I’ve never realized till now that Kreisberg looks like Buzz Lightyear
I will never ever ever be able to unsee this
not ryan gosling?
johan eugen bbte f t to fat
He reminds me a bit of actor Mark Moses, who played Lieutenant Wolfe in 'Platoon' and Herman 'Duck Phillips' in Mad Men.
@@Johaneeeek not David Arquette?
That whole band is cooking!!! The drummer is listening and pushing the soloists to the next level.
His face like "man these lines are lit " mixed with "nailed it!"
Never get tired of Kreisberg’s tone.
Wow... Such clarity in his playing
Kyle Barnett there is something very special about his playing.
What a joy to watch musicians smiling and enjoying themselves. So good and inspirational!
AHHHH....yes.....and Jonathan Kreisberg continuously succumbs to the "jazz face".... and it sounds so VERY excellent! And Colin Stranahan...he has the "I'm LOCKED in the POCKET in MANY METERS I ROCK IT face"... Matt Clohesy has the "I don't WALK, I RIDE face"... Martin Bejerano "I PLAY OUTSIDE OF THE FRAME".... 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
😂😂😂😂 HHHHHHHHHHa!
This drummer is fire
They all are!
Colin is a BEAST
This video has been blowing my mind for years now, I can't wait to see him play again once I get back to NY
Killer set. Still can’t unsee Andy Kaufman as Kreisberg.
Martin Bejerano!!
Perfect solo by Jonathan
Man this drummer...wow
He have a good groove 😎🎶🌺
Most expressive and brilliant version of "The Song Is You" I've ever heard!! JK brings out such great nuances of the tune. Equally exquisite piano solo, and fantastic trading 4s by the rhythm section.
I have not listened to much of him. Seeing him here shows me he means every note and am looking forward to hearing more. Excellent playing! Thanks for posting.
I really enjoy Jonathan’s playing. I have the same guitar (mine is a 1962) and amplifier. His playing reminds me of my early favorite guitarist, Barney Kessel.
Yeah! And that's it! 👏👏👏👏👏
Hugely enjoyable. Great solos from Jonathan and Peter. Wow.
AMAZING...how they could all play over a 10 min. drum solo ;-]
Que hermoso es el jazz
very good piano player !
Total Beast!
Just the way he drops in ...
stunning‼️
Superb Jonathan...as Always!!
what is this song ?
"The Song Is You"
Yeah, but what's the song? #whosonfirst
Hello team of Elite Music Mentor, greetings from Instagram, great concert of Jonathan Krisberg, great channel
colin has that lazy energy that all the best drummers have
SWAG!
Every time I see a left handed drummer, I think he is better than me.
That was awesome! perhaps some of you might enjoy an a cappella version of this same song: The Song is You - Rhett Roberts - a cappella version
Killing!!!
Great jazz player. Im a fan
Te amo reyyyy
yeah man
Hot music!
A drummer who can scratch his head and look at himself in the mirror while he's playing....very cool!
Cool, I didn't know, Ash could play guitar so well
MOP BOP
Wow that’s a lot of notes right there.
I really enjoyed this, loved the guitar players lines, and the bass players eyes looking like a cat:)
Colin is so good that he can spare a few seconds fixing his hair in the mirror while keeping time
tune?
The Song Is You
I love JK's "Game Face" when he's playing
1:48 - 1:51 booger time
He almost ate it
Also, if you're familiar with the other video of JK playing The song is you on youtube: You'll notice that there's at least 6 points in this solo where he uses the exact same phrases note for note. Can we really say this is true improvisation or is it the result of muscle memory with some narrative in-between?
What’s your point
@@MegaROGERWATERS The point is, It's not organic/ honest improvising
@@kevinhenderson9841 Most lines are transcribed and worked out in the practice room. The best “improvisers” aren’t doing true improvisation as you described it
@@MegaROGERWATERS not true, the best improvisers are truly improvising. Lines that they have practiced will come up naturally. But in 2 separate solos starting with the EXACT same line that lasts 8 bars or so.
Starting with a pre conceived idea is not improvising
1:02
1:03
They are playing some notes they can find under their fingers. No melody, no structure nothing but chaos.
Cooking
JK!!
Drummer getting g in the way...
Can listen but not watch.
Agreed, his facial expressions are so annoying hahaha
The drummer was sooo overwhelming during the entire song and didnt let the pianist express his ideas yet his solos didnt swing or make any sense at all.
Whattt???? Can you do a vidéo of you're self playing the drums on UA-cam to show us your talent . Colin is à great great drummer clean playing too
that has to do more with the mix than the playing. colin stranahan is amazing.
@@metothemoon1227 The can-you-do-it-better response is very school yard and not valid. You don't have to be a ballet dancer to be a ballet critic. Same goes for jazz.
@@benjaminmillermusic Yup.
@Moponi 👍 agreed With you . Jazz is so complexe and open . Their à lots of possibility ' no limits . My drums teacher say to may that the best school for musicians is the hear. Sometimes some drummer are very very good technicly but not that good with hear . Not judging
The pianist needs to learn the language
Wow. Just chops.Amazing. And the drummer had little to say about it. Jazz is supposed to be irony and depth. None of that here. Just chops. Hashtag Berklee.
I like the left handed drummer. Smooth and confident.
what a great response to the end of Kreisberg solo.
damn transcription !!!
don't let someone else do it for you
My boyfriend thinks this video is pretty sick ❤️
using the same pick up into the solo as the other take of "The song is you" feat. David Kikoski, what do yous think of that?
kreisberg is great... but it's clear there's a reason why all his lines sound so perfecto and we've heard them all before. But hey, it works for him!
Dig that NOSE PICKING at 1:34, guy is laying it down, mining for nuggets.
Colin Stranahan,si....!!!!!!
Como hace multitasking mientras se saca los mocos y reajusta el clutch del hihat :D
right?
absolutely incredible drumer
His articulation at this tempo is unbelievable!
I can not get enough specially you re small setups I like. Thank you. Mr. Jonathan Kreisberg.
So fluffy and smooth , anybody know if Jonathan goes straight into his amp?
Absoulutely no. He use a lot of pedals, expecially Two different delay and usually he play with Two Amps, transistor + valve (Polytone and Fender Deluxe Reverb) for a Stereo Setup.
that jazzface
wowowowowwoo
Hello team of Elite Music Mentor, greetings from Instagram, great concert of Jonathan Kreisberg, great channel
物凄い演奏
In the words of Ghostface Killah "Daaaaamn, Tracy, that was the bomb."
GO GO GO !!! ...
Elite Music Mentor, you forgot to say where you are or where this is recorded.
andrea22213 this is smalls
Nose picking in the front row at 1:32. Nice !
CG R what about the drummer at 1:50? Haha
damn ..
someone likes a bit of bogie, wogie lol
Gorgeous swing
How did he reduce the feedback of hollow guitars? He stands so close to the AMP.
Johnathans face expressions are priceless. Makes me laugh 😂
鼓手游刃有余快睡着了Orz
not sure jazz guitar gets any better

Very cool.
Holy cow.

Beautifulllllll
This is amazing!
I didn't know Bruce Campbell played guitar.

Jazz guitar seems excellent for facial muscles. Great performance !!
