I'm doing a research for a university assignment on history of design and came across your video. Very informative, on point and the background images makes for a very entertaining experience! Greetings from Brasil. :)
Really enjoyed your presentation. I own two chairs myself. They are being repaired for material upgrade and can't wait to get them back. Thank you! for the background info. Dev Glover, Atlanta, Ga, United States
I'm not a fan of the dispropotionate amount of attention this chair gets in comparison with other clasic pieces of furniture, but this video was really informative and easy to watch; thanks a lot :)
such a great story, thank you for creating! would you mind commenting on the source for the info about Lucia Maholy submitting the photo in the newspaper? I would like to add this info to a project I am doing on the Wassily Chair but need to cite my sources (can't find anything on the internet when I look myself). Thank you!
Thank's, glad you found the video interesting! The info on Maholy was found in the book 'Marcel Breuer - furniture and interiors' written by Christopher Wilk in 1981.
Just sitting in one listening to your wonderful presentation. Joy!!
Thank you so much! We're so glad you found the video interesting!

Nice job. Sitting in one as I write this. I bought mine at a thrift shop for $20, 25 years ago.
You said 'thirty-three' perfectly, lol. Thanks for exposé on the Wassily chair. I enjoyed it. Breuer was very gifted!
Haha, thanks!
Thanks once again. Great content delivered so nicely.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy our videos!

Agree, it's an interesting chair but a bit too hyped today. It can bee see literally everywhere!
@@ScandinavianDesign101 There are copies galore, which makes it quite affordable.

How can you when the Breuer chair was made? Thank you
Its a bit tricky sometimes. Do you have an old Wassily chair?
@@ScandinavianDesign101 yes I do. Thank you for your response.

great but the music uff
I love the chair, but it takes up a lot of space.
But not very comfortable. Like most such modern design, it's more a work of art than it is something to be used for normal everyday use.
Yeah, that’s true. Sculptural and spectacular but hardly cozy. But the Wassily is fairly comfortable compared to similar chairs.
totally disagree. it's my go-to reading chair. nothing beats the bed but as fair chairs go, it's a super comfy one considering the unique design.
