Why is there a Marcel Breuer signature stamped on the leather belt? Do all knoll chairs should have this or only modern ones? Struggling to find a reputable buying guide
For a period knoll put the signature on the leathet backrest. This was done in the late 80s early 90s. The quality should be exceptional, top grade leather and all caps made from chromed metal.
@@deconstructedluxury1964 thanks a lot for the assistance, so age is in the 90s and I assume they didn’t have the leg stamped with the knoll studio like the modern ones? Anything I should look for to authenticate one of these as knoll? Thanks a lot once again for the info!
@@Avenlock there are some bad copies with signatures impressed, but the knoll ones are heavy quality and have much better weight than generic copies. The leather used is very strong high quality and overall construction and weight is much better than anything else. Maybe check the underside of the leather seat, but these versions had no markings or information, but the quality really speaks for itself
I have a vintage bestlite lamp - but the mechanism that holds the slider im place seems to have worn out and it would not stay up - would anyone know how to fix it?
Have you ever sat in a Wassily chair? Yeah it looks great but it is a torture rack to set in. If you want to look stylish sure but if you want comfort head over to Lazy Boy!
When watching this so called expert at work he gets so many things wrong. Reading what he has got up to in his private life seriously disgusted me. I feel so sorry for his poor wife.
