What was also brilliant was the fact that Hewkii and Marduk speak for the first and sometimes only, in the case of Marduk. And the way Nuparu's character is revealed is inspiring. If you're looking for the name of the climatic Matrix battle theme, it is called "Neodammerung" by Don Davis, with a remix of the song made by Navras. Overall, one of the best Bionicle stopmotions made on UA-cam, and one that Bionicle lovers will truly cherish sincce the franchise was ended early. (continued...)
No problem, thanks for asking. Basically the figures are so old that the clay is there to secure the joints. Otherwise, their limbs will fall while I'm animating instead of staying in place. So I put them in key spots to keep them steady.
I'm glad you liked it, as well as the series! It varies from 30 to 45 pictures per second or so. And it took 2 months to animated (animating three or four times a week). Every 10 seconds you see takes about 6 hours.
I am glad that you enjoyed the choreography. And yes, had Nuparu absorbed Matoro's half of the symbiote he would have two red eyes. I had always wanted to remake The Macabre, because I always thought I could have done it better. I also appreciate the fact that you took the time to write three paragraphs on what you thought of the animation. Comments like yours and many others always make the many hours spent on these videos worth it.
Only when I rewatched the saga did I realize that you directly tied in this movie to Bionicle The Macabre. I was actually thoroughly impressed. Making one scene that much better. Your directing is phenomenal as is your voice acting and stop motion prowess. Keep on doing your amazing videos and inspire thousands upon thousands of writers, actors and many others.

There are many ways of keeping figures on the floor. Some people use scotch tape, some people drill the feet into the floor with nails, others use string and I use clay. Pick your poison haha.

Excellent fan fiction. There WERE some rough spots, like when Nuparu confronted the main villain, and the talking scene's movement, but this is a very intricate, tedious, and just plain hard to do video to make, so there's BOUND to be some minor defects. Superb as always, Mr.Smith(Lol). The choreography was amazing: The Toa slaughtering more villains than you can count, improved special effects like the blasters, the backgrounds and MOCs. Funny, I always thought the Skrall was the servant and the orange guy Marduk, not the other way around. I assume that the Nuparu with 2 red eyes full of symbiote is what would've happened if he absorbed Matoro's half back in Storm of Fatality.
Marduk is a physical manifestation of the Symbiote, (which is why he forms out of the ground which is covered with it). Therefore Marduk is the origin of the symbiote, which gets passed on to Nuparu.
This must have taken weeks and weeks! And it shows! As always majestic moves and music- glad I'm subscribed since you never disappoint and always amaze!!!!!!!!!!!
Hahli and Kongu both had ranged weapons where as Hewkii a axe on a chain making it "Ranged' but Matoro and Jaller were the only ones with actual swords. This was the first wave to have more than one toa that had a primarily ranged based weapon. These toa were also the first ones to all have secondary weapons and thus started the trend of having some small projectile.

I like it. A lot, and not just because Bionicles were my childhood. The only feedback I have to offer, is I think during the fight scenes, you coulda done faster than 25-35 frames per second.
Gladiators was my final project for my introductory class to computer animation in Maya 2011. I expect that as I have more final projects I'll have more opportunities to try different things, but usually the animation itself has to be copyright free (and Bionicle is copyrighted). I can confirm that there will be the wizard 3 sometime in the future. But that's about it. There may or may not be another Bionicle animation.
Absolutely fantastic work, my good man. Loved the "Macabre" remake scene (only thing I wished you added was the scene where they ran at each other, since I also loved that part in the original {Along with the other Matrix-referenced scenes, lol}). Pretty amazing how long your last Bionicle vid was, yet you just keep adapting so well in animation. Can't wait for any other major projects you have in store for us (sad that this is probably your last Bionicle Stop-Motion film, though).

The fight scenes are in-fahking-credible. However, I have trouble making my Bionicles walk. How did you do it? Do I really need clay for it?
