passed by after he cut the turn short!
Fast and smart... knows the cheater lines.
duuuude my dog is so sick she does this with me

Mountain biking is so fun 😁😁
Hope your back feels better man. Nice riding by the way.
Loving the trail build series! Keep up the good work!
Your trail is my dream. I cant build without a digger because of the massive chunks of clay.
I wish I had Clay I don’t have a hose that can reach where I’m building trails so I have to bring two buckets down just to be able to dig because it’s to dry
But I wish I was there to
Use a pickaxe thus should Work i habe hard Clay too and IT works
We all wish we were there, I build some of my stuff in a meadow and that requires constant maintenance
Ibims1 Alfa thx for the tip! I’ll try it
HELL YEAH! Coast gang. Its kind of surreal seeing us on a youtube video lol.

Me and my friends in year 6 just built a sick gap and drop trail with a few tech features at the end it’s called the black widow
2:59 me too man, me too

That drop certainly looks fun!
These trails look so dreamy. I love lower angle trails where you don't have to touch your brakes but you still fly down the trail by pumping

Eric you should come back to Colorado and ride a black trail called Mule. It is off of Mt Herman road in Monument, colorado
When you said Sunshine Coast I thought you meant the Australian Sunshine Coast
11:07 They took the log out? That was what made that drop more challenging, sucks to see it go.
U should come to Nanaimo and ride the trails at dumont and mount benson
