good players can read the opponents attacker and his intentions and react very fast, so a drop shot must be executed extremely well (either extremely short or with a hidden, non-readable shot) to score a point. even if the pitch length is 25m per team, most of the opponent's drop shots don't score a point, but make it relatively easy for the own team to set up an own attack very fast and often before the opponent's players are in their positions to defend. also, in fistball every player is allowed to attack and spike directly at the net, and every player may defend an attack. so a drop shot is very often defended by one of the regular attackers, who are waiting in just 5 to 10m distance.
With the length of the pitch I don't understand why there are not more drop shot attempts.

The ball has time to bounce as well, so they would have a bit more time to react.
